To say I am not happy is an understatement. Took my dog in on Friday to have stitches removed and they caused more damage to her ear removing them. They took a chunk out of the tip which you can see in the first photo was there prior to removal. Not only is a chunk missing but other stitches were torn out leaving more rips.
If they were having issues they should have recommended sedating her to SAFELY remove them! I would have gladly paid or rescheduled to have that done! I was never given the option instead they just grabbed as many techs as possible to pile on top of her and RIP these out INCLUDING A CHUNK OF HER EAR!!!
I knew it wasn’t going to be perfect and even accepted that it may never heal back together. That is fine but to rip a piece of her ear off while removing stitches is unacceptable.

Great Vet. and wonderful Staff. Silver Maple is a 1.5 hour ride from my house, luckily it is not that far of a trek because it is one of the few vets in the US that perform vasectomies and OSS. My puppy underwent a Vasectomy last year and I could not be happier. I am looking forward to my new puppy getting an OSS in the very near future. Well done Silver Maple and Thank You!!

I have known Doctors Sam and AnneMarie Yoder, the founders and owners of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic for a long, long time. Soon after Sam graduated from college, he became our family farm's large animal vet, so we were really excited when he was ready to open a small-animal practice, as well. I am happy to say that over the more than thirty years that we have known them, the quality of care and service has only increased. The doctors at the clinic are excellent, as are the animal techs and the office/reception staff. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help, no matter the situation. There simply is no other veterinary office that I would consider using.

From the moment my pet and I walked in the door to the moment we left, we were welcomed and loved. Even more important, though, is the excellent and thorough care received. They provided treatment, extensive education, prevention techniques, and true loving care. Because of the extensive expertise they have in both traditional and holistic treatments, options for caring for your pet are also extensive. I moved away from the area, and often consider driving the 2 hours it would take to go back to them, if I should have another serious issue with one of my pets. There is no vet in my new are that comes close to them.

After moving to Kutztown from Florida we had to find new vet care for our dog; unfortunately, quickly! We drove past Silver Maple several times and loved the name and the look of the place so when the time came I called and they got us in the same day, on a Monday no less! The staff, from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the tech to Dr. Mary Coughlin and all the way to the check out counter were all compassionate and friendly. They were so sweet to our girl Cora, she was scared, they made her relax, you could tell every one of them loved animals !! Dr. Coughlin walked in the exam room and immediately got down on her knees and talked to Cora. They cared, it was obvious! No question, they have gained a loyal client. I feel very confident recommending them highly!!!

I actually no longer take my dog to Silver Maple but that is ONLY because I have recently moved -- If I could have taken this office of wonderful veterinarians and staff with me, I would have! I have yet to find an office yet that I trust as much as SMVC. They are honest, good people who always took care of my dog. I never had to second guess anything they told me. They truly care about their patients, and not just the $$$ like most vet offices. THANK YOU, Silver Maple, for three wonderful years of caring for my dog. I am sad that we are too far to use your services, but happy to recommend anyone in the area to you!***I've used SMVC for vet services only -- not kennel, bathing, etc.***

I could never say enough about how amazing this vet is! Dr. Sam and his staff treat your pets like their own. They understand that your furry friends are a key part of your family. Kelly is an absolute rockstar in the kennel. Our dogs are always excited to see her and enjoy their stay in what we refer to as the "doggie spa." When the boarding service here was already booked I needed to shop around for another. I was dismayed to see the negative review here which does not appear to be accurate when compared to my experience. I have been bringing my pets to Silver Maple for ten years. I have always found the staff to be cheerful, professional and compassionate, including on the phone. The kennel is clean, the accommodations for our dog were quite roomy and very affordable. These are people who love and know how to take very good care of animals.

I brought my dog to Silver Maple after moving into the area. At first I thought I had found a great vet. He has a life long health problem that requires a shot every month. The first visit with the Dr., who by the way seemed very well informed, went well. When I came in for his second shot the office was very crowded and the staff seemed very stressed out and hurried. I was told that they would price match the medication. That was a joke. They waited less than a week before his appointment to call and say that they were unable to match the price I found. Myself and my husband were on the phone with them several times regarding this issue. Then they called and said they needed my credit card information so they could order the meds. I didn't know if the medication would arrive in time for his appointment, I was frantic. I find out later that they had the medication in stock the whole time and played this game to get me to pay their inflated price. I DO NOT reccomend silver maple to anyone. I have known Doctors Sam and AnneMarie Yoder, the founders and owners of Silver Maple Veterinary Clinic for a long, long time. Soon after Sam graduated from college, he became our family farm's large animal vet, so we were really excited when he was ready to open a small-animal practice, as well. I am happy to say that over the more than thirty years that we have known them, the quality of care and service has only increased. The doctors at the clinic are excellent, as are the animal techs and the office/reception staff. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help, no matter the situation. There simply is no other veterinary office that I would consider using.

I could not imagine and trusting my animals to any other that nary clinic in the area as from the moment I walked in with my dogs for their veterinary care it was a warm, caring and compassionate environment and obvious that the animals are there upmost priority. They provided treatment, extensive education, prevention techniques, and true loving care. Because of the extensive expertise they have in both traditional and holistic treatments, options for caring for your pet are also extensive. I moved away from the area, and often consider driving the 2 hours it would take to go back to them, if I should have another serious issue with one of my pets. There is no vet in my new are that comes close to them.

After moving to Kutztown from Florida we had to find new vet care for our dog; unfortunately, quickly! We drove past Silver Maple several times and loved the name and the look of the place so when the time came I called and they got us in the same day, on a Monday no less! The staff, from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the tech to Dr. Mary Coughlin and all the way to the check out counter were all compassionate and friendly. They were so sweet to our girl Cora, she was scared, they made her relax, you could tell every one of them loved animals !! Dr. Coughlin walked in the exam room and immediately got down on her knees and talked to Cora. They cared, it was obvious! No question, they have gained a loyal client. I feel very confident recommending them highly!!!

I actually no longer take my dog to Silver Maple but that is ONLY because I have recently moved -- If I could have taken this office of wonderful veterinarians and staff with me, I would have! I have yet to find an office yet that I trust as much as SMVC. They are honest, good people who always took care of my dog. I never had to second guess anything they told me. They truly care about their patients, and not just the $$$ like most vet offices. THANK YOU, Silver Maple, for three wonderful years of caring for my dog. I am sad that we are too far to use your services, but happy to recommend anyone in the area to you!***I've used SMVC for vet services only -- not kennel, bathing, etc.***

Best care, vet and bording for our two ferrets. Not any vet can handle ferrets, but SMVC does, and does it perfectly. We would not think of taking Milla & Asshton anywhere else.

I could never say enough about how amazing this vet is! Dr. Sam and his staff treat your pets like their own. They understand that your furry friends are a key part of your family. Kelly is an absolute rockstar in the kennel. Our dogs are always excited to see her and enjoy their stay in what we refer to as the "doggie spa." Everything is organized and they ALWAYS wash the bedding before pick up. From start to finish this is the place to take your furry family members. Look no further....youll thank me later!

When the boarding service here was already booked I needed to shop around for another. I was dismayed to see the negative review here which does not appear to be accurate when compared to my experience. I have been bringing my pets to Silver Maple for ten years. I have always found the staff to be cheerful, professional and compassionate, including on the phone. The kennel is clean, the accommodations for our dog were quite roomy and very affordable. These are people who love and know how to take very good care of animals.

I brought my dog to Silver Maple after moving into the area. At first I thought I had found a great vet. He has a life long health problem that requires a shot every month. The first visit with the Dr., who by the way seemed very well informed, went well. When I came in for his second shot the office was very crowded and the staff seemed very stressed out and hurried. I was told that they would price match the medication. That was a joke. They waited less than a week before his appointment to call and say that they were unable to match the price I found. Myself and my husband were on the phone with them several times regarding this issue. Then they called and said they needed my credit card information so they could order the meds. I didn't know if the medication would arrive in time for his appointment, I was frantic. I find out later that they had the medication in stock the whole time and played this game to get me to pay their inflated price. I DO NOT reccomend silver maple to anyone.
