Last Saturday was one of the most difficult days of my life when I lost my beloved Scruffy after a nineteen-month battle to cancer. Dr. Kirchhoffer, tried to tell me that chemo wasn't a cure, but only a treatment. However, I didn't want to believe it. Instead, I clung to the hope that with the right medications, the right supplements and immunity boosters, specially prepared home-cooked food, spring bottled water and love—oh, so much love, I could cure her. God – as well as your staff --knows I tried. With that said however, you gave me an additional year and a half with Scruffy that I otherwise would not have had. “If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever!” My family and I are devastated as we continually wipe away tears and look for our ‘shadow’ which is now forever gone. The healing process will take a long time, but I confess, that it will never be complete. Saying goodbye to Scruffy was heartbreaking, but the compassion that you and your staff showed to us especially in the end and the realization that she has been in such good, caring, and professional hands during these past years is so comforting and is much appreciated by our family.Again, many thanks to your entire staff for the love and special care shown towards our Scruffy, for prolonging her time with us until no longer possible, and in the final chapter of her life, giving our furry child a peaceful and dignified end. With love and heartfelt thanks, Michele Read Less
