Do not bring your animal here if you want to receive personalized and correct care! This last past year...it was a 180 with service. They hired a new front desk, Kat, and my appts were constantly getting screwed up (which I was patient with because I understood she was new and there is a learning curve), one of their new doctors missed something which made me request ONLY to be seen by Dr. Gallagher, and ontop of this I was pregnant having to deal with the "extra-ness." I brought my dog in for her annual 1 month and 1 week ago and was told that she needed to wait for her lepto and give it 3-4 weeks, but to bring her back for a nurses visit and I would just be charged for the shot (same thing I had been told in the past). I brought her back today and they called me to check out and they were trying to charge me $90+ they said because it had been over 30 days. Mind you I have come here for YEARS. In the past the nurses had told me that at the very least 21 days needed to be between the vaccinations so they usually recommended 3-4 weeks (I asked this question just last year when the new doctor told me 2 weeks). So they are ultimately giving people a 2-9 day window to get a shot without having to pay for an additional visit (which it's not like the techs are doing anything different between a charged and uncharged visit...she still didn't see a VET). I was transferred to the practice manager and at this point I was quite irritated and just wanted to hear that the charge was removed so I could pay and leave considering when I made the appt 3 days ago, this was not mentioned to me and had it been, I would have simply had my files transferred and gone elsewhere. She felt the need to lament for 2 mins (literally), so I told her she could bring my dog out, and send it to collections because I wasn't paying. She finally said she was waiving the tech fee, but she just wanted me to know for the future. I told her there was no future, and to send my dog out. It took 20 more minutes, and ME TO HAVE TO THREATEN TO CALL THE POLICE if my dog was not brought out to me for her to finally be brought out. Tbh I was contemplating leaving anyway as Dr. Gallagher sold the practice and is no longer going to be seeing patients. With all of the scheduling issues, and lack of being able to get someone on the phone in a timely fashion I am more than happy to let those headaches go. Read Less

I am sorry we missed the wonderful experience of having Dr. Galligher's care for our two cats throughout their lives. But when we came to her it was for very difficult times late in their lives, and she was there for us completely. Her veterinary knowledge is stunning and completely up to date. However, veterinary science can only do so much, and then there is the intangible, the compassion and love, that follows to help one through and after the tough decisions. Dr. Galligher and her staff were there for us the whole way. We are so grateful to them. My advice is to go there while your pets are young and spry, and they'll benefit from the best care throughout their lives. Read Less

I brought my cat here for the first time and it was a great experience. It is the only place I’ve been where the vet was interesting in improving my cat’s health instead of only maintaining. The vet was extremely thorough with my cat’s medical history and answered all of my questions. A couple of days later, the vet called to tell me the results of my cat’s blood test. In addition, the hospital is clean and nice. I will be back for my cat’s future medical needs and definitely recommend. Read Less

My family has been going to this vet for well over 15 years. We have never had any issues with the staff or doctors. Now my boyfriend and I take our dogs there. I really like Dr. Gallagher. Unfortunately our briard passed last November from carcinoma cancer and Dr. Gallagher was extremely helpful in the process of figuring out what was causing his sickness. They even sent a condolence card after Luke had passed. We will continue taking our pets there for the duration of our stay in Phoenixville. Read Less

I can't say enough about this clinic. I will be the first to admit that I am a crazy dog mom- and working in the animal industry I am very picky. I've been to several of the other vets in town and have never been as impressed with any of them the way I was with Phoenixville Animal Hospital- I recommend this clinic to anyone that will listen. I have 3 dogs, one is shy- one is a maniac, and one can be straight up nasty (napoleon syndrome!) and Dr Gallagher has worked so well with each of their very different personalities. My littlest guy is special needs and Dr. G does a great job of not only explaining what she is doing- but also- more importantly-WHY. The clinic itself is CLEAN, and odorless and welcoming. The most impressive thing about Phoenixville Animal Hospital is the follow up and after appointment attention to detail. On several occasions I have had the doctors themselves call me a day or two after our appointment to follow up and make sure my little buddy was doing well. I can't stress enough how great that makes me feel knowing that they truly care about each animal that walks through the door. Read Less

I love Phoenixville Animal Hospital! My cat Jack has always been skiddish and very shy but I assumed it was because I adopted him as an adult and for his whole life he was in foster care with many other cats. It wasn't until I took him to Phoenixville Animal Hospital where I realized he had severe periodontal disease (gum disease) and the best option would be to have his entire mouth extracted. Dr. Galligher was extremely helpful and caring as she laid out my options. Putting all of my trust in her, she referred me to an oral surgeon for cats. As scary as it was, between the medical risk and actual cost of the surgery, I can easily say it was by far the best decision I have made. If it wasn't for Dr. Galligher and her amazing team at Phoenixville Animal Hospital, I don't know how Jack would be today. He is outgoing, playful, loving and has gained three pounds in just under 2 years! I no longer live in the Phoenixville area yet I still travel the 25+ minutes for their care. I recommend anyone to this facility! -Molly Stewart Read Less

Read Less

We started using Phoenixville Animal Hospital in 1999, when it was a completely different group of veterinarians. We received great care for our cats over the years, but the changes in the office have been amazing. The new building is gorgeous, and the care has remained top-notch.

We just had our first visit with Dr. Thompson who saw our 13 1/2 year old Chocolate Lab who has been experiencing some major health problems. We recently moved within the last 2 years to the area and our normal vet having no time available is what led us to seek out another vet. We called in the AM, a doctor called back in the PM and we were in by mid afternoon. We cannot say enough about the kindness, professionalism and the caring, empathetic staff and doctors there. Dr. Galligher, I wanted to simply say thank you for taking the time to listen to me in my time of need! I was getting nowhere with my previous veterinarian. She is now so happy and eating much better. If she could thank you herself, I know she would. We'll look forward to seeing you again! Best of luck with the hospital.
