Not sure I understand all the negative reviews. I've been bringing my pets to Narberth Animal Hospital for going on 10 years now. Never an issue. Dr Stetz is fine. She (and her staff) have always been caring to my 3 cats & a dog. They are in an older building, so the building look a little worn, but that's typical of the area. 4 start instead of 5 only for the facilities

Dr Stetz basically let my cat suffer in pain because I wouldn't bring her in for the ridiculous 12 month exam that I wasted my money on MANY times before. I was a good customer at Narberth Animal Hospital for 6 years. I always did the exams, and everything else Dr Stetz's office asked me do, honestly it feel like a scam at times. I called Narberth Animal Hospital (Dr Stetz) today for a renewal for the Rx food because my PetSmart Banfield card has expired. My cat has been taking this Rx food for 3 years and if she doesn't get the medicine in this food then she can't urinate and cries all day in pain, it breaks my heart. According to all the tests Dr Stetz did 3 years ago, its anxiety related and my cat may need this special food for the rest of her life. I practically begged Dr Stetz to renew the Rx today but she refused. The food costs $45 for a medium size bag and I just can't afford to also bring my cat in every 12 months too...so I bring them (I have 2 cats) in about every 18 months reduce the costs while still being a good pet owner. Dr Stetz just kept saying, "YOUR doctor wouldn't give YOU an Rx if you didn't come in every 12 months"...well Dr Stetz, there's one big difference, since my cat is otherwise in great shape, there's nothing that you would find in a simple routine exam, ie: a heart murmer, that would make you STOP prescribing this Rx food, so I can't understand why you won't renew an Rx for food that she really needs. I'm sorry but I dont believe that the state would take your license away over my specific case...I don't believe that for one single minute. I will never go back to Narberth Animal Hospital again.

SIMPLY THE BEST!!! Expert care provided in a family friendly atmosphere, and personalized follow-up which is rarely seen in these modern times. We originally visited because Narberth Animal Hospital because it is one of the only vet offices in our area for exotic pets, but we transferred care for all of our four-legged family members because of the awesome team :-).

I am shocked that this place is still in business. Dr Stetz is the most uncaring and incompetent vet I've ever encountered. My dog was blinded when I left him to be boarded over Xmas one year . During my visit to the area two. Weeks ago I wanted to cry when I saw she was still in business. The dog was supposedly checked each day and an employee gave me her records behind dr stetz's back. The dripping eye could not have been overlooked if checked each day. Dr Stetz denied it was visible, never bothered to treat it, and then threw drops at me for his eye. Never suggesting I take my beloved 17 yr old pet to an opthomologist, I was treated as a nuisance . She refused to talk to me . Suing a veterinarian is an expensive and usually a futile act according to my lawyer. After taking this pet to an ophthalmologist from Penn, he said the vision could have been saved with proper treatment and referral but dr Stetz did none of these things. If everything is going fine- great, but when there's a problem , don't expect help or ownership. Just go someplace else.

3 ferrets have received consistently fantastic health care ranging from routine check-up and vaccinations to insulinoma and injury. Staff are all friendly and helpful. To my knowledge they treat a variety of exotics as well as cats and dogs but definitely call for more information.

Prompt, quick service that makes my pets feel at home even at the vet! My pup is always so excited when we walk in that door to hear the animal sounds and smell the animal smells, and doesn't even notice (let alone MIND) getting her shots and checkups. Staff is friendly and caring to people and animals alike, and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Dr. Stetz is very nice, but not very helpful in treating your pets. Was told to not bother with allergy testing despite my dog constantly wheezing and sneezing... Went to a new vet, got allergy testing, and are currently being treated for all of the allergens. They also don't do flu shots here... Something I don't quite understand. Also took my snake here when he had trouble shedding his eye caps and nose - doctor basically told me to let nature run its course and slapped me with a $70 bill for nothing. Two days later my snake was having trouble breathing so I took him to my new vet (even though they are not an exotics vet) and they were able to clear his nasal passages so that he could breathe and he is doing much much better. Like I said, nice enough, but if you want real answers and results, probably not the place for you

I called on Tuesday for an emergency avian appointment and were told by the person who answered the phone that the vet should speak to us before scheduling an appointment. They said that the vet was in surgery but would call back in "about an hour and definitely by 1pm. It is now Friday and they still haven;t called. Call Radnor instead if you are looking for prompt service and quality animal care.

We adopted an older cat and didn't have any reason to bring to a vet until recently. We live nearby to the vet and liked theirhours so brought our kitty in. The front desk attendants were friendly and did their job but I wasn't impressed by their professionalism or knowledge. Dr Stetz was kind and gentle so nothing against her. We weren't given much information about aftercare and ended up Googling a lot. For the next illness we took our cat elsewhere and were blown away by how clean, open, friendly, professional and informative our new vet was. Our new vet also pointed out a health issue that Dr Stetz hadn't mentioned, which only cemented our decision to switch.TL;DR: Narberth Vet is okay and does a good job but other places are probably better and would do a great job.

This place is UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional, lazy, and devoid of any care for the animals or humans that have somehow sustained this business over the years. Long story short, this venue offered a rather inexpensive echo for my cat, so (after hounding them over several days to please get back to me with an appointment time for this procedure,) they finally called me back to schedule an appointment for today. They even called me back to request more information after setting a time, so it's not like they didn't have my contact info. (This will become relevant in a moment.)I put my poor cat in a carrier and drove half an hour to this place, only to find A FREAKING NOTE ON THE DOOR (addressed "To the echo patient," since apparently they couldn't be arsed to look up my name in their appointment book,) saying "I guess we'll have to reschedule... since office is closed today." Nope, no voicemails, no phone calls, no nothing. I guess you get what you pay for; this place is staffed with unprofessional losers who can't even be bothered to master the basics of setting appointments or valuing the time of the people and animals who come to see them. So, I had to drive a sick and scared kitty around in his carrier for an hour in travel time total for absolutely nothing. Avoid this place like the plague, unless you enjoy running a fool's errand! TOTALLY not worth it!

Dr. Stetz is very nice, but not very helpful in treating your pets. Was told to not bother with allergy testing despite my dog constantly wheezing and sneezing... Went to a new vet, got allergy testing, and are currently being treated for all of the allergens. They also don't do flu shots here... Something I don't quite understand. Also took my snake here when he had trouble shedding his eye caps and nose - doctor basically told me to let nature run its course and slapped me with a $70 bill for nothing. Two days later my snake was having trouble breathing so I took him to my new vet (even though they are not an exotics vet) and they were able to clear his nasal passages so that he could breathe and he is doing much much better. Like I said, nice enough, but if you want real answers and results, probably not the place for you

I would give them a zero if possible. I called on Tuesday for an emergency avian appointment and were told by the person who answered the phone that the vet should speak to us before scheduling an appointment. They said that the vet was in surgery but would call back in "about an hour and definitely by 1pm. It is now Friday and they still haven;t called. Call Radnor instead if you are looking for prompt service and quality animal care.

Excellent service and very friendly vet! She knew exactly what was wrong with my husky mix right away and with the antibiotics she gave me he was better in no time. Highly recommended

We adopted an older cat and didn't have any reason to bring to a vet until recently. We live nearby to the vet and liked theirhours so brought our kitty in. The front desk attendants were friendly and did their job but I wasn't impressed by their professionalism or knowledge. Dr Stetz was kind and gentle so nothing against her. We weren't given much information about aftercare and ended up Googling a lot. For the next illness we took our cat elsewhere and were blown away by how clean, open, friendly, professional and informative our new vet was. Our new vet also pointed out a health issue that Dr Stetz hadn't mentioned, which only cemented our decision to switch.TL;DR: Narberth Vet is okay and does a good job but other places are probably better and would do a great job.

This place is UNBELIEVABLY unprofessional, lazy, and devoid of any care for the animals or humans that have somehow sustained this business over the years. Long story short, this venue offered a rather inexpensive echo for my cat, so (after hounding them over several days to please get back to me with an appointment time for this procedure,) they finally called me back to schedule an appointment for today. They even called me back to request more information after setting a time, so it's not like they didn't have my contact info. (This will become relevant in a moment.)I put my poor cat in a carrier and drove half an hour to this place, only to find A FREAKING NOTE ON THE DOOR (addressed "To the echo patient," since apparently they couldn't be arsed to look up my name in their appointment book,) saying "I guess we'll have to reschedule... since office is closed today." Nope, no voicemails, no phone calls, no nothing. I guess you get what you pay for; this place is staffed with unprofessional losers who can't even be bothered to master the basics of setting appointments or valuing the time of the people and animals who come to see them. So, I had to drive a sick and scared kitty around in his carrier for an hour in travel time total for absolutely nothing. Avoid this place like the plague, unless you enjoy running a fool's errand! TOTALLY not worth it!
