We took our dog to Animal Crackers last summer. After being new to the area, they were right down the street so we decided to take our dog there when we noticed he had some rashes and a lump on his leg. During the first visit, the one and only vet there (Michelle Hawks) gave him a steroid shot and assured me that the rash and lump on his leg would go away in no time. The rash went away, the lump did not, and that's where the nightmare begins. We took him back there to have the lump looked at after it had doubled in size within a week. She said it needed to be removed and biopsied. We took him in for his surgery on a Friday, during the pre-op the power had gone out for less than a half hour, she decided to then leave for the weekend without performing the surgery, and left our dog with the vet techs (who were very nice). So we then had to reschedule for the next week. She performed the surgery, the biopsy came back negative, but the wound that she left our poor dog with is indescribable. When our dog was given back to us, it looked like the stitches were done with her eyes closed. The wound was barely even closed, and he was still bleeding. They gave us 0 care instructions, and just sent us on our way. Needless to say, his stitches popped 2 days later. We made the poor decision of bringing him back there for her to fix it. She immediately became frustrated with our dog, roughing him around to stay still, causing him eventually to pee himself he was so scared. Without even putting him down, she wanted to just staple him shut. $400 more dollars later, it looked even worse. Our poor dog just ended up with more pain, and staples in him (which we later learned aren't even approved by REAL VETS). The wound ended up looking so bad it was pussing everywhere. The wound popped AGAIN. The THIRD surgery we did was at a different Vet, Gwynedd, where they had to scrape all of the scar tissue out and start over to undo all of her horrible work. DO NOT take your animals here!!! Read Less
