I've used this veterinary office since 2010 and always had a nice experience. Today our tech was Tracy. She was very kind and attentive, handling my cats with care and understanding. Our doctor was Dr. Marchetti. He was also very gentle with them. They were both nervous as expected but stayed calm. Dr. Marchetti spoke in a calm voice and was very knowledgeable. My older cat has a loose tooth and two small painless lumps on his tail. I appreciated that the doctor was not pushing me into getting a surgery scheduled to remove the tooth and two lumps-it is something he'd rather monitor and discuss in six months. All three techs in the front office were nice and kept to themselves. The front office was clean (little bit of fur here and there), and not cluttered. I moved from Philadelphia and I had to find a new vet for all of my 4 legged family members. I googled vets near me and this popped up! Let me just say the staff is amazing! I walked in clueless since it was my first time in and the front desk staff were all welcoming! The waiting area is HUGE! It also was clean and smelled good! The Vet and the Vet Techs were super friendly! My one dog (cane corso) is a BIG baby (he growls when someone gets close) but they didn’t mind that and they were super patient with him. I had a lot of questions and they answered ALL of them! This will be my vet from here on out! My dog and I have NEVER been treated so awful at a vet before.  The staff and doctor were extremely rude and unprofessional.  They shoved a muzzle on my dog, and they called him a "bad dog" for growling.  They were extremely rude to him after this event.  They didn't give treats or talk to him or try to calm him down.  They also treated me like a horrible dog owner and criticized his behavior.  Lack of compassion and love of animals made me wonder why these people are even in this profession.  My dog was treated like an object, not a living animal.  It was honestly traumatizing to us both.  Anyone who knows animal behavior is aware that being muzzled and having a light shined in your eye and being inspected while being in awful pain is TERRIFYING for a dog.  I have never been so upset or angry in my life.  My dog is my child, and I want nothing but the best for him.  Needless to say, I will never go back, and I am extremely happy with my new vet where he is treated like the great, loving dog that he is. My dog had a pinched nerve in her neck last night and was seen almost immediately after I called. My mom had to take her in for me but she said everyone was beyond nice. My parents have used this vet for 3 dogs and a parrot and everyone has always been knowledgeable and friendly. They've done multiple surgeries between the dogs and the parrot isn't the nicest to other people but they don't get frustrated. Amazing place. Trustworthy with your furry and feathered pets. Unfortunately, I forgot in that hour, for reasons unimportant, but CAH quickly, again, turned around and gave me another appointment at another convenient time. We had to let our little buddy go after 13 awesome years, yesterday. The staff was fantastic, I forgot to get the techs name, but she and Dr Gardner made the difficult day easier to handle. I'm sorry to write this review because I always receive great service from the doctors and the front desk staff. I have not however received good customer service from your groomer, Carol. She is extremely ignorant and unprofessional. I have dealt with her attitude on 3 occasions while getting my dog groomed and have decided not to use her services again and I may not return even to use the hospital. She has made negative comments about Kate and the front desk staff multiple times.  I will be taking my grooming business definitely elsewhere and possibly finding a new vet all together. From the moment we walked in the door we (humans and dog) were greeted happily and helped promptly. This is possibly the best vet experience I have ever had, and I have spent a lot of time in veterinary offices over the years. My dog tore her toenail while she was playing and it was hanging off and bleeding. I am not from here so I went to the closest vet--Stowe Animal Clinic. Yikes! Really dicey looking place with a vet who barely spoke English that wanted me to go get cash from the 7-11 down the street to pay him, so I hightailed it out of there. Went back online and I found Coventry. They took me right away and I was in and out of there in 20 minutes. They were not only quick, extremely friendly, and attentive, but my Dachshund, who is typically terrified at the vet, came out completely calm and happy. I don't know what they did, but for 9 years vet visits have meant shivering and crying and one time she even pooped herself. When we walked in the shivering and crying ensued, but they took her back, bandaged her up in a special Halloween bandage, and when they brought her back in she was as calm as I have ever seen her. I only have wonderful things to say about Coventry Animal Hospital. We've been taking our animals here for 10+ years and the staff has always been very friendly and professional. All of my animals have always received the best care and I cannot say enough nice things about Dr. Gardner. My dog is terrified of places where she will potentially have to stay without me (groomer/kennel) but my dog always calms down upon Dr. Gardner entering the room and it's because of the vibe that she gives off. I had switched to this veterinary office from another in limerick (more so due to rude , unhelpful staff-not Dr's. And billing practices ) and have been incredibly impressed. The personal care , concern and knowledge of this team has won me over. We recently adopted a rescue hound dog, Petey and took him to Conventry Animal Hospital. The staff is great - patient, kind, and has a great sense of humor with the howling hound dog. They all came out to meet him on his first visit and now when we come in he his greeted with the same enthusiasm and kindness. The staff is very knowledgeable, prices are reasonable, and they take the time to answer all of our questions. I had such high hopes for this place because when my husband took our older dog there, he had a great visit! I guess he got a different vet than we did. He said he had the guy doctor and we had the girl when I went. Anyway, I took our almost two year old 80lb pit mix. in for his yearly shots. He has never EVER had a bad reaction at the vet, and I really didn't see this coming. Looking back, it could have been prevented. They did all the hard stuff first (needles and blood work) and left the room for a good ten minutes turning my dog into a scared, anxiety ridden mess. When they came back, they expected him to trust them and let them examine him, which didn't happen. He didn't trust them anymore. Would you? Anyway, he was stressed out and in an effort to get them away from him (and me, we were on the floor in the corner of a small exam room) he went after them, at which point I had to muzzle my animal (who, by the way, I've never even seen growl at a human before) and was told not to let my dog around kids/people anymore and to muzzle him when we go out because of what he is now capable of. Seriously? I found the entire visit extremely unprofessional. The vet tech wouldn't even come back into the room because she was scared of my dog and he is now labeled at this hospital. If he wanted to hurt them, he would have. I found the whole experience extremely upsetting and will be taking my pets elsewhere from now on.Read Less

Terrible! We brought our cat there, only because they were the closest and she was straining to breathe. She was scared out of her wits and the vet tech had ZERO compassion. She was very loud and not at all gentle. They took her away to take an x-ray and after 10-15 minutes of having her alone in the cold, loud room, they finally came back to say that the x-ray machine was broken but that she was dying. We immediately took her to another hospital. They swooped her up, speaking softly to her and to us, got her on oxygen, etc. While the final result was heartbreaking and she didn't make it through the night, I am still so happy that she wasn't at Coventry, stressed and scared as she passed on.
