Very sorry to have to give a bad review I am usually fair, but the staff here has pushed my patience to the limit. Especially Brian. We have been trying to obtain heartworm prescription to be phoned to outside vendor for a week now. Have been told numerous times it was faxed. Both dogs 3 and 5 years of age have been on heartworm all of their lives were scheduled to be tested Tuesday. The pharmacist from the outside vendor called this am to tell me that Brian had declined request for script after he told my husband it was faxed. I WILL BE SWITCHING VETS AND HAVE ALREADY MADE AN APPOINTMENT. PLEASE DO NOT LIE TO ME ABOUT MY DOGS HEALTH.I TAKE IT VERY SERIOUSLY. Being untruthful to a client is not ethical Read Less

Received a call from vet office about my son's dog, Lady. The sec on the other end was upset because my son called in for his dog about meds that they wanted to discontinue her on. Number one the dog belongs to my son and he knows what is going on, number two I did not need to be yelled at!!! The sec made me upset the way she was talking to me. I asked if the doctor had a alternative supplement that my son could use for the dog and she started repeating about the meds, which was not what I was asking about; and she also had no clue what to tell me about any alternative solutions to the problem. In fact the sec said the meds were for the growth on Lady's head, when actually it was for what was going on with Lady's front leg--very misinformed--makes me scared about taking my other two dogs and two cats there now!!! The vet did not give alternatives that could be done. I told them to call back if they could ever figure out what was going on. Most important they have my son's cell number they could have called him and left a message!!! He has given them his number over and over again. Recently took all three of my dogs to Dr Kontir. Very nice experience.  The office staff is very friendly and thorough. The doctor was as well. He spent a very long time with us, going over each dogs history, then a very thorough exam. I went in for potential dental cleanings for 2 of my dogs but he said only 1 really needed it. I appreciated his honesty.  Our total bill was surprisingly low; he does not charge a full office visit for multiple dogs. Also he does not push vaccinations. Only gave them what was absolutely necessary. We drove nearly half an hour to this vet but it was totally worth it. Will and have highly recommend him. Have already made a follow up dental appointment for 1 of my dogs. Read Less

Have spent Thoundas on her and another dog , picking a new vet might be the most important decision I make ! I currently use Norwin Vetranarian for my older dog and it's now a very distance from my new home. I want the best around for all my animals. I have used this vet for several years and despite their being on the pricey side, I've been relatively happy. The last 2 times oeuvre been there, I've encountered this vet tech with the hugest condescending attitude that I've ever come across. She was a downright bitch. Seriously, if your job makes you that miserable, please leave. This past time, I came in with 2 of my dogs that came in after consuming a slow acting rat poison. This vet tech came up and refused my dogs right off the bat, saying they would need to go to an emergency hospital that requires a clean credit card (cha-ching)to walk in the door, and they would need this test and that test and IV fluids and 24 hr supportive care, when they weren't showing symptoms yet and just needed a vitamin K antidote. I left, and when I got in my car, I checked my phone and I had a text response from Dr. Laurie who I've used as a large animal vet on my farm and she told me to bring them right over, that she bought Grace Veterinary in My. Pleasant and that she would take care of them. How's that for service? And she did take care of them Ann's they are doing awesomely. Mt. Pleasant Animal hospital... If you couldn't take care of my dogs and refused them treatment, what good are you to the veterinary community, and what ARE you equipped for?? Vaccinations and heartworm meds???? Read Less

This place was great. they worked our 3 dogs in the day we called b/c we were dispatched to California by my husband's work and had to have up to date shot records. The staff was very friendly. The receptionist stayed on the phone with me b/c i got terminally lost. She didn't hang up until i arrived at the door. We were staying in New Stanton and the vet there doesn't see anyone but past clients and they are not too friendly about it. The woman vet we saw was absolutely wonderful and did a thorough exam on all dogs. They helped me to usher them in as i was alone and my dogs can be unfriendly to other animals. This office deserves 10 stars and a huge raise. Read Less
