I had taken my pets (3 dogs, 2 cats) to KVH for years but my latest encounter was my last.    I took my teacup poodle in because I believed she had lymes.    After several tests, ($160 bill) they couldn't "really" tell me what was wrong with her, so they gave me antibiotics and pain pills and sent me home.     When I paid the bill,  I told the ladies there I thought the prices were ridiculous;  they're comment to me;   "other vets charge more".   I lost my best friend Toby to this hospital because they didn't diagnose and treat him properly when he DID have lyme's. It's no wonder they charge so much.   They have WAY to many people working there than need be.   6 people floating around behind the desk?  Old equipment, (but they charge ya full price) that was paid for long ago.   If you choose to go there, expect a bill of at least $150, no matter the reason you brought your animal in. Pros- wait time was less than 5 mins Cons- vet hardly looked at my dog, we were there for an initial exam as a new patient. Was going to schedule a teeth cleaning. I do not feel the vet explained the process of the procedure at all. Did not even look in my dogs mouth until prompted. - Quote did not include pre bloodwork or post fluids which I think is neglectful and should be included in package. -Did not feel they cared for my pet at all. -bloody fluids on waiting room floor- not a very clean smelling place I moved 45 mins away from my previous vet so was hoping to like them. My cat had an eye injury, and I'm new in town. I am on a very fixed income and tight budget, and was worried I didn't have the money for the vet visit. I needn't have worried, I was told, on the phone, that they would work with me. It turned out that their rates are very reasonable, and I had enough. Dr. Parastu Gefert was very nice, knowledgeable and good with my very unhappy and scared Hudson. My cats are strictly indoor, and I really appreciate that the clinic didn't try to force me to give him all kinds of vaccinations, which I don't feel he needs. We rescued mr britches . He’s 8 years old my 10 year old was concerned that he wouldn’t be able to grow up and be around very long. The doctor assured her she would have mr britches for a very long time. We were so pleased with the doctor staff and waited just minutes before we were seen. A very loving place. I completely trust everyone there. Made my daughter very happy as well as my husband and I. They are truly there for the animals. If there was a higher ⭐️ then 5 they would truly deserve it. These guys are fantastic! The staff was all very nice and very sweet to me and my dog! I called in the morning with a bit of an emergency and they were able to see me that afternoon due to a cancellation! The service was fast, accurate, and very reasonably priced! Everything was explained fully and all of my questions were answered. Best of all, my little buddy is back to his happy healthy self!! These guys are awesome!
