I've been bringing my dog here for several years now, and I'm always completely satisfied with the level of care they provide my dog and the customer service they provide to me. Banfield always greets my dog and me with friendly, happy attitudes and they treat my pet as if she's one of their own. The check-in staff are almost always busy every time I need to visit, but they don't let the stress of their busy workload change the care and friendliness they present to us. The veterinary staff is wonderful; they're experienced, knowledgeable, and have great "bedside" manners. They're quick to notify me if they notice any problems or concerns while my dog is in for evaluation and explain what they're seeing and the treatment options in a way that I can clearly understand. My family had my dog enrolled in a Wellness Program, so we always know what to expect during our visit and what costs will be. I did the calculations and found that the wellness plan was the most cost effective method for my dog's healthcare needs. I e always had an appointment prior to visiting, but Banfield does accept walk-ins. I will say though that walk-ins will have to wait a long time to be seen from what I observed. I do wish they would hire more front-desk staff to expedite the check-in process. I dropped off my dog today for her annual dental cleaning and comprehensive exam. The veterinary technician did an excellent job of going over all my dog's treatment plans for the day and what each procedure entails. I could tell that she was very knowledgeable and wanted to take the time to make sure I knew that my dog was going to be treated properly and with excellent care and compassion. I left Banfield feeling confident that my dog was in great care and that I wouldn't need to worry about her today.I would recommend Banfield to friends and family, just make sure you have an appointment before you go. If I could give them NO STARS, I would. My dog had an ear infection and a thyroid issue. Said, "If I wanted what was best for my dog" I should get the wellness plan because it was going to be thousands of dollars to help her. I did, because they played on my weakness and made me feel like a horrible person for not getting her all these treatments. After a few weeks (and my dog not getting any better) I took her to a small local vet. The same tests were run and she needed $200 worth of treatments and was completely fine. They also gave her a thyroid med that cost $8 a month. The same medication that Banfield was going to charge me $80 a month for. Then after a year I thought I would finally be free of the blood and money sucking plan they put me on, however, they had been charging me for months after the fact. When I called to talk to them about it, they basically told me I was an idiot because I signed a contract (while in my devastated state thinking my dog was dying) saying that they would automatically renew my contract if I didn't cancel it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they said no because it was "clear" that they would charge me.
It should have been clear. Now it will be clear to everyone!!
DON'T EVER TAKE YOUR PET TO THESE UNCARING MONEY SUCKERS! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR PET. THEY ONLY WANT TO PRETEND TO CARE AND MAKE YOU FEEL GUILTY THAT YOU CAN'T THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SAVE YOUR PET. THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO TALK TO THEM THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE AN IDIOT. Read Less

We took our English bulldog to Banfield when we were unable to get an appoint with our regular vet to fit in our schedules. This was a recurring allergy issue that was previously treated with steroids and antibiotics, more and more each time. To our delight, steroids were not recommended and our once almost hairless bulldog had fur re-growing in days. We were so pleased with the care and concern she received, we have switched from our previous vet entirely. The vet and staff showed care and concern and were extremely knowledgeable.
Cost wise, her initial treatment was not cheap, but it was inline with the amount we were paying previously. Read Less

Then we got into discussing the actual removal of the cyst and we were quoted $1100+ we went to St. Francis in North Huntingdon and wow what an amazing vet! They actually treated us very nicely and charged us $400 out the door. Literally 1/3 of the price. Plus they didn't try to upsell us anything. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank the team at Banfield-Greensburg for the care received for my 17 year old cat, Tyler. Although he was a patient only for a short while, he felt the love and compassion from everyone who helped us.It was my first time meeting Dr. Wong and the assistant who helped us. Although I was worried that it may make putting down my long time furry friend feel impersonal, my worries were put to rest as Dr. Wong made us feel as though she'd known Tyler and I for years. She put in very tender terms what was happening with my boy and laid out our options warmly and clearly. I can say without a doubt that he passed away in loving hands, not only my own but the vet assistants as well. I am embarrassed to say I did not catch her name, but I'm sure she knows who she is.
