Hands down best vet clinic we've ever been to! We bring our cats from Manhattan to see Dr. Z. The last vet we went to have my cat ear drops that were expired and burned her ears. We're now about two years of coming here and her ears are almost better. We had our other cat become paralyzed after an accident and she's now back to walking and better than ever. Can't rave about this cat vet any more! Will always be loyal customers. Read Less

That place a RIP OFF!!!!!!!! I took my cat there and they didn't do anything to him but they cherge me a lot many and my cat still sick so Do yourself a favor and take your cat to a Vet who is honest not a Vet who does basically nothing and charges you an astronomical bill!!! Read Less

What started out as a three-day board turned into boarding for 10 days. My very fussy cat had a wonderful time. They took such good care of her and worked with me on a day-to-day basis, as we were having our motorhome engine repaired and I couldn't give them a definite time period.  They were absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone. I took my cat to For Cats Only because he was not eating much. The vet did blood work and a ultrasound and found nothing. After five days they called me and said he can be picked up. That's when they slapped me with a bill for over $1250!! That's right $1250 for an ultrasound and bloodwork and basically hoteling my cat when he did not need to be there for five days!!! They could have done bloodwork and a ultrasound in one day and sent him home and saved me $1000 but that would not make them the money that they want to make. This is called I'm going to hold your pet hostage until you pay an outrageous over inflated bill! The professional thing to do would have been to give me an idea of what this was going to cost in advance so I could have pulled my cat out of there before I got stuck up for $1250. For Cats Only is a RIP OFF!!!!!!!! Do yourself a favor and take your cat to a Vet who is honest not a Vet who does basically nothing and charges you an astronomical bill!!! Read Less

My kitten michonne was spayed and just couldn't keep her calm the other cats were up all night throwing them selves at the door to get to here. It was a disaster and than she bit at her stitches! Taking two out! I was in a panic ! Day before thanksgiving by the way! My vet was closed for a week! I called them up and was told to bring her right in!! So thankful for them! They were so nice to me on the phone and in person. So clean and so friendly! Made me feel great to know all cats are there. When I call to check on her they always say how wonderful she is. When I realized I couldn't pick her up the day I said I could they said no worries we can keep her as long as you need! They gave her plenty of toys to play with and tons of love. She is coming home tomorrow she was there a whole week and had two shots an exam and plenty of care and it was around 250$ for all of that!! Pricing you can afford!! Well worth it because she is healing up wonderfully enough that she can be around the other cats now! I can't say enough about this place! If they were closer to me it would be my routine vet. I'm actually thinking of switching even though it's pretty far.Read Less

I absolutely love this place. Renee is fantastic with all of my cats and she is excellent when working with my Foster's that I bring there. The entire staff is so friendly and caring. They do great work. My one cat was in and out of this Hospital for the last 2 months do to urinary crystals. Renee was so caring and worked with me on what type of food to put all my cats on and  they also specialty order food for me as well. Read Less

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Zeigler and her staff. We started bringing our 3 cats here a few years ago after we were not satisfied with our previous veterinarian experience. Dr. Zeigler and her staff provide excellent care and most importantly, they care and are compassionate to you and your cats needs. We had to make a very difficult decision last year with 1 of our guys. We consulted with Dr. Zeigler and felt at peace enough to make that decision. She and her assistant came to our home, which helped us so much, because we wanted our little guy to be at home for his final hours. In the end, their compassion and understanding made a very difficult time just a little bit easier. For us, the caring is what matters most and we feel like For Cats Only delivers that and more! Dr. Z has been my vet for going on 13 years (3 cats). She is smart, compassionate, and non-judgmental. She brings exceptional clinical skills and knowledge to the table - and she deeply respects your knowledge of your cat's personality and habits. She has always helped me balance my pet's needs, my needs, and financial concerns - even when those were in conflict. I know she will always tell me the unvarnished truth and offer all the options. Her staff is also highly competent, friendly, and caring. Here is what I recently posted to my FB: My sweet Lola (aka "Poor Lola") faced her last episode of pain and distress last week. Yesterday she came home from the vet and had a fantastic day - no one forcing meds or food down her, she napped in her favorite places, was petted for as long as she wanted, ate her favorite food (Lucy's food), and when she started feeling poorly again, she was able to hide where she felt safe. I'm so grateful she was able to spend her last day feeling happy and safe. LOVE LOVE LOVE this vet !!!! I had taken my cats to another local vet and was always having complications with neuters and spays .... and coming home with upper respiratory problems .... I was so lucky to find Dr. Z maybe if I had found her earlier she could have saved the two cats I had lost . I will never bring my babies to another vet ! Since now having 11 cats I always seem to be at vet for something ...everytime I'm there I am met with professionalism and compassion even if I was just there the week before . I'm never rushed out of the office even if its late in the day near closing time !! I know my cats are well taken care of at this vet office .Read Less

Initially I was very pleased with our experience. The staff was friendly and polite. Our cat needed a growth removed from her back and all went well until we went back to have the stitches removed. The appointment to remove the stitches was made a week after surgery. Later that same day the wound reopened! Given the late hour we had to take her to Quakertown Vet Clinic emergency. We were told the stitches should have been in a minimum of two weeks for proper healing. When we called to follow up with For Cats Only they did not accept responsibility, instead claiming they wound was fully healed and it was OK for the stitches to be removed. The only restitution offered was to do stitches again for free. Not very helpful since we already rushed her to another clinic for fear of infection setting in. Instead we are stuck paying for emergency care for our cat since she needed to be sedated to receive new stitches to repair the wound. The frustration stems not from the cost but the break of trust we placed in the Dr. To have her continue to claim she did nothing wrong with removing the stitches in a week is obviously wrong given the situation. A simple apology would have gone a lot further.Read Less

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr Z and her staff. I've taken my cats there since they first opened and have always been treated respectfully and honestly. No immediate jumping to worst case scenario and genuine concern for both my kitties and me. Recently she helped me with some foster kittens I had and even more recent, went above and beyond to ensure my newest kitten, Pickles, was ok after a scare. I recently began taking my cat to For Cats Only, and my experience has been wonderful. The vet took time to listen to me and was gentle and kind with my cat. She noticed the warning signs of diabetes, which was confirmed by a blood panel. My cat is now feeling much better on her insulin regimen. Additionally, the staff remembers my cat by name and expressed how much they enjoyed her. They clearly care about the cats they treat, which says a lot. Highly recommend! Read Less

For years I had bounced from vet to vet with my little kitty & when we moved to Quakertown I saw For cats only & decided to give it a try.  WOW!  From the friendly faces, to the doctor & staffs compassion & even to their very reasonable pricing, I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS!  This past January we had to put down our girl at the young age of 17 (2 months shy of her 18th bday) and Doctor Ziegler was so amazingly understanding.  She told me what was happening & gave me my options.  We decided to give our girl a few more weeks at home before we put her down, but the doctor was so compassionate & even agreed that it would be nice for us to spend her last days with her in the comfort of her own home!  The day I put her down was the hardest day of my life & they were great through it all.  Now Moose is on our mantle looking over us in her beautiful box they gave us.  I will always take my cats to For Cats Only.  No doubt in my mind.  No one is puuurfect (see what I did there?!) but trust me, this place is worth giving a chance (or even a second chance). I had a great experience here, and if I hadn't moved away I would still use this vet for my cat. My little guy had a pretty bad start in 2014, having to be hospitalized for a blockage in his urethra. About a month after coming out of the hospital, he began exhibiting signs of being blocked again. After an unpleasant experience at a vet closer to my home, I drove a half hour to For Cats Only. I explained the situation to the doctor and she was very understanding and calmly explained that UTIs are common when a cat is catheterized, so they would test his blood for infection. I explained I lived a bit ways away and I didn't want to leave him overnight (it was a 2 pm appointment) if possible since he had been through a lot lately. She was again very understanding. I got a call around 5 pm that day saying he was ready to go, and that it was in fact a UTI and she had prescribed an antibiotic. I drove as fast as I legally could to get him before closing, but it was rush hour and I ended up getting there about a half hour after they closed, but the receptionist had waited, very generously, and was not all rushing or upset. She raved about what a sweet boy my cat is (he really is, he loves to cuddle), explained the dosage and administration of the meds, and we went on our way after profusely apologizing for being late. Also, considering he had an exam, tests, and a Rx, the bill was just under $200 and I was incredibly relieved since I had been charged a lot more by other vets just to exam and test him. After the proper administering of the antibiotic my dude was all better, and a year later (knock on wood) we've had no issues. I totally recommend this place for anyone's feline babies. Read Less

My cat had surgery at this clinic, which required her (according to Dr. Renee L. Ziegler-Post) to only eat a prescription diet for life. I haven't seen the vet in over a year, due to distance, lack of funds, and my cat was not in need. I recently tried to order the prescription food off a website (that was much cheaper - Chewy.com). When Chewy.com called For Cats Only Vet to confirm the prescription food, the clinic denied it because my cat was overdue for a visit. The clinic denied a script for a cat they insisted needed this prescription diet for life. Chewy.com allowed me to send them a photocopy of the written script from Dr. Z, which was still valid by the way, via email so I still go the prescription food, despite the clinic's attempt to deny me that opportunity. I believe this Vet does not care about the welfare of the animals, but more about the financial welfare of her business. I think it was cruel to deny a lifetime script to an animal simply because you haven't seen them. Needless to say, this Vet will no longer be getting my business. Read Less

Renee and staff are the BEST when it comes to caring for cats! We found her shortly after she opened in Quakertown, when we had a special needs (blind) cat who did not do well with any other vet we tried. They did a great job with that cat, and continue to provide great care to all the cats who manage to find us. I'd give her 6 stars! Read Less

Dr. Z never rushes me out the door and will wait to answer as many questions as I have. She is very knowledgeable about issues relating specifically to cats! After seeing a different vet for feline asthma Dr. Z got my cat set up with a medication that is actually working. Her staff truly love cats and gush over each one. Dr. Z is very caring about the cats experience here and simply won't do something if she thinks it is causing undue stress. Dr. Zeigler and her staff are the best. With aging cats, I need someone who can consult and give me the best options and this clinic has always risen to the occasion. Dr. Zeigler was a tenacious advocate for one of my cats that was afflicted with a rare disorder. She was able to get him on track and we've been blessed to have him after 3 years of his initial diagnosis. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. Read Less

Dr Ziegler is the most compassionate and professional veterinarian I have met.  Her "bedside" manner surpasses many MDs.  She is driven by a genuine love of felines that goes beyond her practice with the effort she commits to various no-kill charities.  For Cats Only is the place where my wife and I have trusted three cats.  She has helped us bring happiness to a cat with severe CH.  She helped us with another through a troublesome UTI.  She was our guide as we rescued a dear cat with Feline Leukemia.  She enabled us to give him a wonderful life.  She was there with us when his time ran out and that, I promise you, is the time which proves the value of her unique care.For Cats Only is the embodiment of Dr Ziegler's love for cats.  It is the place where you can trust your best friends. I just got online to search what hours my vet was open today and the Yelp reviews came up in my search. I want to add my review because the ones already here definitely do not mirror my experience with For Cats Only at all. Dr. Ziegler has been my veterinarian since she opened her doors in Quakertown and I cannot speak highly enough about her clinic, her staff, and the care she provides. This week, I woke up to a sick cat and immediately got in the car and called For Cats Only on the way because I know they will make time to see her, even though I didn't even have an appointment. Of course, that's not something I do often but it's good to know that I can if I need to instead of running to an expensive vet hospital that doesn't know my cats history. Dr. Ziegler has always been exceptional in her expertise, her care, and the attention she not only shows my cats, but also shows me. She is very current on research and treatments (pros & cons of probiotic use, grain free foods, etc) and always respects my input. I also like that by going to a cat-centered clinic, she can usually pinpoint any problems and is able to narrow down exactly what test is needed so that my bill is always reasonable with appropriate exams/tests/treatments. There's not much more I can say other than I am a very loyal client and I trust Dr. Ziegler and her staff immensely. Before I went to Dr. Ziegler, I never had a regular vet and just took my cats wherever was cheapest and convenient but since going to For Cats Only, my cats gets the best, most affordable care at one consistent place and for years now they have only seen one dr. for all their care which I feel good about. The clinic is always clean and comfortable. Fees are reasonable and they do a lot within the community to help pets in need. If you buy food from them and your cat won't eat it, they have a generous return policy or will offer to donate it to a shelter on your behalf. Overall, as a long time client, I highly recommend For Cats Only and Dr. Ziegler and I suggest, if you need a vet, to make an appointment or call the clinic and see for yourself rather than rely on internet reviews. I'm glad I found this place before I saw these reviews because it may have cost me many years of quality care for my kitties. Read Less

I drive all the way from Philly to go to this vet because of the reasonable prices and caring staff.  The fact I make the drive is also based on the fact I have a special needs cat and whose care I would only entrust to Dr. Z.Further, I strongly disagree with the last reviewer who is one of those people who makes me think... seriously get a life. Do you really have nothing better to do then cat sit for your friends and write essays on yelp on behalf of your friends, and a vets unwillingness to shake your hand.   Seriously, if you are looking for a vet that won't charge an arm and a leg like some of the places in Philly do this is the place for you.  If you are looking for a cat sitter who likely made her friend's cat sick I suggest you contact Heather M. FOR CATS ONLY in Quakertown was THE WORST vet experience in my life.  I took a sick friend's eight year old cat there, because her cats had been patients there for seven years.  I called for emergency appointment (At 9A.M.), after the cat showed signs of imbalance.  They told me first appt was at 4:10, but I could bring him, and vet would look at him between appts.  Got there, waited 20 minutes before being acknowledged, then another 20 before being told to leave, and they would see him when they could.  They close at 6 PM and we were told that he had not even been seen yet, call tomorrow.  At 2:30 the next day, he was STILL  not seen.  Six days later they called her to say he was "Better"; "Come pick him up."  We went and got him (After paying a $900.00 Vet bill), took him home, opened the carrier, and he walked out and collapsed on the floor!!  I called another vet (Harleysville;), and they told me to bring him right away.  I was at Harleysville for THREE HOURS before For Cats Only FINALLY faxed over the cat's records.  HVille did blood work, and treated him, and in 2 days and a substantially lesser amount he was doing much better.  When I went a week later to pick up her other cat's medicine at FCO, they told me that they canceled his medicine because she went somewhere else for the OTHER CAT!!  They had NO idea what was wrong w/ him, but instead of admitting it and suggesting a second opinion, she (The female  blonde???doctor ) got her feathers ruffled...and acted like a child with hurt feelings..  I brought back a Cryovac Sealed package of medicine that the second vet said "DO NOT GIVE HIM", and asked if she could get reimbursed, and they said "No, it could have been tampered with?????"  They took me into a little room, and when I stood to shake the vet's hand, and introduce myself, she stood against the wall with her arms crossed in front of her, and did not reciprocate!!!  When I called the owner (My sick friend), and asked the "Doctor" to speak to her, she refused!  I'm sowwy I hurt your wittle feelings.  GROW UP and get a vet that does not act like she got her  degree from KMart!!!  Oh, and this review would have been ZERO stars,  if you allowed it.  Save your cats, and steer clear of this over priced HACK SHOP! I ended up taking my cats to another vet after a series of suspicious treatments and medications that appeared to be unnecessary. The final straw was a post-surgical issue on a recently neutered young male cat - the incision site had started to come undone and was leaking pus, so I feared it had become infected. At this point I wasn't blaming the vet for anything - I just wanted the incision site looked at. When I took this cat in, they decided he needed to be hospitalized for several days. When I called during the week, they wouldn't provide any information about my cat, and they were very rude about my calling for information. Finally, when he was discharged, they told me he had diarrhea and provided me with a bunch of medication. In addition, when I asked about what the medication was for, the front office staff became very rude and defense. Dr. Z herself confronted me, and all I wanted to know what was the medication was for. I ended up taking my cat to another vet to have the actual problem looked at, and this vet actually treated the incision site, and verified that a lot of the medication provided was unnecessary. With regards to the comment below, that Dr. Z doesn't "push" medication or treatment - you're right, she doesn't. She just administers the services anyway and charges you for it. Read Less
