Best Vets yet.Greatest service my dog ever received. My dogs last vet worked on my dog for a year for Allergies with shots , meds and shampoo with very poor results. I have known Doctors Sam and AnneMarie Yoder, the founders and owners of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic for a long, long time. Soon after Sam graduated from college, he became our family farm's large animal vet, so we were really excited when he was ready to open a small-animal practice, as well. I am happy to say that over the more than thirty years that we have known them, the quality of care and service has only increased. The doctors at the clinic are excellent, as are the animal techs and the office/reception staff. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help, no matter the situation. After moving to Kutztown from Florida we had to find new vet care for our dog; unfortunately, quickly! We drove past Silver Maple several times and loved the name and the look of the place so when the time came I called and they got us in the same day, on a Monday no less! The staff, from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the tech to Dr. Mary Coughlin and all the way to the check out counter were all compassionate and friendly. They were so sweet to our girl Cora, she was scared, they made her relax, you could tell every one of them loved animals !! I actually no longer take my dog to Silver Maple but that is ONLY because I have recently moved -- If I could have taken this office of wonderful veterinarians and staff with me, I would have! I have yet to find an office yet that I trust as much as SMVC. They are honest, good people who always took care of my dog. I never had to second guess anything they told me. Great service. The doctors are very informative and patient oriented- my Dr. called me to update me on diagnostics frequently. When the boarding service here was already booked I needed to shop around for another. I was dismayed to see the negative review here which does not appear to be accurate when compared to my experience. I have been bringing my pets to Silver Maple for ten years. I have always found the staff to be cheerful, professional and compassionate, including on the phone. The kennel is clean, the accommodations for our dog were quite roomy and very affordable. I brought my dog to Silver Maple after moving into the area. At first I thought I had found a great vet. He has a life long health problem that requires a shot every month. The first visit with the Dr., who by the way seemed very well informed, went well. When I came in for his second shot the office was very crowded and the staff seemed very stressed out and hurried. I was told that they would price match the medication. That was a joke. They waited less than a week before his appointment to call and say that they were unable to match the price I found. Myself and my husband were on the phone with them several times regarding this issue. Then they called and said they needed my credit card information so they could order the meds. I didn't know if the medication would arrive in time for his appointment, I was frantic. I find out later that they had the medication in stock the whole time and played this game to get me to pay their inflated price. I DO NOT reccomend silver maple to anyone.
