Yeah, had a large abscess develop on my dog overnight making it difficult for her to walk. I attempted to call them every five minutes for an hour, every time I received a busy signal. I find it difficult to have confidence in a place that doesn’t have call waiting, voicemail, or even a website. First impressions are lasting impressions. My family has been going to see Dr. Revelt since before she got her own practice. She was so caring and willing to work with us as we lost our childhood dog then when she shortly after this practice of her own my family followed her and she has treated all our furry family since. They are a wonderful place. When my precious dog of 15 years was having some serious emergent health issues I was able to bring her in and she was treated immediately. Unfortunately she was needed to be put down and due to all the stress and the unfortunate outcome of that visit they charge me nothing for the treatment and the euthanasia. I have been taking my pets here for years. Both Dr. Revelt and Dr. Swords are good at what they do and kind to pets. Everyone who works here has always been nice to work with. Even though they are busy, when your pet is sick, they try to get you in as quickly as possible. They aren't cheap, but, really, who wants bargain-basement health care? Read Less

After my regular vet, that I was very happy with retired. I went to another vet in my town, and I was very disappointed with them, substandard care, and outrageous fees. A friend told me about New Stanton Vets. I took my dog to them, and was very impressed. The staff and the Doctors are great, and the fees, fair and reasonable. I am happy to have found this clinic. We have been with Dr. Revelt since 1996, before she even had her own practice. We have followed her everywhere she has been. She is a great diagnostician, extremely caring and I trust her completely with all of our animal family members. She has seen us thru the best & worst times with our pets. This is the best Veterinarian I've ever taken any of my babies to. I've been going here for 10 years and without a doubt they are the most compassionate, understanding and beautiful people I've ever met. When I moved to my current residence, I thought I might change to the Vet who is only 7 minutes away. I have gone there twice, and although they are nice, they don't have the compassion that New Stanton Vet Service does and I will not change. Where I lived previously, there was a vet only 5 minutes away, that I wouldn't refer my worst enemy to. It's a shame that Dr. Revelt's popularity and the caring nature of the entire staff means that they do not take new patients a lot, but to hold this against them in a review on their practice is just insane. As someone else asked, would you want to wait months to get in? I was very lucky to get in with them when I did 10 years ago and I wouldn't trade them for ANYTHING!! We just moved from Florida to Pennsylvania and hadn't found a vet yet. Our elderly dog was ill and needed to be put to sleep. I had read some of the bad reviews, and was very leery about taking him here, I loved my boy so much. I'm glad I didn't listen to the poor reviews , this veterinarian and her staff are WONDERFUL!! They were patient, compassionate and kind.....my baby was well taken care of. The vet even hugged us and said how sorry she was. We have found our forever vet, I can't recommend them highly enough. I will be forever grateful to the Staff at this clinic. I came in off the road with a dog in distress needing assistance and they were ever so kind at giving me a slot on a busy afternoon, even though I am not a client and will probably never be there again.The Tech and receptionist were considerate and helpful and did not hesitate to offer help. The  very competent Vet examined my stressed out dog and prescribed a sedative so he could make the remainder of a long trip without a problem. I was in and out in a very decent amount of time, greatly relieved and with a happier dog.Thank you everyone for being professional, compassionate and friendly. Dr Ravelt is very caring and thorough. Our dog was really sick early spring, something attacked his immune system. DrRavelt ran extensive blood work and put him on 2 different meds, finally at the end of July, he was all better, done with those meds, he was one lucky pup! I can understand the frustration of a vet that is "not taking on new clients" in some of these reviews, however you would not an office who does not know the limit of their ability to serve all their clients WELL. Would you want to wait for 2 months for an appointment that you really need? I loved Dr. Revelt over 10 years ago when she was with Donaldson's Animal Hospital in Jeannette. When she opened her own practice, I was on her waiting list for close to a year to switch from Donaldson's (where I had a very bad , rude experience when I had to put my golden retriever mix down) I have never had any problems with her service or her office. They are wonderful with all my animals and I can get seen promptly when I have a non-routine problem. I would highly recommend this vet, you just may need to be patient. Read Less

I've been a client at New Stanton Vet for over 6 years (since 2006), and when it comes to vets, Dr. Revelt is one of the best. New Stanton is not close to me, and our dogs and cats see the vet who is 5 miles away from us, but I have taken my dogs and cats to Dr. Revelt before with no problems (other than the distance). I primarily use Dr. Revelt as my avian vet, and in my opinion, she is without parallel. I have seen many vets over the years, but I stick with New Stanton because as a client, I am treated with respect (even though some of my birds are poultry), and you can tell that the vet really cares about the animals she sees. Dr. Revelt explains the possible diagnoses and their likelihood of being the problem, the diagnostic and treatment options open to us, and their estimated cost, so I can make an informed decision about my pet's care. She has an excellent bedside manner, and you can feel free to ask her questions - she will take the time to answer them. The office is clean and organized, the staff is friendly. Cytology and bacterial cultures are done on site, usually while you wait. I have recommended New Stanton Vet to many people and will continue to do so. The ONLY complaint I have is that there is usually a wait, but since Dr. Revelt is worth it, I left it at 5 stars. Read Less
