This is a wonderful practice and the doctors, vet technicians, and staff give 100 percent to my pet Bailey and my family every time we come here. Whether it's a full sick visit, surgery, a nail trim, shots, or even pharmacy refills for Bailey. The attention to detail that my pet receives every time she comes in for a visit is great I always walk out with assurance that my dog received the best medical attention. I like the fact that every time we walk in to valley vets the entire staff says hello Bailey and knows who she is and Bailey just loves to go there she runs into that building. We have been going to Valley Vets for our doggie for nearly ten years now. Now, as we are doing our best to just keep her comfortable, Dr. Schuler has been such a comfort to us and keeping our dog happy. He is warm, honest, and compassionate. The facility itself is spacious, clean, modern, and beautiful, with a nice selection of toys, treats, and foods. We have seen multiple vets there and trust them all implicitly, and all the assistants and techs are friendly and clearly love what they do. We've never had a single issue in ten years. I had been a valley vet customer for over 2 years, taking my senior dog and puppy for check ups and care.  Always seemed overpriced.  Recommend unnecessary tests for lymes disease when I mentioned I found a tick on my dog.  upon questioning, admit that the test will only diagnose, there is no treatment.   Scheduled a time to have my senior dog euthanized, waited 1 hour 40 minutes beyond that time because vet was late to work and appointments backed up.  Final straw was requested a routine test, they demanded to see my dog-get that appointment money-before giving me the results.  Plenty of better options out there. I had a really awful experience with Banfield, and it really made me hesitant to go to any vet. I knew my husky needed some vaccines updated and a checkup to make sure everything was working how it should be. Hannah and Dr. Fertal were a dream to work with. They were very thorough in their explanations of the different testing and vaccines. At no point did I feel pressured to have a ton of extra testing done or buy medicines for this or that. No way will I ever go back to this place. Dr. Ivy was snide and condescending. I could get over that, but the worse part is they over prescribe, over test, over recommend treatment for nearly EVERYTHING. Anything they can do to line their pockets with more money they will recommend despite the best interest of your dog.There is a reason their facility is so nice. Took. My dog their Friday.. 8/5/16 spent $260. For blood test, stool test, they told me that they don't do stool test their. And they couldn't find anything wrong with my dog. But it had a slightly enlarged liver. So Sunday cam and my dog ways crying in pain.. and the sound it was making still was unbearable so 8pm.sunfay night I rush him to pvsec 24emergency.. they said river valley told me wrong ..my dog had ... ...............had to be put down....if they told me at Valley Vet. on Friday that the dog had pancreatitis..my dog would be her today....spent another $650 at the emergency vets.. that included cremation,.. My 13 yr. old cat was beat up by another cat. He had puncture wounds, his little paw was leaking fluid from infection. He had wounds under his armpit that I couldn't see. I truly didn't think he would be fixed up with out extensive treatment and also the cost would be completely unacceptable. When we first took him in the waiting area it was super clean, had no smell, and had these cute baskets everywhere filled with dog toys. They took him in and the assistant looked him over. She was so gentle and sweet with him. The doctor then came in explained in detail what needed to be done. They were so patient with him. The assistant and doctor took him into another room cleaned him all up gave him antibiotic shot. He came back in the room the assistant said he was so good cause they had to shave alot of areas to get to his wounds and he didn't make a fuss at all. It took him about a week until he was up and around. I am extremely grateful for Valley Veterenary Clinic. I thought I would be loosing my best friend when we took him . Now he's all fixed up. I really have a mixed review. There is a lot of staff at this place and that makes it hard. Some of the vets, vet techs, and receptionists are AMAZING. A few are not. I spent $500 for two dogs. One rabie and two for other vaccines, an antibiotic and flea medicine. The gentleman vet tech is half the reason I go. He loves my dogs and it's very obvious! I felt the vet was reading off a card of upsale's of products I should buy. I don't feel like our concerns were necessarily met. I feel like I may need to start shopping for a new place. They are qualified, clean facility. Maybe just not as personal as I would like to be with my vet. Read Less

The entire Valley Vet staff is OUTSTANDING, CARING, and VERY FRIENDLY! In addition, my cat Angel will never go anywhere else again but here. They saved his life in September of 2013 after getting sick with an unexplained illness. Angel loves the place that every time he goes there, he sits on the counters and don't want to leave. We took our two dogs here for their yearly check up...after the exams (during which the doctor spent about 10 minutes total on both dogs, if even, also didn't seem to have reviewed any of the records I sent prior to appointment,) the "suggested" fecal and blood tests and the optional heartworm/flea+tick treatment, the bill came to $575! WHAT? I was completely shocked and voiced my surprise. The tech suggested we not do the heartworm/flea+tick to decrease the bill. We lived in an urban area and the total amount almost met those costs, which were astronomical and ridiculous. The facility is clean and the vet and techs seemed knowledgeable, but in no way does the care reflect the inflated pricing. I called around to compare for myself after the appointment and other vets in the area seem to charge around 20-40% less, depending on service/product. We had a wonderful experience at Kittanning Veterinary Hospital previously, and will be going there from now on (couldn't get an appointment this time.) They offered parallel care, in our opinion, at much more reasonable price for the location. Read Less
