The parking isnt the greatest but thats the only downside i can say about them. I tell everyone about them when they get new pets. We take both of our dogs to St. Francis. The staff is wonderful and they truly listen to your concerns and questions. I love it here. It was hard to find an animal hospital for a Potbellied Pig. But the staff was great with Princess Daisy, she loved the attention. Yesterday was my first time at this vet. I called around a few places and either couldn't get in or got no answer. I was nervous and already on edge because my dog wouldn't even eat. My poor pup cut his nail and it was hanging off.i was uncertain what to do so I started calling around to see what to do. no where would help me. A friend recommended st Francis so I called.they let me come in even though they were booked and closed in 20 minutes. I can't thank them enough. My cat Cleo had to be put to sleep and they fit me in to their schedule even though l was not a client and were compassionate, caring understanding, and so very kind. At a time of need they stepped up when other vets wouldn't even answer their phone..........they hugged me and tried Cleo so very gently, he was 19 and had started to fail rapidly......I held him through the whole thing and the vet and tech were so very gentle........a hard thing to do but they made it a lil easier with their kindness and mercy. Dr. Steve Findlay was a Miracle Worker last night for my baby girl Jessilynn.. She had a horrible Upper Respiratory Infection and was getting worse as the last few days went on. She was first on Amoxicillin 50 mg tabs 3x a day and then on Clavamox 125 mg of 1/2 tab 2x a day and then she was given Rilexine 300 mg tabs of 1/2 tab every 12 hrs; while all along being on a Cough RX called Cough Tabs. Well last night-within a few hours after having given her the first dose of Rilexine, the congestion was starting to slow down along with the coughing; I jumped for joy and *Danced with my Dog* by 12 midnight. She is doing even better so today and I think Dr. Steve Findlay found a RX that will help her get rid of that demon URI. I will forever be so grateful; for had I lost her due to the URI turning into Pneumonia and eventually killing her, I'd have been lost without her. Jessilynn is a special shih tzu dog and quite talented; she does tricks for me, loves to walk for 45 min to an hour daily and sings aka howls for about 1.5 minutes at a time when I call out her name. Love this little dog of mine to pieces; THANK YOU ST. FRANCIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL. You deserve more than the shrimp, rice and cole slaw lunch I brought you today! You are a MIRACLE WORKER to me! Our guinea pig had a heat stroke and they helped immediately over the phone and the next day when we took her in. The doctor even had me call him for the next three days to give him an update on her. Recently my husband, daughter and myself lost our cat Pookie he had been sick for awhile and the staff at Saint Francis Animal Hospital was very helpful with his care. Fantastic staff from start to finish. I was looking for a vet when my kitten got sick. They got me an appointment within 2 hours of my call. They were VERY nice to my pet (and me). They were thorough and polite; not to mention, my bill was very affordable. Any research I did had me believe I would be paying a few hundred dollars for the care I needed. I ended up needing twice the care I thought I would (x-rays, medicine, shots, etc), but owed half the price I originally expected. This is absolutely my go-to vet now. Fantastic experience. I have been taking my dog there since we got him, about 9 yrs ago.  I have to admit that compared to other vets I've used, they seem reasonably priced.  My recent experience with them has made me wonder if they just are concerned with routine procedures, if you have any real medical concern i would not recommend.  They couldn't figure out what was ailing my dog, so gave a med.  When that didn't help, they then gave me a super worm pill- and only THEN asked if i could bring a stool sample for worm evaluation?  Shouldn't that have been done FIRST?  Also, this single pill was over $10... I just took my kittens to Shrader VH and I couldn't be happier. Even the flower boxes in the front were well tended and healthy- a good sign.The clinic is very clean,with not a whiff of animal odor- the staff so gentle and tender hearted- REAL animal lovers-and the price was shockingly inexpensive- less than HALF of what I expected. Dr.Shelton has kindness written all over her face, and was very competent. Vets can be very expensive- but when it comes to our beloved pets- we're willing to pay. But this clinic offered stellar care and environment- at very reasonable rates. I will definitely take my kitties there again, as well as recommend Shrader to  friends and family. Read Less
