We brought our cat in with a rash. Doctor Tamara Borland immediately started selling us flea medication that our indoor-only cat does not need. He never had a single flea in his life, but because it was flea prevention month, she very adamantly insisted we take their flea prevention service. When we refused to buy the extra services, and asked for the antibiotic, she purposefully gave him a steroid, which inflamed his rash even worse. Clearly not by accident, but as punishment.This woman has no business being around animals, let alone treating sick ones. If you love your pets, please stay far away from Tamara Borland. Read Less

I have tried several different  veterinarians  in the Philadelphia area and they were all terrible until i found world of animals.  They were all so nice there, the vet took the time to talk to me about my cats condition and helped me to understand what was going on.  He definitely cares about animals and the owners.  I wish i would have found this place sooner Read Less

My wife and I went to this amazing place last night. We recently were blessed with this wonderful dog named Olive.The whole entire staff had known Olive from past visits, BUT, the way Olive was welcomed by the staff was mind blowing, nothing short of amazing!They were so welcoming, caring and truly cared about our Olive and her well being. I was really impressed by the knowledge, overwhelming care and concern for Olive. Just amazing to be sure. The visit was really routine in nature, but the care and attention and communication were far from routine!! If you are new to dog ownership like us they will take the time to explain everything they are doing, which for us was really important.So check this out, the doctor comes in after the Tech checks Olive out, gets right down on the floor, talking to her, loving on her, a couple of treats don't hurt either. Proceeds not only to check our Olive out from nose to tail but all the while helping us to understand what she is doing and why. We must have asked 200 questions, maybe more. this amazing staff had an answer for every question, and I mean really answered, not glossing over and giving short answers, really fully understanding that we are new to this, had tons of questions. Did not bother them at all, they are happy to spend the time to make sure they have everything covered. My wife and I left there so completely happy, confident in Olive's care, we talked about them all the way home.I cannot find all the words to help you appreciate this staff and the care they provide.Not only to our Olive, but to us,new owners with tons of questions. Dr. Kameneva is awesome. This was my dog’s first time seeing her. He is very nervous at the vet and She made him feel very comfortable. He had broken a nail and she took great care of him. My male cat was taken to the Elkins Park office, which turned out to be a critical urinary obstruction..This was diagnosed promptly by Dr.Stupine, and treatment was initiated at once. My buddy was than transfered to the  Bethayres office for furthur treatment, resulting in surgery and a 3 day stay I have nothing but the highest praises for Dr. Stupine and his Entire staff, both on a clinical and humane and caring level. It was the first time I was at this vet this morning, I only ever brought my dog to the kennel , I have my usual vet Who I been seeing for years that I like also but there hours sometimes do not work with my work schedule, however I needed an appointment last min today Sunday and Bethayres world of animals was able to get me in. When I Called the office the girl Tara was extremely understanding and friendly. I came in to my appointment and waited a short time , the Doctor was very nice and explained all my options , the vet tech was also extremely friendly and patient even with my dog repeatedly trying to go after him , I had to get several things checked out with my pet which I knew already before I came in and they were very quick and accommodating. This is our new go to place for both if our dogs. The staff is awesome and the doctor was so gentle, caring and loving to our dog who was not feeling well. They not only provided great care, they called the next day, sent a follow up email, and sent us a card in the mail. The staff answering the phone needs to be educated on the procedures that each doctor do. That way people don't waste their time bringing their animals in for senseless exams after being told that the doctor does not even do a specific surgery on a large dog after the doctor examined her twice! Senseless and disturbing. The doctor thought that the Not giving me a bill, was doing me such a favor when all I want it was good care for my animal. A total disgrace Read Less

We have had always great experiences with World of Animals. We started going to them with our first dog when we lived in NE philly but since have moved to New Jersey. We still take the drive in to go there because they are wonderful with my dogs and very nice and knowledgeable. Read Less

My cat was having dental issues, and I was worried he had an abscess. It was a Sunday, and my normal vets office was closed. World of Animals is open on Sundays, and fit me right in. There office is very nice, and I did not realize how close to me they were. Everyone, from the girls at the front desk, the male tech, and the doctor were extremely nice and so kind with my cat. The doctor took care of the problem, and he is doing great. I was also very happy that they didn't over charge, seeing that it was a Sunday. So happy with them, and will now be our new vet . I am so unhappy with the services and the attitude that I've received at the Vet office. First of all, in general, I think they are overpriced compared to other Vet offices. They attitude that I've received from the multiple staff is unappreciated. I was looking to get a rabies shot for my dog which was due after 3 years. The time between her last examination and her other round of shots was only 6 months. I was not looking to pay another 50 some dollars because the timing of shots was off. I think i'm most upset at the lack of communication. I wrote my parents a note that I only wanted a rabies shot and not another examination (since we were just there last spring). Instead of informing my parents that they had to do an examination, they nodded and continued with the services and did not even bother to let them know that they would charge for the exam until it was all said and done. When i called and spoke with the manager about my experience, they were not understanding at all and added additional frustration to an already frustrating experience. My review is of the boarding services. I wanted to like this place soooo much. It's 2 minutes from my house & the price is right. The staff seems nice enough, but Unfortunately there must not be much personal attention given to the animals when they stay here. Our little lap dog came home completely traumatized. My daughter asked if they gave us the wrong dog!  Wasn't herself for about a week. Switched back to the more expensive kennel further away. Huge difference. She comes home happy & rested. World of Animals at Bethayres is the best veterinarian service, bar none. They took care of our furbaby, Barbie, until she had to leave us. Now they give The Dude the best loving care and attention. Their veterinarian services are excellent. Dr. Incze, Dr. Kameneva and Dr. Shields are thorough, and obviously animal lovers. The front desk staff and the assistants are just as kind, caring and wonderful; The Dude loves all the extra attention. Their boarding services are superb. Where else can your dog have trail walks, play time with the other pups, AND extra one-on-one cuddle time?WOA Bethayres comes highly recommended by our family! Read Less

I was coming to that place for a while, and noticed that prices going up crazy high. Looks like heavy advertisement in local newspapers very costly, and they need to maintain high income at the same time, so customer has to pay for everything. I took a cat off the street, for the simple check-up and shots, they charged me almost $600. I switched to another veterinary place now (less then a mile away), where they charge twice as less, and I was told there that many of they new customers are running away now from "World of animals" because of ridiculous and outrages rates. I did not even mention 2 unnecessary ( but recommended) surgeries for my cats, which were costed me life's of 2 cats, and around $5000 for surgeries and then cremations. Read Less
