Something as small as a fecal exam was taken over two weeks about for an 8 week old puppy. It's been over two weeks and no one has called about the results. I decided to call today and found out my sweet puppy has round worms and needs medicine. My puppy has been suffering for over two weeks, the receptionist mentioned she didn't know why no one called me. Now I have to wait for the vet to call me back because no one can discuss the results, all the receptionist said was it's round worms and he needs medicine. I am sick to my stomach and confused how something so small can be overlooked. Had I known the care and health of my puppy would've been neglected, I never would've taken him here. For the amount they charge you think they'd be able to call you letting you know your puppy has worms (over $100 for 1 exam, 1 shot, and 1 fecal exam). We will never bring our puppy here again.

Dr Mullings and her team are amazing! I just recently brought my cat to her clinic for the first time and I was incredibly impressed with her and her staff. They made us feel so welcome and her treatment of my baby was incredible. She definitely has a life long client with us! Thank you Dr Mullings!

I love everything about South Hills Vet! This location is extremely close to my house so it only made sense to bring my new puppy here when I got him. I have been back several times for the rest of his shots and his neuter. The staff is always amazing, caring, and super helpful. Being a new dog mom, I did have a lot of questions and I have called in a few times with some worries. Each time the staff has answered my questions and reassured me everything was okay! Dr.Mullings is so great at what she does and I'm happy my Rex has her as his vet!

Highly recommend Dr. Mullings and her staff! I walked in with our sick cat and toddler as a new patient and they got us in within 30 minutes. Dr. Mullings saw Kira and assessed her illness without ordering unnecessary scans or procedures. She is very knowledgeable and recognized her symptoms right away. She was treated in the office and sent home with medication that is helping our little fur babe to heal. Very reasonable costs as well! I was expecting to walk out with a charge I would have to put on a credit card and was pleasantly surprised!! We will remain a patient of Dr. Mullings and bring our other pets here as well.

Went here for the first time after not having a great experience somewhere else. From the time we walked into the office they made us feel comfortable. Dr. Mullings refused to even do anything until our dog was totally comfortable and we totally respected her way of doing things. It shows that she truly cared for our dog and we can't wait to make this our permanent vet. Kudos to Dr. Mullings and the woman that was at the front desk!

We loved Dr. Mullings' rapport with both us and our puppy when we first met her 2 months ago -- and after today's vaccination follow-up, we absolutely adore her! She truly loves her work and it shows in the way she treats our Goldie.To top it off, the staff is just as caring, kind, and helpful. Before we left today, I made sure I had the number and address of all of her clinics (3) because no other vet is touching my dog.

ive been taking all of my animals to this vet ever since we got them... i had called the other vet in castle shannon, but they were rude to me on the phone, so they lost out on a client. these people are all very nice and love animals. the doctors dont beat around the bush and try to push stuff you dont need. they are straight forward and to the point- they dont waste their time..or yours!

I've been going to the South Hills Animal Hospital for a few years now. They have been straightforward with me and gave my dog (a berner-shepherd mix) proper treatment. In my visits, the front office staff has been very friendly to both me and my dog and the vets were all about the dog. My dog gets a lot of attention when he goes there so he seems to approve of the place too.

Great care, caring support personnel, especially Carolyn, and they do not overcharge like the animal hospital that is very close to them. My cat Boots had a very serious injury and Dr. Sally stitched it up with great care, there is barely a scar. He was licking her and kissing her so he could not have been too traumatized by the process.

I called because I was scared that my cat is really sick from an infection. I just took her today, they were friendly and seems to be better than when I took her in. They were really good with her. My brother-in-law came with me and he's planning on taking his dogs there after seeing how good they are. Plus the prices aren't too high that you can afford to get your animals taken care of.

The older gentlemen referred to is Dr. FisFis, he has been in practice at least 30 years or more at the same address. Dr FisFis took care of our family collie from the late 60's until the dog had to be put down in the late 70's. In the early 90's my husband and I got a puppy and started taking him to castle shannon vets as years past and several quarterly trips to castle shannon vets they could not diagnose the dog had lupus by the time we found a vet that knew what they were talking about the dog had to be put down. I have now rescued a 9 year old border collie with some problems, I first went to Pleasent Hills Vets and I felt pressured to but what ever they were pushing at the time I have since returned to Dr. FisFis and I am satisfied with the care received. Throughout the years, we've taken our family dogs to quite a few different veterinarians in the city. We like this practice the best, both for their effectiveness and their ""bedside manner."" I also have a kitten who just developed FLUTD, and since they've handled all his kitten checkups very well, I'm scheduling an appointment with them tomorrow. My mother said the vets at this practice told her they also volunteer their time at the Penn Animal Hospital. (I can't personally confirm this, but I'll ask at my next appointment!) They also treat small animals! PS - PghPA's review mentioned an older male vet. I don't recognize ever seeing that doctor. As for the rest of the review's concerns, they just don't fit with my experiences there. Perhaps the staff has changed since that time, or there are more staff at the practice than I know about.

I'm new to the area. I took my dog there for routine vaccinations and had an uneasy feeling about the place. 1. The desk staff was not friendly. 2. The vet was old and feeble. He did not introduce himself or try to make any connection with my dog. 3. While I was waiting to pay, a man came in with his dog and said that the dog was still ""bleeding"" and the problem was not resolved at his last visit. He had some dispute over the care given to his dog. I will not be going back there. The entire place gave me an uneasy feeling.

Something as small as a fecal exam was taken over two weeks about for an 8 week old puppy. It's been over two weeks and no one has called about the results. I decided to call today and found out my sweet puppy has round worms and needs medicine. My puppy has been suffering for over two weeks, the receptionist mentioned she didn't know why no one called me. I love everything about South Hills Vet! This location is extremely close to my house so it only made sense to bring my new puppy here when I got him. I have been back several times for the rest of his shots and his neuter. The staff is always amazing, caring, and super helpful. Highly recommend Dr. Mullings and her staff! I walked in with our sick cat and toddler as a new patient and they got us in within 30 minutes. Dr. Mullings saw Kira and assessed her illness without ordering unnecessary scans or procedures. She is very knowledgeable and recognized her symptoms right away. She was treated in the office and sent home with medication that is helping our little fur babe to heal. Very reasonable costs as well! Went here for the first time after not having a great experience somewhere else. From the time we walked into the office they made us feel comfortable. Dr. Mullings refused to even do anything until our dog was totally comfortable and we totally respected her way of doing things. It shows that she truly cared for our dog and we can't wait to make this our permanent vet. Kudos to Dr. Mullings and the woman that was at the front desk!

Great care, caring support personnel, especially Carolyn, and they do not overcharge like the animal hospital that is very close to them. My cat Boots had a very serious injury and Dr. Sally stitched it up with great care, there is barely a scar. He was licking her and kissing her so he could not have been too traumatized by the process.

Throughout the years, we've taken our family dogs to quite a few different veterinarians in the city. We like this practice the best, both for their effectiveness and their ""bedside manner.""
