The secretary is very friendly The doctors are not friendly but rather cold. Basic vet visit is $70 They are detail but not reasonable and seem more money hungry. If money is not an option go here. The Delco spca is much friendlier and more affordable. Read Less

We have all had the heart breaking task of putting a sick animal down. But I must say the experience at the cat hospital of Media was the most caring we have ever experienced. One of the best vets we've ever had. A little pricey but they are, the dr. calls you back to follow-up which is nice. They take great care of our senior cat, aren't pushy or condescending and had room to pull his teeth when he had a painful and abcessed tooth. A follow-up was included to make sure his teeth were healing ok and good thing we did that bc he had food that got impacted in there which they removed. Everyone was very nice & they were very good to my cat .. they didn’t try to kill our pockets with different tests & medications ( though prices were very reasonable ) they were straight forward & honest with what we should do for our cat . I absolutely recommend this hospital for every cat owner. The entire staff is welcoming, professional and kind. Sadly I was there due to a terminal illness my cat had. The doctors actually called me on my cell phone to check in on us once we were discharged and followed up with us through out his last week at home with me. I did have to bring him in to be euthanized and as horrible an experience that it, the entire staff made it so comforting and caring for us. The doctors explained everything to me, let me ask all my questions and were so kind and caring. I have never had a bad experience go so well. I felt they cared for my cat like he was their own. The entire end of life process was done so beautifully and compassionately. They dimmed the lights, let me hold him, wrapped him in his blanket and gave us the room privately to say our goodbyes. When i went to pick up his ashes, there was a commentary hand painted picture in the bag that was absolutely beautiful. They used my cats actual paw prints (dipped in paint) to make flowers. I have been going to this practice for 10 yrs or so and have always felt it was great. Dr Kirnos took over the practice within the last few years and has made it even better. I believe she's a brilliant vet, but just as important, she's a kind and empathetic person. The entire staff comforted me when I had to put my cat down 2 years ago, so it's clear she has made compassion a priority in her hiring. They are also great diagnosticians. And when I was without a job they understood, and never pushed expensive tests or treatments for my sick kitty, but got creative and helped me find less expensive (though likely less optimal) solutions. Bottom line, they are smart, kind, and they truly listen to the client and come up with the best solutions for your cats. Steven, a wonderful vet tech, even made a note in the chart when I was coming in for an appt on my birthday and I was greeted with birthday wishes. I really am delighted with the Cat Hospital of Media. Everyone is so compassionate and efficient when I bring my Kitty in for Check-ups or any kind of emergency. I love The Cat Hospital. I've been going for about six years. My cats are now 7, 12, and 21. One was on insulin injections for diabetes for 2 years--but is now well. They've had routine care, dental work, treatment for kidney issues, pancreatitis, even allergies! Not only has each diagnosis and treatment kept my cats healthy, the attention from the vets and the staff makes me feel like they listen to me, they love cats, and they "get"cats. I've never before had a vet call the day after every visit (even routine checkup) to see how kitty fared. I highly recommend. Read Less

Totally misdiagnosed the obvious, denied it, total bill $900. Had my cat for a full day to observe but apparently didn't observe him. I was out of town and when I got back, it took me less than 10 min to see the problem. Dr. Kirnos refused to acknowledge her mistake or discount any of the bill. Love the fact that it is "cat only" as I have a rescue terrified of dogs. Love the vets and the whole staff. Quick response with test results and questions for doctors. We have found the all of the staff to be very caring and helpful. At our most recent visit, the doctor spent time with us and answered all of our questions. One of our cats was very content on their "window seat" during her entire exam Someone called the next day to check on our cats. We have never had to wait very long, and are almost always seen at our scheduled time without delay. We are always able to get an appointment at a convenient time, usually within a few days of calling, for routine checkups. Fees are reasonable, and we did not feel pressured to perform tests or procedures that we did not want. I recommend the Cat Hospital of Media very highly! Read Less

The Cat Hospital of Media is the only place to take your cat. Dr. Kirnos and her staff are wonderful. Not only the brightest Vet I've been to, but Dr. Kirnos and her staff have a bedside manner can not be rivaled. They provide A++++ care in a calm and cat friendly/pet parent friendly practice. I can not imagine going anywhere else. The prices are extremely friendly on the wallet and I know I'm getting the best care. Great, empathetic staff! Dr. Kirnos is awesome, and a real cat lover! My cats got their teeth cleaned there with some extractions. Dr. Kirnos did a great job. Their gums look so much better now and are the normal pink color. My only complaint is that the waiting area and exam rooms are a bit small. I won't go anywhere else. They took my cat in right away when he was experiencing urinary issues and were kind and caring.
