Been going there for more than a year now since we got our pup.Recently went to have him neutered.The staff( Keith,RoseMarie and Erin) answered all the questions I had even when I called back multiple times on separate days about care and symptoms. Dr. Anmuth spoke to me directly before the procedure and explained to me how things would go. I felt more than confident of his capabilities. Apollo is recovering and resting well. I took my dog in for urinary related symptoms. I was assuming Cocoa had a UTI and after a urine study, the Vet confirmed that and put Cocoa on antibiotics. After about a week, Cocoa worsened (more frequent accidents and bloody urine), I called back and was assured this was totally normal. I questioned the Vet because this didn't sound normal to me, but he assured me it was. A few days after the phone call I brought Cocoa back in, the Vet assured me this is totally normal for a UTI and gave me pain meds and extended the antibiotic course. After Cocoa worsened even more so, I decided to go to a pet ER. They immediately did an X-ray (they were shocked my vet didn't do one) and diagnosed Cocoa with a urinary stone that would need to be surgically removed!I was so upset that Cocoa suffered for 2 weeks! and that I was blown off by the vet on my phone call and my second vet appt in the matter of 10 days. Not to mention that I wasted money on each vet visit to then go to the ER and pay premium price! I wouldn't refer a goldfish here. Read Less

I called to speak with them about care for my rabbit and they were insistent that he would need vaccines. There are NO VACCINES FOR RABBITS. This vet claims to be rabbit savvy, any true rabbit savvy vet would know better. Be extremely careful if you choose to bring your rabbit here. Although pet rabbits in the United States do not require any vaccinations, veterinarians in the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe routinelyinoculate for two fatal viruses common to the continent's wild rabbits: Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD). The treatments are expensive and the doctor's themselves seem very cold and detached and borderline rude. One assistant who handles the animals a lot, is blatantly rude and very impatient with children. Read Less

I have visited Simmons twice over a 3 week period for my female veiled chameleon, not only when I asked was it possible she has MBD the doctor said in a very nonchalant tone"maybe, maybe not". After going over several times what I do for my animal, he says somehow it's a lighting problem and goes on and on about it refusing to acknowledge that the light is so close to my animal in the cage that its burned the cage several times. He seemed to stick a random problem because he himself didn't know what was wrong with my animal. Honestly a waste of time and money. Don't go here, seriously. Go to Elkins Park vet services for any exotics. He's trash. Read Less

I always have a positive experience here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is difficult to find a knowledgable vet that works with rabbits. Reasonable prices and communicated prior to treatment. I would recommend this vet for your animal care. Read Less

Terrible. Had an 11:45 appoint. Sat there for over an hour trying to keep my poor dog calm before being called back and then still had to wait an additional 10-15 mins for the vet. Never coming here again. Read Less

My puppy may not have liked it but I did the medication wasn't too much nor harmful for her. It was nice clean and affordable! Everyone were very nice and very helpful! Communication is ATROCIOUS here. Spoke with the PM front desk person who quoted $385 for spay and front declaw. Upon arrival, I was told that her quote was wrong.....by $200 dollars! They tried upcharging me a total of $600 for spay and front declaw. I then get the excuse of "well, they must have quoted you thinking you had a voucher". I asked what a voucher was....and have yet to be told.... Last year, we had a front declaw and neuter done for $350 total. No voucher. No nothing. Magically now it's $250 more that's sprung on you as you enter for the surgery that day. Furthermore, they provide horrible customer service. Front desk attendant in the AM is a slob that doesn't have the decency to pull his pants up to his waist. The male doctor lacks any personality or ability to have a patient/doctor relationship. The female doctor is very nice. That's about the only thing I can say about this place. We'll never return again and would never recommend this place to anyone. Read Less

I wouldn't say I'm in love with them, but they aren't bad. My only complaint is their hours, my dog went in on a saturday for some shots, a few hours after she got deathly sick, i thought i was going to loose her, they must've done something different with the shots, because when i got them done at my last vet this never happened. My dog threw up maybe every fifteen minutes, for over a day. Since they close at 1pm on saturday, and dont open again till monday, i had no idea what to do. I didn't want to take her to University of penn, because they'll cost me a good grand just to walk in the door. So we decided to take them to rebecci. If you want to see my review on them, just look em up. But they fixed her in minutes and i felt a lot better. Once i went back to simmons, i told them about the situation, and how she got deatly sick from the vaccines, and they couldn't care less. (James) the vet tech, is very nice, the male doctor is pretty nice too, but not to talkitive or descriptive. The female doctor, usually there on saturdays was who gave my dog the shots, and we told her and she had no response. I'm looking for a new vet, i dont hate simmons, but they definitely aren't the best. Especially with hours! Read Less
