Having just most recently to Philadelphia, our two cats were yet without a vet. A few weeks ago, we noticed a small mass near our female cat's breast. Being a Siamese who had been neutered after two heat cycles, she was at high risk for feline breast cancer, so we were very nervous. Caring for Cats booked us immediately for the next day. The clinic has free parking, which was great, and the staff was very friendly. Our cat was so scared on the way over (as cats tend to be) that she pooped in her carrier. The staff at Caring for Cats didn't even hesistate to help clean her and the mess up, and never lost the friendly attitude in the meantime. The clinic itself is large, clean, and cat friendly. Unlike other vets where large dogs, birds, and other pets can scare a cat even more than the visit itself, Caring for Cats is only about cats, and so the place is not as terrifying to kitties. After a short wait, Dr. Guth took a look at our cat. She was very kind and sweet, and our cat loved her right away. They obviously love cats, and it shows in how they treated ours even amidst the unfun parts of the check up (thermometer in the butt, holding her paws, flipping over, etc.). Dr. Guth took one look at the lump and knew what it was right away--she squeezed it and low and behold, it was just a simple cyst. Not cancer at all! The total cost for this check up and treatment was only $53. We walked away relieved and very happy with the vet and clinic. We will definitely be making Caring for Cats our primary vet while we live here in Philly. Read Less
