We recently made the decision to switch vets. After reading all the reviews for Brush Run we decided to give it a try with high hopes. I had a problem with my Yorkie and the woman i spoke with on the phone was very nice and able to fit me in the same day (4/9/18 @3pm) due to a cancellation which was great. As we were there, my husband and I talked about how nice and caring everyone seemed so far, especially the vet tech (i wish i knew her name) So we were happy!....
Unfortunately, that all went out the window the second the veterinarian walked through the door. She "introduced" herself with out making any eye contact, no hand shake, no how are you. Throughout the entire appointment she leaned against the table with her arms crossed glaring at us, straight faced, monotone, miserable, demeaning and judgmental yet at the same time seemingly completely unknowledgeable about the subjects being discussed. Asking questions was like pulling teeth. One word answers that didn't even answer our question. and on top of that, she showed zero compassion or love towards our dog.
we left the vet feeling completely disappointed.
going back through other reviews, i see specific vets names mentioned. hers hadn't been mentioned anywhere and i see that her name is in fact not even on their website. I truly hope she was just having a really bad day and doesn't treat everyone this way. I don't know if we will try to see one of the other veterinarians next time or just look elsewhere.
we are young and will have animals all of our lives, and all we want to do is find a lifelong veterinarian that is honest, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable.
I gave 2 stars because the vet tech was kind and showed a true love for animals.

Took our dog in yesterday to have a checkup and schedule her to be spayed. She is a very hyper dog when she sees other dogs and they told me to leave her in the car when I got there and go in to let them know we were there and we could come in the back door. I waited inside with my dog in the car for 20 minutes. Went out to get her to walk her around since I was not comfortable leaving her in the car all that time. Another lady inside told them where I was with my dog. For 45 minutes I was outside waiting to be taken back. Two visitors that came after me (at least a half hour after my dog's apt) were taken and we still weren't called. After waiting outside with a very distraught dog for 65 minutes, I left. Will never go back again!

I have been with this vet for over 20 years and they are always compassionate and take time for their patients. While they are very busy, they always make time to get us in for an appointment if it can't wait. Both the staff and the docs are wonderful and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. In addition, they are fairly priced and while they lay out all of the options for you, there isn't pressure to go with the most extensive or highest cost options.

We took my mom's very timid red heeler in yesterday to get spayed, first they lost our appointment, we had to stand in a very packed waiting room for almost 45 minutes till they figured out what to do with us, then when they took Patches into the back for blood work, I warned the vet that she wouldn't do well without out me and would try to slip her collar, to which she did and came barreling back into the waiting room while the staff chased her and warned people not to touch her she bites, thank god we were in the waiting room still and I was able to catch her. I can't imagine what would have happened had someone opened the front door, we probably would have never seen her again. Then to top things off they sent us home with a cone that was way too big and she can't even walk in it. We will never be back. The worst veterinary experience I have ever had!

I've been bringing my dogs to Brush Run ever since I moved to the South Hills, 18 years ago. I could not have found a better veterinary clinic. The vets are all super friendly, as are the techs and the receptionist. They always ask when I call for an appointment if I have a vet preference. I do not. They've all seen my dogs at one time or another, and I have no complaints on any of them. You can tell these are animal people, and they love what they do. They make what can often be a stressful trip to the vet, something you (while maybe not your pet) look forward to.I thank you all for what you do!

Will never forget how my dog is treated at this facility. Everyone took good care of my poor guy when he was sick and all are very knowledgable! Can't say one bad word about the staff or the facility....

Can't say one bad word about the staff or the facility. I took a kitten in that i found on the street and had upper respiratory, they charged me half price for the visit as i told them I rescued him. This place is not out for money, they are out for our pets health which is what a vet main priority should be.

I primarily use Yelp to view other's reviews on places - never to write my own. However, after reading the previous post I felt the need to give a more accurate review of this vet clinic. My family and I have been bringing our dogs here for over 10 years. Throughout these years we have had nothing but an incredible experience. The vets and staff are so knowledgable, compassionate, and willing to spend time with each of their patients. As my one dog neared her final days in life the vets would call daily to check on her status. When it came time for us to bring her in to put her to sleep the vet actually cried with us. We recently got a new puppy who had an ear infection. Again, the staff would call daily to see how she is. The one vet even called on her day off!If you want compassion, knowledge, convenience, and reasonable prices come to Brush Run Vets.

I am the foster coordinator for Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue. In addition to my 7 personal animals, I have taken 20+ foster dogs to Brush Run over the past few years. These fosters have ranged from young and healthy to old and very sick. Many of them were heartworm positive and required treatment. Some dogs were happy-go-lucky, others were terrified and difficult to handle. The vets and tech staff at BR have all done whatever it took to medically treat my foster dogs and get them healthy and ready for adoption. BR is a very rescue friendly practice; compassionate, caring and thoughtful. They do not upsell services, unlike other vets I have used. I wouldn't go to any other vet for either my personal animals or my fosters.

My wife recently took our puppy to Brush Run animal clinic and the Vet there told my wife to feed our puppy Milo "any of the dog foods in the grocery store...the natural foods out there are just a scam" Uhhh really?? Milo just went in for vaccinations and they gave him rabies, dap, and lepto all at once...then sent her on her way. No warnings, No "what to look for"...just collect their $$ and send you on your way. After observing Milo being lethargic and reading about what may becausing the discharge from his eyes (formaldehyde,mercury in the 5-8 vaccines that he received at once), Ive decided to research other Vets in the area and take our puppy elsewhere.

This is the best vet clinic in the area by far. I have used them for both dogs and cats and they are outstanding. I usually request Dr. Rubis as she is probably my favorite but the other vets are terrific as well- very caring and they take their time when they examine your pet. I never feel rushed and they take their time to answer all of my questions. Sometimes when you call, the girls who answer the lines may put you on hold for a while but its worth the wait. Their rates are also very competitive - lower than the competition. I will not use any other vet clinic. This group is the best.

We recently made the decision to switch vets. After reading all the reviews for Brush Run we decided to give it a try with high hopes. I had a problem with my Yorkie and the woman i spoke with on the phone was very nice and able to fit me in the same day (4/9/18 @3pm) due to a cancellation which was great. As we were there, my husband and I talked about how nice and caring everyone seemed so far, especially the vet tech (i wish i knew her name) So we were happy!....
Unfortunately, that all went out the window the second the veterinarian walked through the door. She "introduced" herself with out making any eye contact, no hand shake, no how are you. Throughout the entire appointment she leaned against the table with her arms crossed glaring at us, straight faced, monotone, miserable, demeaning and judgmental yet at the same time seemingly completely unknowledgeable about the subjects being discussed. Asking questions was like pulling teeth. One word answers that didn't even answer our question. and on top of that, she showed zero compassion or love towards our dog.
we left the vet feeling completely disappointed.
going back through other reviews, i see specific vets names mentioned. hers hadn't been mentioned anywhere and i see that her name is in fact not even on their website. I truly hope she was just having a really bad day and doesn't treat everyone this way. I don't know if we will try to see one of the other veterinarians next time or just look elsewhere.
we are young and will have animals all of our lives, and all we want to do is find a lifelong veterinarian that is honest, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable.
I gave 2 stars because the vet tech was kind and showed a true love for animals.

Took our dog in yesterday to have a checkup and schedule her to be spayed. She is a very hyper dog when she sees other dogs and they told me to leave her in the car when I got there and go in to let them know we were there and we could come in the back door. I waited inside with my dog in the car for 20 minutes. Went out to get her to walk her around since I was not comfortable leaving her in the car all that time. Another lady inside told them where I was with my dog. For 45 minutes I was outside waiting to be taken back. Two visitors that came after me (at least a half hour after my dog's apt) were taken and we still weren't called. After waiting outside with a very distraught dog for 65 minutes, I left. Will never go back again!

I have been with this vet for over 20 years and they are always compassionate and take time for their patients. While they are very busy, they always make time to get us in for an appointment if it can't wait. Both the staff and the docs are wonderful and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet. In addition, they are fairly priced and while they lay out all of the options for you, there isn't pressure to go with the most extensive or highest cost options.

We took my mom's very timid red heeler in yesterday to get spayed, first they lost our appointment, we had to stand in a very packed waiting room for almost 45 minutes till they figured out what to do with us, then when they took Patches into the back for blood work, I warned the vet that she wouldn't do well without out me and would try to slip her collar, to which she did and came barreling back into the waiting room while the staff chased her and warned people not to touch her she bites, thank god we were in the waiting room still and I was able to catch her. I can't imagine what would have happened had someone opened the front door, we probably would have never seen her again. Then to top things off they sent us home with a cone that was way too big and she can't even walk in it. We will never be back. The worst veterinary experience I have ever had!

I've been bringing my dogs to Brush Run ever since I moved to the South Hills, 18 years ago. I could not have found a better veterinary clinic. The vets are all super friendly, as are the techs and the receptionist. They always ask when I call for an appointment if I have a vet preference. I do not. They've all seen my dogs at one time or another, and I have no complaints on any of them. You can tell these are animal people, and they love what they do. They make what can often be a stressful trip to the vet, something you (while maybe not your pet) look forward to.I thank you all for what you do!

I primarily use Yelp to view other's reviews on places - never to write my own. However, after reading the previous post I felt the need to give a more accurate review of this vet clinic. My family and I have been bringing our dogs here for over 10 years. Throughout these years we have had nothing but an incredible experience. The vets and staff are so knowledgable, compassionate, and willing to spend time with each of their patients. As my one dog neared her final days in life the vets would call daily to check on her status. When it came time for us to bring her in to put her to sleep the vet actually cried with us. We recently got a new puppy who had an ear infection. Again, the staff would call daily to see how she is. The one vet even called on her day off!If you want compassion, knowledge, convenience, and reasonable prices come to Brush Run Vets.

I am the foster coordinator for Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue. In addition to my 7 personal animals, I have taken 20+ foster dogs to Brush Run over the past few years. These fosters have ranged from young and healthy to old and very sick. Many of them were heartworm positive and required treatment. Some dogs were happy-go-lucky, others were terrified and difficult to handle. The vets and tech staff at BR have all done whatever it took to medically treat my foster dogs and get them healthy and ready for adoption. BR is a very rescue friendly practice; compassionate, caring and thoughtful. They do not upsell services, unlike other vets I have used. I wouldn't go to any other vet for either my personal animals or my fosters.

My wife recently took our puppy to Brush Run animal clinic and the Vet there told my wife to feed our puppy Milo "any of the dog foods in the grocery store...the natural foods out there are just a scam" Uhhh really?? Milo just went in for vaccinations and they gave him rabies, dap, and lepto all at once...then sent her on her way. No warnings, No "what to look for"...just collect their $$ and send you on your way. After observing Milo being lethargic and reading about what may becausing the discharge from his eyes (formaldehyde,mercury in the 5-8 vaccines that he received at once), Ive decided to research other Vets in the area and take our puppy elsewhere.

This is the best vet clinic in the area by far. I have used them for both dogs and cats and they are outstanding. I usually request Dr. Rubis as she is probably my favorite but the other vets are terrific as well- very caring and they take their time when they examine your pet. I never feel rushed and they take their time to answer all of my questions. Sometimes when you call, the girls who answer the lines may put you on hold for a while but its worth the wait. Their rates are also very competitive - lower than the competition. I will not use any other vet clinic. This group is the best.
