In contrast to the first reviewer, if I could give this place MORE than five stars, I would. I have taken my animals to MRAC for fifteen years. It was owned until recently by Dr. Hull, who retired. It is now owned by Dr. Lohr, who has worked there as a part time vet since about 2007. I would not trust the health and lives of my fur children to anyone else in this city. Dr. Lohr is professional, extremely knowledgeable and smart- but knows if he needs to refer to a specialist- no ego. He is kind and gentle with the animals, even my hellion cat who turns into a flailing cyclone of fur, fangs, and claws anytime she goes to the vet. Animals are unpredictable, and Dr. Lohr and his staff are quite skilled at handling animal behavior effectively and humanely, protecting the the animals, themselves, and the owners. An added bonus for the cat parents out there, Dr. Lohr has special training in feline medicine. He is also involved in (donates his time and surgical skills to) several organizations who do trap-neuter-return for feral cats. He is a genuinely caring, nice person. If, like me, your animals are part of your family, take them here. I cannot recommend them highly enough. And one final comment, also in response to the first reviewer. I feel I know Dr. Lohr about as well as any veterinarian/client can- over the years he has worked there, I have had between four and six cats, all rescues, all with major medical problems. Given this scenario, you tend to become chummy with your veterinarian. I cannot imagine him ever making a statement about slapping one of his employees in the face. That is simply absurd. I don't know what could have been happening that the first reviewer (thought he or she) heard this, but it just is not consistent with my experiences at MRAC or anyone who works there. Read Less
