I have used French Creek Vet for 11 plus years. My 3 Belgian Tervurens have always had excellent care. 2 are Hypo Thyroid and on lifetime meds, Two suffer from Seizures occasionally. One just recovered from Bone Cancer. (Metropolitan Vet Hospital did the surgery). The youngest has found countless ways of injuring himself. Thank goodness for Nationwide Insurance too. Part of Pet ownership is to be your animals advocate. Your Vet needs accurate information from you to help in diagnosing your pet. Follow thru is often difficult with these adorable but often uncompliant squirmy beasts. Keeping up with yearly visits, shots and preventative will save you money in the long run. It is a very hard job mostly done by caring professionals. Love your pets. They are never with us long enough.

The only reason I gave them a 2 is because of past experience. The last visit I give them a zero. I have been going there for almost 30 years and other than being expensive no problems. This last encounter I took my Bloodhound Carley, 9 1/2 years old and very healthy in to have a lump removed. A blood test was performed to make sure no underlying problems. She was given the OK and we proceeded with the removal and was shocked at the size of the incision. It was close to 12" in length. This happened on Thursday by Saturday she would not eat and was suffering from shortness of breath.Back to the vet on Wednesday and they filled her with fluid, still not eating and barely able to stand. Called the vet Friday and he assured me he would call and check on her on Saturday. No call back. She suffered from the day I picked her up and was unable to breath. I called Monday and got an appointment for Tuesday morning for x-rays, she died on the way to the vet and blood came out of her mouth as I believe she drowned in her own blood.I haven't even brought myself to go back for her remains and will never use them again and will have a friend or neighbor retrieve her for me.

I've had 3 dogs over the past 20 years and we've used French Creek for all 3. Very caring about their clients and pet parents. They have a quiet kitty corner and special cat only appointment days for their feline patients. Depending on the service, they offer a senior discount. There have been times where the dog has gotten sick and they've been able to fit us in within the day of or the next day for an appointment. In fact, when possible they even encourage us to bring her in ASAP for the best care. She can get antsy in the exam room but they are extremely patient and never push her to do anything she doesn't want without trying another way.
Our current dog has been coming to the Friendly Paws Daycare once a week for 4 years now, and she absolutely loves it. She comes home tired but happy from her multiple play sessions with staff members and her dog friends. They assign each camper to a play group based on personality compatibility types. They feed her lunch and treats that we pack at home and she's allowed to bring her favorite toy and blankets. While she's there, they get a "nap/rest" time to decompress and relax. Each day, they send her home with a "report card" detailing any potential health issues, behavior, and activities for the day. They even occasionally post photos on their Facebook account of the campers.
Until just recently, they had only been able to board dogs with special needs but now they are licensed to board regardless of needs. Definitely make sure to call well in advance to reserve a spot at the inn if you're planning a vacation.
One or two times, there have been campers diagnosed with kennel cough. The staff have been very transparent with pet parents in reporting incidents and temporarily closing the daycare to sanitize the facility (even if it means losing a few days of business). They also make sure campers are up-to-date with their vaccinations before they can come.

I have been a client for many years, my recent experience was very disturbing went two days in a row because my 10 year old airedale was not eating, I got no help in what to do to get him to eat and spent quite alot of money for nothing only to have them wanting me to spend more money on more testing. I brought him home thinking he was going to die. Thank goodness I was able to nurse him back to eating again. Thank you for nothing, I will NEVER go back.

My Fiance and I are so glad we found this vet! Our dog Jake swallowed a large amount of chocolate on a Saturday afternoon. None of the surrounding vets were open, so we drove 25 minutes to this vet. We arrived at 1:30, and they ended up staying with us until 3pm (1 hour after close) to ensure Jake was ok. I even received a follow up call the next day (a Sunday) to see how he was doing. We live 30 seconds from a reputable vet, but still drive 25 minutes to go here. Everyone here truly takes the time to understand your pet and how he/she operates, and that is worth the drive! Thanks French Creek!

They just told me no they are not taking any new patients. And there were not any other vets in the area that I knew of.. I thought it was incredibly cold and inhumane and I will never forget that they had a hand in making my wonderful dog’s last few days a nightmare

I've had 3 dogs over the past 20 years and we've used French Creek for all 3. Very caring about their clients and pet parents. I would like to thank all the employees that work at French Creek Vet. We have been taking our dog Sky there since 2002. Everything from obedience training as a puppy to multiple times they have cared for him when he was very sick. Sky has been going to their senior boarding for the last few years when we went on vacation. He really loved going there for every visit. From the doctors to the people in reception to the great staff of the senior boarding. They were there for our family today. I can say this was the worst day I have experienced in 14 years. We had to say goodbye to our beloved family member today. The staff at this facility made this day as comfortable as it could possibly be. Thank you to all the staff and the doctors. Our family will take our time to mourn the loss of our family member, but when it is time for us to add a new addition to the family our first visit will be at French Creek. Thank you for all your help and love for our family for all of these years.

I say ' friend' because we have shared so much in this time, From the joy of adopting new fur babies and grown up ones too to the heartbreak of having to help our babies to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Gall has been there for our family. I challenge anyone to find a better, more caring professional to care for their family. We absolutely love Dr. Gall! We have never had a bad experience at French Creek. I've had pets my entire life and I never encountered a veterinary practice that couldn't fit in a "sick" appointment within a day or two. Especially when it is one of their regular patients. I could tell that my dog had a UTI, as he has had them before. Yet they told me they couldn't fit him in for an appointment for 2weeks. I switched vet practices and I've never gone back.

Our family would like to thank my brother-in-law Dr Michael Engler and staff for taking care of 5 yr Yorkie "Roxie". She took a fall back in November and had back and neck injuries. They suggested giving her laser treatments. At her worst she was unable to walk and by the 3-4 treatment she started walking. Now she is running!!! I've always had a dog and have used French Creek Vet since they opened. They are very thorough and pleasant with my dog. I love all their vets. I had one dog put down at 18+ years. I held her while they put her down. They were so kind and caring. And I had another dog pass while I was out of town. My husband took him there for cremation but when I returned home I called and was able to go over and say my goodbyes to him. There rates are comparable and they give a senior citizen discount. I've also used their boarding. My dog loved it.

I never do reviews, but I just had to after my experience there. I went to FCVH for a 2nd opinion. Dr Engler was so nice and knowledgeable and really took his time with us. Dr Gall called us regarding my dogs follow up blood work and was so sincere and generous with her time answering all of my questions. We are not even a regular client as we live 1-1/2 hours away but really loved this place. Only negative, they are not closer to us!!!

This veterinary clinic was recommended to us by the previous owners when we purchased our house in the area, and we've been nothing but pleased. They have taken excellent care of our two dogs through regular checkups and emergency phone calls when one of them gets into something they shouldn't at home. They will make you and your pet feel welcome on the first visit.
French Creek also offers competitive prices on medications - I pick up the heart worm preventative that both of my dogs take here rather than buying online.

They have been wonderful.. I am very picky as far as my pets care goes and they have been very understanding of needs and limits of affordably... I am so impressed with everyone we have met there .. I really appreciate everything they have done, from general care to emergency visits.

I've had 3 dogs over the past 20 years and we've used French Creek for all 3. Very caring about their clients and pet parents. They have a quiet kitty corner and special cat only appointment days for their feline patients. There have been times where the dog has gotten sick and they've been able to fit us in within the day of or the next day for an appointment. In fact, when possible they even encourage us to bring her in ASAP for the best care. She can get antsy in the exam room but they are extremely patient and never push her to do anything she doesn't want without trying another way.Our current dog has been coming to the Friendly Paws Daycare once a week for 4 years now, and she absolutely loves it. She comes home tired but happy from her multiple play sessions with staff members and her dog friends. They assign each camper to a play group based on personality compatibility types. They feed her lunch and treats that we pack at home and she's allowed to bring her favorite toy and blankets. While she's there, they get a "nap/rest" time to decompress and relax. Each day, they send her home with a "report card" detailing any potential health issues, behavior, and activities for the day. They even occasionally post photos on their Facebook account of the campers. They can only board animals with special needs but I can guarantee they'll be in good hands.One or two times, there have been campers diagnosed with kennel cough. The staff have been very transparent with pet parents in reporting incidents and temporarily closing the daycare to sanitize the facility (even if it means losing a few days of business). They also make sure campers are up-to-date with their vaccinations before they can come.

I would like to thank all the employees that work at French Creek Vet. We have been taking our dog Sky there since 2002. Everything from obedience training as a puppy to multiple times they have cared for him when he was very sick. Sky has been going to their senior boarding for the last few years when we went on vacation. He really loved going there for every visit. From the doctors to the people in reception to the great staff of the senior boarding. They were there for our family today. I can say this was the worst day I have experienced in 14 years. We had to say goodbye to our beloved family member today. The staff at this facility made this day as comfortable as it could possibly be. Thank you to all the staff and the doctors. Our family will take our time to mourn the loss of our family member, but when it is time for us to add a new addition to the family our first visit will be at French Creek. Thank you for all your help and love for our family for all of these years.

Although it's a little expensive, they are very patient and gentle with my Shelly dog. We have been using them for years. I don't mind paying extra for the care they give.

They saved my cat and actually took a full 2 hours to take care of my cat. They ran 3 tests got right the work found the problem and gave us lots of solutions.

I have been a friend of this practice for roughly 25 years. I say ' friend' because we have shared so much in this time, From the joy of adopting new fur babies and grown up ones too to the heartbreak of having to help our babies to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Dr. Gall has been there for our family. I challenge anyone to find a better, more caring professional to care for their family. We absolutely love Dr. Gall! We have never had a bad experience at French Creek. The entire staff is always extremely pleasant, professional and treat our babies with so much TLC!!!

I've had pets my entire life and I never encountered a veterinary practice that couldn't fit in a "sick" appointment within a day or two. Especially when it is one of their regular patients. I could tell that my dog had a UTI, as he has had them before. Yet they told me they couldn't fit him in for an appointment for 2weeks. I switched vet practices and I've never gone back.

Our family would like to thank my brother-in-law Dr Michael Engler and staff for taking care of 5 yr Yorkie "Roxie". She took a fall back in November and had back and neck injuries. They suggested giving her laser treatments. At her worst she was unable to walk and by the 3-4 treatment she started walking. Now she is running!!! This was a true miracle and we are grateful for the friendly and outstanding service at French Creek! Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

They saved the life of my 14.5 year old dog a year ago when they removed his spleen and have been taking good care of him and my 17 year old cat for a long time!! I've always had a dog and have used French Creek Vet since they opened. They are very thorough and pleasant with my dog. I love all their vets. I had one dog put down at 18+ years. I held her while they put her down. They were so kind and caring. And I had another dog pass while I was out of town. My husband took him there for cremation but when I returned home I called and was able to go over and say my goodbyes to him. There rates are comparable and they give a senior citizen discount. I've also used their boarding. My dog loved it.

I never do reviews, but I just had to after my experience there. I went to FCVH for a 2nd opinion. Dr Engler was so nice and knowledgeable and really took his time with us. Dr Gall called us regarding my dogs follow up blood work and was so sincere and generous with her time answering all of my questions. We are not even a regular client as we live 1-1/2 hours away but really loved this place. Only negative, they are not closer to us!!!

This veterinary clinic was recommended to us by the previous owners when we purchased our house in the area, and we've been nothing but pleased. They have taken excellent care of our two dogs through regular checkups and emergency phone calls when one of them gets into something they shouldn't at home. They will make you and your pet feel welcome on the first visit.
French Creek also offers competitive prices on medications - I pick up the heart worm preventative that both of my dogs take here rather than buying online.
