I took in a stray cat in August that someone had dumped on our block, he was friendly, got along with our first fur baby of 7 years and seemed like a perfect fit, he is and we adore him. I have a vet I love that I take my 7 year old cat to but they stopped doing laser declaws a few years ago. I found this practice and while it was a 2 hour drive for me each way they did laser declaws. I was told I would have to establish care at this vet before I could schedule the declaw procedure. I waited until 9/20 for the first appointment, we did blood work, vaccines, flea meds, etc and scheduled his neuter and microchip. At that time I was told by Dr. Leof I needed to wait 6 months to do the declaw. I had originally wanted to do the neuter and declaw in the same surgery and had gotten a quote for it, but it was Dr. Leofs suggestion since he hadn't lived instead to see if he was a stracher before we removed the claws. I agreed, did his neuter on 10/12 and another follow up on 10/20- this is now 6 hours of driving and over 1 thousand dollars later. I called this week to schedule his declaw, he has been inside 6 months and unfortunately is a stracher. When I called I was informed Dr. Pigsley (who performs the declaws) doesn't declaw over the age of 2. This cat was estimated to be 4-8- I asked to speak to Dr. Leof because I was very confused after the conversation we had in September. When Dr. Leof got on the phone before I could say a word she rudely said we don't declaw over the age of 2 there is nothing to discuss. I tried to start to tell the story of her suggesting I wait 6 months and before I could even finish 5 words she cut me off, called me a liar and continued to talk over me, not letting me say a word. I eventually had to raise my voice to ask to be heard and she hung up on me. I called the clinic back, they sent me to voicemail 4 times before answering. I asked to speak to the office manager or chief of staff. Dr. Pigsely called me back and barely gave me a sorry and said we needed to part ways. I wasn't planning on bringing my pet back there after this treatment but the absolute negligence and complete disregard is shocking to say the least. I have never been hung up on before! I would never have not taken my new fur baby to my vet of 7 years who I trust and love, and who doesn't cost as much if this vet hadn't promised the option of declaw. My current vet could have done blood work, vaccines, flea meds, tests and neutered for half the price and it's 20 minutes away. I spent over 1k and 6 hours of my time for absolutely no reason. If it was more money I would be suing for a refund and the cost of my time. Beware this vet will say whatever necessary to make money. Dr. Leof- you should be ashamed of how you behaved, as a professional adult in the medical field I would never speak to a patient the way you spoke to me today or hang up on a patient who had done wrong except bring to your attention an error that you made. Dr. Pigsley I would be cautious to keep someone like that on my staff.

Came by for a check up of our 22 year old cat Misty. We have come here over the years but have not been by for some time. Nurse showed up around 825a for our 815a appointment and took history. Vet poked head in at 845a and said she would be back soon. I guess all doc/vets are the same and eventually we will see the vet.We originally got Misty as an abandoned kitten from this place 22 years ago, so they have all her history. She is slowing down and we just wanted a second opinion about what to expect and do. Vet diagnosed late stage renal failure. There is no coming back from this. The Vet was extremely empathetic and explained our options. Neither my wife nor I were prepared for this today. Tears were shed. A painful moment. Goodbye Misty.We Recommend this Animal Hospital. They are caring, supportive and tender with the animals. The place was not crowded but there were a few other pets waiting their turn. There were assistants and helpers everywhere. The place is well staffed and very clean.Nancy & Mark.

This is an excellent vet. Dr Pigsley, Dr Matkowski, and all the nurses are excellent with our dogs and cats, and always make them feel comfortable (even our extremely anxious dog, who’s afraid of everything). They are all so knowledgeable and friendly.
The vet overall is very accommodating and very reasonably priced compared to other vets I’ve been to. I would highly recommend them!

Hate to write this but it needs to be told.
We went here with our dog. He belly was very hard and his demeanor was off. We knew he got into pizza. We took him here. They wanted bloodwork, x rays, and to gave him a shot. The total would of been 650.00.
So, I agreed to the shot.
And gave them 150.00.
That night we came home and out dog was not able to move his back legs.
The next day we took him to a different vet.
In 5 minutes the new vet said I know the issue. He messed up his back. His belly was hard from the pain. He put him on 3 meds and took a x ray. The whole bill was 250.00.
He started walking 3 days later. This place missed what was really going on.
And tryed to bill us a crazy amount. All I can say is always get a 2ed option when you can. I really feel like they missed what was going on with our dog.
Thank God for the other vet being so knowable.

I have been going here for several years and have been immensely happy with this practice. I came here originally to try a get some stronger flea and tick medication because the Frontline and sage powder my holistic vet had given weren't effective. The front desk asked Dr. Widenmeyer what to recommend and he came out and spoke to me personally to alert me to the fact that I had a flea infestation and needed to take more aggressive steps to get an exterminator etc. I had never had problems with fleas and felt like an idiot my own vet had been so unhelpful and uninformative when she discovered a few fleas during a routine visit! I immediately changed vets and five cats later I am still very happy here. Dr. Widenmeyer and Dr. Loeffler are caring and compassionate but honest and direct. They give you options regarding level of care, cost, and prognosis. You are never made to feel that you should have your cat undergo painful or expensive treatments or take heroic measures if you can't afford or don't want the animal to suffer. Dr. Widenmeyer is a brilliant diagnostician and takes the time to talk with you, even by phone to discuss your animal's health. When my cat died they were very kind and caring and even sent a sympathy card and rose. I can't say enough about this wonderful practice.

My pets have been patients of Dr. W for well over 36 years. He always gives expert advice, is up to date on the latest in pet care, and will always try and go for the least expensive and least invasive treatment as the first line of defense. He has given me countless extra years with my dogs over the years, that w/o his advice I dont believe we would have gotten. ( He also admits when he feels a specialist is the one to be addressing the issue and i have been to VSEC in Levittown many times als0). The other two vets he has assisting in his practice are fantastic as well. All the vets there are approachable, caring and really listen to what I am saying and addressing my concerns. I have not met one staff personnel over the years that hasnt been friendly, helpful and dedicated. Dr. W obviously hires the best and it shows! Highly recommend this vet hospital.

Love this vet! We've seen 3 of the doctors and they are all wonderful, as well as all of the desk and tech staff! They are very friendly and treat you and my dog, Badge, very well! They are usually available to take you the day of, which is nice. Once I brought Badge in because we cut his nail too short and he bled. They stopped the bleeding quickly and didn't even charge for the quick fix! Only taking a star off for wait time.

The Animals Hospital of Levittown is an awesome place to take your four legged furry family. The Animals Hospital has always been fast to set up appointments, give top notch quality healthcare for your pet, is reasonably affordable and the staff extremely friendly.
My family has taken our pets to the Animals' Hospital for over a decade and we have never had a negative experience. The employees have always been overly knowledgeable, attentive and polite.
The most recent visit to the Animals Hospital was quick and professional service for my cat Koal. The love and care the vet techs and nurses gave to Koal - A.K.A Mr. Cheeks was great; he'll be back to be neutered.
If you are looking for a veterinary hospital in the Lower Bucks area, definitely take your fuzzy furry family here!

My wife and I started taking our dog Kona here a few years ago, 3 I think, to be exact.Last year the lab they send their blood tests to told us that Kona had lyme disease. we were so scared. we bought the necessary meds and had the vet do a second blood test to be sure. turns out she did not have lyme disease. we were refunded the lab expenses but not the 50 for meds. Not the vets fault but they chose the lab they sent the blood to. fast forward to October 19th Kona was suddenly in very bad shape so we took her in as they squeezed us into their schedule. we arrived earlier then the scheduled appointment and Kona laid "dying" on the floor as we waited our turn. this time they did an xray and found a tumor. the woman vet who works at night told us the tumor ruptured and she was in severe condition. they never showed us the xray. we were given two options, neither of which were to take her home that night. 1, put her down. 2, take her to vsec for surgery. we took her to vsec and we're given a herbal extract of multiple ingredients that we were told could possibly stop the bleeding. This all happened october 19th. Kona is in great shape now and you'd never know anything ever happened. yes, the tumor is still there. I feel like they were too quick to assess her as terminal and if we had taken this vets advice we would have lost precious time with our friend. We won't be back.

I highly recommend The Animals Hospital of levittown...Dr. Organist did an amazing job with Bella's surgery today and Dr. Caldwell is great too she listens closely to all of your concerns and eases your anxiety. Dr. Organist will calm your pets anxiety by actually getting on the floor with your pet to gain their confidence she also loves to give them tons of hugs and kisses. They are 2 of the sweetest vet's I've ever dealt with since day one they have treated us so good. The techs are also very sweet If you are looking for a good place to take your animals to I'd recommend this one

Sloppy note-taking or unthorough interpretation by the techs had Rocky in a muzzle during his last visit, but also sloppy record keeping notes a wrong birthday and out-dated contact numbers.Sue Hennigan, the hospital manager was receptive to my complaints and left me with her card after discussing with me what may have happened to lead up to muzzling and leading me to the receptionist to update our information. Over all, i am not displeased with Flowers Mill, but will be paying close attention during the next few visits. They remain one of the more reasonably priced practices in the area and the doctors have always been great with my questions and concerns

Dr. Organist is the best. She has always given my pets the best attention and care. I was able to make a sick visit appointment with Dr. Organist this evening (she is the only one I will ever see) and she helped me feel comfortable and guided me towards the best care for my dog. My companion and best friend Miss Maggie was a Scotch Terrier that recently had to be put down. Been taking Miss Maggie to AHL for almost 5 years. A year ago she was diagnosed with cancer. The care and concern for both her and me from all those at AHL was above and beyond. I feel I had made good friends. Don't want to single out any particular vet because they ALL were super. From Debbie and Jackie and Lauren and everyone including techs make you feel like "you and your pet" are very important. Thanks to everyone for making it possible that I had Miss Maggie for a full year more than was suppose to. And most of all...for the concern for my welfare when I had to put her down. Your compassion was very much appreciated.

This was our second visit to AHL and we couldn't be happier! Everyone is friendly, professional and helpful! On this second visit, Ollie had an accident in the carrier on the way and I was immediately brought to a room and given supplies and towels to help get him and the carrier cleaned up!
Everything is done to lessen the stress of both the animal and the owners! Dr. Matkowski is phenomenal, patient, gentle with Ollie, and never rushes through the exam or the explanation! He called regarding blood work and took time to answer any questions and even emailed me additional information.
I also find the office to be bright and cheery and always clean. Both times I have been there, our wait to be brought back and seen was very short.
I am super happy with AHL!

I took in a stray cat in August that someone had dumped on our block, he was friendly, got along with our first fur baby of 7 years and seemed like a perfect fit, he is and we adore him. I have a vet I love that I take my 7 year old cat to but they stopped doing laser declaws a few years ago. I found this practice and while it was a 2 hour drive for me each way they did laser declaws. I was told I would have to establish care at this vet before I could schedule the declaw procedure. I waited until 9/20 for the first appointment, we did blood work, vaccines, flea meds, etc and scheduled his neuter and microchip. At that time I was told by Dr. Leof I needed to wait 6 months to do the declaw. I had originally wanted to do the neuter and declaw in the same surgery and had gotten a quote for it, but it was Dr. Leofs suggestion since he hadn't lived instead to see if he was a stracher before we removed the claws. I agreed, did his neuter on 10/12 and another follow up on 10/20- this is now 6 hours of driving and over 1 thousand dollars later. I called this week to schedule his declaw, he has been inside 6 months and unfortunately is a stracher. When I called I was informed Dr. Pigsley (who performs the declaws) doesn't declaw over the age of 2. This cat was estimated to be 4-8- I asked to speak to Dr. Leof because I was very confused after the conversation we had in September. When Dr. Leof got on the phone before I could say a word she rudely said we don't declaw over the age of 2 there is nothing to discuss. I tried to start to tell the story of her suggesting I wait 6 months and before I could even finish 5 words she cut me off, called me a liar and continued to talk over me, not letting me say a word. I eventually had to raise my voice to ask to be heard and she hung up on me. I called the clinic back, they sent me to voicemail 4 times before answering. I asked to speak to the office manager or chief of staff. Dr. Pigsely called me back and barely gave me a sorry and said we needed to part ways. I wasn't planning on bringing my pet back there after this treatment but the absolute negligence and complete disregard is shocking to say the least. I have never been hung up on before! I would never have not taken my new fur baby to my vet of 7 years who I trust and love, and who doesn't cost as much if this vet hadn't promised the option of declaw. My current vet could have done blood work, vaccines, flea meds, tests and neutered for half the price and it's 20 minutes away. I spent over 1k and 6 hours of my time for absolutely no reason. If it was more money I would be suing for a refund and the cost of my time. Beware this vet will say whatever necessary to make money. Dr. Leof- you should be ashamed of how you behaved, as a professional adult in the medical field I would never speak to a patient the way you spoke to me today or hang up on a patient who had done wrong except bring to your attention an error that you made. Dr. Pigsley I would be cautious to keep someone like that on my staff.

Came by for a check up of our 22 year old cat Misty. We have come here over the years but have not been by for some time. Nurse showed up around 825a for our 815a appointment and took history. Vet poked head in at 845a and said she would be back soon. I guess all doc/vets are the same and eventually we will see the vet.We originally got Misty as an abandoned kitten from this place 22 years ago, so they have all her history. She is slowing down and we just wanted a second opinion about what to expect and do. Vet diagnosed late stage renal failure. There is no coming back from this. The Vet was extremely empathetic and explained our options. Neither my wife nor I were prepared for this today. Tears were shed. A painful moment. Goodbye Misty.We Recommend this Animal Hospital. They are caring, supportive and tender with the animals. The place was not crowded but there were a few other pets waiting their turn. There were assistants and helpers everywhere. The place is well staffed and very clean.Nancy & Mark.

This is an excellent vet. Dr Pigsley, Dr Matkowski, and all the nurses are excellent with our dogs and cats, and always make them feel comfortable (even our extremely anxious dog, who’s afraid of everything). They are all so knowledgeable and friendly.
The vet overall is very accommodating and very reasonably priced compared to other vets I’ve been to. I would highly recommend them!

Hate to write this but it needs to be told.
We went here with our dog. He belly was very hard and his demeanor was off. We knew he got into pizza. We took him here. They wanted bloodwork, x rays, and to gave him a shot. The total would of been 650.00.
So, I agreed to the shot.
And gave them 150.00.
That night we came home and out dog was not able to move his back legs.
The next day we took him to a different vet.
In 5 minutes the new vet said I know the issue. He messed up his back. His belly was hard from the pain. He put him on 3 meds and took a x ray. The whole bill was 250.00.
He started walking 3 days later. This place missed what was really going on.
And tryed to bill us a crazy amount. All I can say is always get a 2ed option when you can. I really feel like they missed what was going on with our dog.
Thank God for the other vet being so knowable.

I have been going here for several years and have been immensely happy with this practice. I came here originally to try a get some stronger flea and tick medication because the Frontline and sage powder my holistic vet had given weren't effective. The front desk asked Dr. Widenmeyer what to recommend and he came out and spoke to me personally to alert me to the fact that I had a flea infestation and needed to take more aggressive steps to get an exterminator etc. I had never had problems with fleas and felt like an idiot my own vet had been so unhelpful and uninformative when she discovered a few fleas during a routine visit! I immediately changed vets and five cats later I am still very happy here. Dr. Widenmeyer and Dr. Loeffler are caring and compassionate but honest and direct. They give you options regarding level of care, cost, and prognosis. You are never made to feel that you should have your cat undergo painful or expensive treatments or take heroic measures if you can't afford or don't want the animal to suffer. Dr. Widenmeyer is a brilliant diagnostician and takes the time to talk with you, even by phone to discuss your animal's health. When my cat died they were very kind and caring and even sent a sympathy card and rose. I can't say enough about this wonderful practice.

My pets have been patients of Dr. W for well over 36 years. He always gives expert advice, is up to date on the latest in pet care, and will always try and go for the least expensive and least invasive treatment as the first line of defense. He has given me countless extra years with my dogs over the years, that w/o his advice I dont believe we would have gotten. ( He also admits when he feels a specialist is the one to be addressing the issue and i have been to VSEC in Levittown many times als0). The other two vets he has assisting in his practice are fantastic as well. All the vets there are approachable, caring and really listen to what I am saying and addressing my concerns. I have not met one staff personnel over the years that hasnt been friendly, helpful and dedicated. Dr. W obviously hires the best and it shows! Highly recommend this vet hospital.

They are usually available to take you the day of, which is nice. Once I brought Badge in because we cut his nail too short and he bled. They stopped the bleeding quickly and didn't even charge for the quick fix! Only taking a star off for wait time.

The Animals Hospital of Levittown is an awesome place to take your four legged furry family. The Animals Hospital has always been fast to set up appointments, give top notch quality healthcare for your pet, is reasonably affordable and the staff extremely friendly.
My family has taken our pets to the Animals' Hospital for over a decade and we have never had a negative experience. The employees have always been overly knowledgeable, attentive and polite.
The most recent visit to the Animals Hospital was quick and professional service for my cat Koal. The love and care the vet techs and nurses gave to Koal - A.K.A Mr. Cheeks was great; he'll be back to be neutered.

My wife and I started taking our dog Kona here a few years ago, 3 I think, to be exact.Last year the lab they send their blood tests to told us that Kona had lyme disease. we were so scared. we bought the necessary meds and had the vet do a second blood test to be sure. turns out she did not have lyme disease. we were refunded the lab expenses but not the 50 for meds. Not the vets fault but they chose the lab they sent the blood to. fast forward to October 19th Kona was suddenly in very bad shape so we took her in as they squeezed us into their schedule. we arrived earlier then the scheduled appointment and Kona laid "dying" on the floor as we waited our turn. this time they did an xray and found a tumor. the woman vet who works at night told us the tumor ruptured and she was in severe condition. they never showed us the xray. we were given two options, neither of which were to take her home that night. 1, put her down. 2, take her to vsec for surgery. we took her to vsec and we're given a herbal extract of multiple ingredients that we were told could possibly stop the bleeding. This all happened october 19th. Kona is in great shape now and you'd never know anything ever happened. yes, the tumor is still there. I feel like they were too quick to assess her as terminal and if we had taken this vets advice we would have lost precious time with our friend. We won't be back.

Dr. Organist will calm your pets anxiety by actually getting on the floor with your pet to gain their confidence she also loves to give them tons of hugs and kisses. They are 2 of the sweetest vet's I've ever dealt with since day one they have treated us so good. A customer now for over 5 years and a little unhappy with recent visits. Sloppy note-taking or unthorough interpretation by the techs had Rocky in a muzzle during his last visit, but also sloppy record keeping notes a wrong birthday and out-dated contact numbers.Sue Hennigan, the hospital manager was receptive to my complaints and left me with her card after discussing with me what may have happened to lead up to muzzling and leading me to the receptionist to update our information. Over all, i am not displeased with Flowers Mill, but will be paying close attention during the next few visits. They remain one of the more reasonably priced practices in the area and the doctors have always been great with my questions and concerns

Dr. Organist is the best. She has always given my pets the best attention and care. I was able to make a sick visit appointment with Dr. Organist this evening (she is the only one I will ever see) and she helped me feel comfortable and guided me towards the best care for my dog. My companion and best friend Miss Maggie was a Scotch Terrier that recently had to be put down. Been taking Miss Maggie to AHL for almost 5 years. A year ago she was diagnosed with cancer. The care and concern for both her and me from all those at AHL was above and beyond. I feel I had made good friends. Don't want to single out any particular vet because they ALL were super. From Debbie and Jackie and Lauren and everyone including techs make you feel like "you and your pet" are very important. Thanks to everyone for making it possible that I had Miss Maggie for a full year more than was suppose to. And most of all...for the concern for my welfare when I had to put her down. Your compassion was very much appreciated.

This was our second visit to AHL and we couldn't be happier! Everyone is friendly, professional and helpful! On this second visit, Ollie had an accident in the carrier on the way and I was immediately brought to a room and given supplies and towels to help get him and the carrier cleaned up!
Everything is done to lessen the stress of both the animal and the owners! Dr. Matkowski is phenomenal, patient, gentle with Ollie, and never rushes through the exam or the explanation! He called regarding blood work and took time to answer any questions and even emailed me additional information.
I also find the office to be bright and cheery and always clean. Both times I have been there, our wait to be brought back and seen was very short.
I am super happy with AHL!

I've been going to this vet for the past 7 years, I have two dogs one which was diagnosed with hip dysplasia as a puppy. With the vets help and guidance she is now 7 years old, we were not sure she would make it to 2. She is strong and its hard to even tell her condition. I think that says it all. I appreciate thier care for my dogs over the years.
