Top notch veterinary practice! We were one of Dr. Kim Werner’s very first patients when she took over this practice. I can honestly say that I do not trust anyone as I trust Dr. Kim to care for my babies. She is extremely knowledgeable, honest, compassionate, and has an innate ability of knowing just what is wrong even when testing might not provide a definitive answer. Dr. Kim will provide you all of the information you need to know about a specific injury/illness, all of your options for treatment, as well as her recommendation. I always ask her what her gut is telling her and what she would do if it were her pet, and she has never steered me wrong. Dr. Kim and practice manager, Barb, take caring for our pets and client satisfaction that the next level. They have a fabulous staff full of knowledgable and caring people who have all gone out of their way in caring for our pets. I take all of my pets here. Yesterday I took my beloved little kitty Woodstock there because she had been acting odd and we just knew she wasn't right. They had the unfortunate job of telling me that she had jaundice and leukemia. I could feel that they were genuinely sorry for me, my family and my little cat. The doctor did suggest that there could be a plethora of treatments to try to prolong her life, but they let me take her home so that she could pass with us. Not only were they genuinely sad for me, but today the doctor called me herself to see how I was doing. I told her that Woodstock had passed last night and she expressed her sympathy. Not only did she ask about me and my husband, but she also suggested some books to help my 6 year old step-son cope with the loss of our Woodstock. I was so grateful that she cared enough to call me herself, it really did mean a lot. I will continue to take my pets there and will recommend them to anyone that may need a vet! Read Less

This vets office is truly the BEST place I have ever taken my dog. The care that your pet gets from Dr Werner is amazing, like your pet is the only one that matters. She is the most kind, sensitive and gentle doctor. She is extremely thorough and very knowledgeable. Sadly I just had to put my pup down and Dr Werner was not there. Dr Surman attended to us that evening and she was every bit as fabulous as Dr Werner!!! She was such a comfort and a voice of reassurance during such a difficult moment. We absolutely love AC Vet Care and would never take our dearly loved dog anywhere else!! We have been so pleased with the level and quality of care she has received. Dr. Werner has consistently showed so much compassion and sensitivity to our dog over the years that we couldn't imagine ever taking her anywhere else. I've heard great things about all of the Drs there, but we especially love Dr. Werner and always request her. The tech staff are all friendly and kind as well. After reading the reviews but in particular the response to a bad review I will not be taking my pets here. The vet rambles on in response to a bad review that a dog in pain must have experienced it due to his/her diagnosis of a luxating patella - where no pain was experienced prior to the vet visit. Apparently the vet never heard of what happens when you cause a rupture. Instead blames the dog. What other excuses do they make. So, after reading the reviews as well say the vet's response a big NO THANKS to the notion of going to this vet. Compassionate my eye. Read Less

I am so glad I decided to come here! Dr. Werner is wonderful and spent ample time examining my pup, she and her staff are very friendly and honest! They didn't nickel and dime me one bit.I brought my dog here After VCA charged me over $700 for an "infected" paw. Turns out it probably wasn't infected in the first place.Dr Werner actually tried to SAVE me money! I experienced my 1st visit here today and I am impressed to say the least. The techs were very patient and caring, and the Vet was wonderful! Dr T. She was honest, caring, thorough, and listened to everything that I had to say as well as gave advice that made sense . I have taken my pet to quite a few different vet office visits and I will say that this has been by far the best treatment, recommendations, and pleasant experience so far! Have spent hundreds of dollars at this place in the past. Will never go back.During my latest visit, I felt I was being conned into buying expensive upsells.Vet clearly seemed to be using fear, guilt, and intimidation to upsell me on what I believe was a lot of unnecessary nonsense.Made it sound like my young dog was much sicker than the dog really was (and I believe any competent vet could see that the dog was not as sick as was being implied and any honest and competent vet would have told me so.)Am looking for a new vet. Seems like they care more about making money than your actual needs and concerns.  I have taken my 2 small dogs here twice and got less than desireable service alongside an inflated.bill at the end.  They suggest so many meds and add ons that it makes it seem like your perfectly healthy dog won't live to see another day.  The office is mostly clean and well maintained, but they make it really hard to say "no" to the extras they want you to purchase or the tests they want to run on your pet only to find out they are okay.  To me, it seems like a scheme to make more money. Was trying to set up an appointment as a new client for a pet that could be sick but these "compassionate" people won't see new clients on Saturday. Which is the only day I'm available. It would have been so frustrating if the lady on the phone didn't have a huge attitude the entire time and it say and I quote, "Well you'll have to look around elsewhere." No offer of apology for not being able to help, no recommendation of other vets in the area just a great big "Too F-ing bad." Taking my dog to this vet, the vet was doing an examine and for about 3 minutes continued to twist and rotate my dogs right rear leg. After the visit I noticed that he was limping and favoring that leg. I called the vets office about it and they threw some medical term at me saying he is a puppy and it will come and go. That was on 09-22-2015. They also told me it was nothing to worry about. Since that appointment he still favors the right rear leg and it is curved in under his body. I feel the vet manipulated his leg way too long, especially since he was only about 5 and 1/2 months old at the time. I feel the vet caused this problem since he had no signs of it prior to this visit. I was also told by your experienced vet that my miniature poodle would be 25 pounds when grown. I would say your vets need to learn a little more about dogs before they do anything with them. Read Less

I have 3 dogs and all go to Always Compassionate. I find it hard to believe that anyone could give these vets a negative review. Dr. Werner heard my shepherds heart murmur on her first visit and had me go back so Dr. Terlesky could listen too an confirm. If it wasn't for the expertise of these 2 fine vets my shepherd could have died. A referral to PVSEC was made and the dog will be 6 this month. My older dog recently had minor surgery and again, care was top notch. My middle dog has anxiety issues and Dr. Werner knows just how to approach her to try to alleviate her fears. I never hesitate to recommend Always Compassionate to anyone looking for a vet. 3 of my neighbors use them as well and no complaints from them either! Read Less

Taking my 5 1/2 month old Minature Poodle to this location. They injured his right rear leg and then tell me thats just the way it is for this breed. Not a care after that. I don't think they should have the name they do. I can't believe that a professional that is supposed to care about animals can do this damage toa little puppy and then say thats the way it is. I struggled with my Lab's intestinal issues for over a year - he was okay for weeks and then suffer diarrhea for days for no reason as his diet/environmental exposure had not changed. My old ver and I tried, I thought, everything, with disappointing results.A friend recommended ACVC and, within 2 visits, all Buddy's issues were resolved. Dr. Terlesky thoroughly examined him, suggesting a supplement along with adding natural, healthy fiber (pumpkin). She then immediately came up with a plan of action which has work perfectly. I was HIGHLY impressed by both the staff and vet that saw our Spike.  They spent hours calling around to many places for surgery for our dog that was an emergency.
