Traumatized both me and my cat! First place is dirty and smells. The smell hits you as soon as you open the door. There was a puddle animal urine by one of the chairs. My cat had urinated in his crate. 1st time ever. He's 10 yrs old and never did this before. I asked for paper towels to clean him and his crate up. I was told they didn't have any. I asked if there were any in the bathroom. I was told there was no bathroom. I quess that was my cue to run. We were called to go in to the exam room. Its possibly an 8x10 room with a small stainless table and every nook and cranny had things shoved in. She even had a used IV bad just hanging collecting dust. Reminded me of a horders home I once sold. She didn't want the stool sample we brought. She looked at one limb and gave a diagnosis. Never heard of it. Told us the cat was stressed by something. Remove the stress. There is nothing new in the home or his surroundings. She than proceded to tell me that grain free food was the kiss of death. I should be making all his food homemade. Cats should not be strictly indoors. They need outdoor stimulation. I will never bring my animals there again. Plus if your fur baby needs surgery I would ask myself, would I want my operating room and my dr to be this dirty... Read Less

My daughter brought her cat there and was told he needed surgery for cataracts. ... after she went to get a second opinion at a reputable vet she was told the cat is fine. Since the so called Dr. here barely looked at her cat and seemed interested in making money we believe the real Dr. If all these people that swear by this place got a second opinion the review's would be a lot different for this place!!!! Took my two Shelties there last night for the first time. Was a very comfortable atmosphere. Dr. Jamison was very nice, very good with my dogs, & much more reasonable cost wise than my old vet. It was worth the drive. Read Less

We have been taking our cat and dog there for years. This vet is usually knowledgeable, but one of those people that just assumes since they have "seen it all before", that they just know what is troubling your pet...Regardless of running any kind of actual tests. Well she misdiagnosed our cat the first time so we had to rush him back, only to be blamed for things they have no idea of know if we did or not (claiming we just *must* have given him treats). Worse yet, that actual excuse was written into the medical record to "if client gives -cats name- anymore treats, increase bill". $800 later our cat was basically kept in a cage and given a catheter twice. We are taking him to a much more reliable vet now. Read Less

Dr Jamison is superb!! She is very compassionate for animals and knows her job inside and out. She diaganosed my dog with a pinched nerve in his neck within seconds when I thought it was something with is paw cause he was limping. Treated him and a day later was perfectly fine! Amazing. And her prices...you'll never find more reasonable prices at any vet in the area!! Not always easy to get through for appointments but I would definitely recommend Dr Jamison to EVERYONE! Read Less

Dr. Jamison is the best vet. Have taken all my fur babies to her for 5 years. Truly cares about animals. Care for sick animals is exceptional. I found a baby kitten stuck inside a wheel, called her and she told me to bring it over right away. She treated it. It had a rough start but is healthy and playful now. Her prices are reasonable. Dr Jamison does not think like most businesses. She will not do what is in her best interest for her own bottom line. Your pet's health is more important. If she does not trust a product, she will not sell it at her office - no matter how much $$$ she can make from it. Regardless of shifting consumer trends and marketing strategies she stays focused on you pet's best interest. She is kind, compassionate and hard working and will work with you financially and emotionally. I don't think of her office as a business but as a health advocate for my pets.Read Less

I have been using Kathy Jamison for years now. I like her one on one approach. She is hands on, no vet tech then vet then the waiting Yes the building is old and the space is quite small, she has minimal staff, no answering service and it smells like incense because it's a Vet's office not a doctors office. It's because of these things that  she is able to keep her prices low and that makes her affordable for people like me on a low budget who have multiple pets and love them like their children. I wouldn't go to a doctor where I feel like a number and I won't take my babies to a Vet that would either. She knows my animals and she always gives excellent service whether for an emergency or routine care, she always gives straight answers and a no nonsense diagnosis. This vet is the worst, DR Jamison will let your animal die for a couple bucks. It is the dirtiest place I have ever seen. She miss diagnosed our cat and now he is dying. Not only that the time he was misdiagnosed she would not even wait 2 days for a payment of $40 of which we paid the same day because she would not let us leave until we paid. Now we try to take our cat back, and she is refusing to look at him again because in her words "No services offered or available due to non-payment". Dr. Jamison is a animal person. She is very realistic and down to earth, and always tells you upfront what is happening. Once time in the middle of the night our young puppies started to walk around funny and acting out of it. We took her to a 24 hour vet. They wanted to run blood work, Cat scans, MRI, urine work, just everything under the sun. By the time the vet saw us we decide we would wait 2 hours for Dr. Jamison to open instead of dishing out thousands *yes that is correct we where looking at four digits*. We took her to Dr. Jamison in the morning. She took one look at the puppy and instantly saw she had a concision. She kept her over night for observation and the entire trip cost us less than 200 dollars. I also rescue kittens and she knows this. They often set me up with medicine at low cost to me. One time we had a kitten that was passing on. I took it to the vet to see if there was anything they could do for me and took her over night. Sadly the kitten didn't make it. They where kind enough not to charge me a thing. This is just two of the AMAZING encounter we've had with her. Because of Dr Jamison, I can afford medical care for my multiple cats. She is very reasonable, kind and considerate of your pet. I once brought in my male for an overnight stay and neutering scheduled the next day. My cat is extremely claustrophobic in a carrier. (He'll just keep spinning in tumblesault circles and yowling. You'd think he was going to the electric chair.) Instead of making him suffer through the night in a cage, she stayed after hours and did his surgery.That's dedication. Read Less
