Accounting practices need strong refinement. Our cat had health checks at this establishment for seven years, so this clinic knew we were people of honor and integrity. As our cat is passing away today and we are preparing to say goodbye, the office manager or accountant came into the clinic room and stated we had to pay the final bill then and there; and handed it to me. No sensitivity and emotional intelligence at all to pause and even consider asking us to take care of the final bill a little later. Greatly disappointed. Read Less

Here's my response to your comments... Scrappy clearly had mites right from the beginning. After the first time crashing out the window she was picked up, taken to the SPCA in Perkiomenville and given flea drops. They do this for all dogs they take in as a precaution and had no help with her mites. I brought Scrappy to you twice and called you twice over a period of 6 weeks. You never once mentioned parasites. On my last talk with you I was told to change her food AGAIN and keep it that way for 12 weeks. My poor dog had mites from the beginning and they were allowed to live and breed in her for at least 6 weeks due to your misdiagnosis and arrogance about your being right about food allergy. I hung up on you when you said keep it this way for 12 more weeks. When you said that I knew I had to find another Vet. Read Less

Brought my dog to them because she was scratching a lot. They said food allergy. Change her food, gave me apoquil. Dog got worse. Went back. Change her food again, more apoquil and an $80 bottle of shampoo which gave my dog hives. By now she has scratched herself bleeding all over her body. Called them and was told to change her food again and keep it that way for 12 weeks. My daughter came and took my dog to her vet. One look, the Dr said she has mites. Horrible little parasites that live and breed under the skin and cause mange. Because Rofo vet miss diagnosed my poor dog and the parasites were allowed to live freely for 8 weeks she almost lost her mind. Crashed right through two windows in my house and we both suffered for weeks. Rofo vet is stupid and arrogant. Beware. Read Less

I am glad she is feeling better. When we saw her, her skin scrape was negative for mites. We decided to treat her for a reaction to the shelters' flea treatment and allergies and when we last spoke, you had indicated that the Apoquel and food change were resolving the issue. When you called back to discuss recurrence of the problem, my associate was trying to speak with you about parasite control and allergies and you hung up on her. I am sorry we could not resolve the problem and I hope she is well soon.

Was in a few weeks back, been a regular there for a good while now. Scheduled were some standard checks on my sweet house Wolf, the assistant and vet tech were aces! Very kind and helpful - top bananas all around. I give that part of the staff 5 stars and two thumbs up - the overall experience went down hill when met by a woman called Regina that handles the billing. Unfortunately this lady seems to have very poor social skills resulting in less than fabulous customer service. Her strange remarks left me feeling very uncomfortable, I get the feeling maybe this location has been burned by dead beat customers? I was trying to read between the lines but the woman was very confrontational when I inquired about using a standard form of payment. It seems like they are pushing for people to pay in ca$h I guess?? Ultimately I have no idea what was going on, but for a $100 bill to be made to feel like I was going to try and rip them off was really very very weird, and insulting.. on top of being a customer there for the past 5 years. Not sure I'll be back - unfortunate because the rest of the staff are top bananas. Read Less

My beagle chewed a bottle of Ibuprofen...Yikes... never had that situation before! I immediately called my vet, French Creek Vet, they put me on hold for what seemed like forever and came back to tell me that I had to call the Poison Control center first. Why...I do not know! I called the Poison control center and the first thing they said was prior to your consultation, I need to agree to pay them $49 Fee. For What I asked? To Consult me, to evaluate the situation, open a "case" and then let me know if I should take my dog to the Vet!! I told her "NO Thank YOU". I called French Creek back after that and asked to speak directly to a vet, on hold again, they came back and told me they are booked the rest of the night ... too busy. Fine, I guess I will just let the dog die, I should have said to them!! I quickly looked up what to do... give the dog hydrogen peroxide to make him throw up. I hesitated, then called the Royersford Vet!!!! They immediately mentioned hydrogen peroxide and I started administering it while on the phone with them. She consulted the Vet right there on the phone and said I could bring him directly in if he did not throw up within 15 minutes. In this situation, time was crucial to save the dog's life. That is exactly what Dr. DeMaula did!! I walked in and she took our precious Buddy the beagle, weighed him and injected the needle within seconds. He threw up almost instantaneously, three times... there were the Ibuprofen!! Dr. DeMaula made herself immediately available in this critical and traumatic time and we so appreciate it. We cannot thank you enough Dr. DeMaula and your wonderful staff. Buddy is one of your newest permanent patients. Wag Wag, Thank you Thank you.... Buddy Camp and Family Read Less

We first used this vet in Oct 2011 when we adopted a cat.  In Dec of 2011, our 14-yr old beagle looked bloated and we were very concerned.  Jethro had been a patient at another vet his entire life and I called that vet to see if they could see him right away because of the bloat.  I called at 4:50 pm and was told they were closing and if he still didn't feel well the next morning to call them.  I called Royersford Vet and explained the situation.  Though Jethro had never been seen by them, they told us to bring him right over and Dr DeMaula examined him immediately.  Unfortunately, our boy's situation was dire and he had to be put down.  As difficult as that time was, it was a great relief to us that Dr DeMaula was willing to see our dog right away so we could make an informed decision.  To have had him suffer through the night waiting for his usual vet to see him the next day would have been unconscionable.  The doctor and staff were so kind and compassionate.  In the 2 years since, we remain very pleased with the care our dogs & cats have received.  It's rarely been a problem to get a same day appt for routine check ups.  Dr DeMaula has been very thorough in explaining our pets' illnesses and options for treatment.  Vet care isn't cheap but we've found their prices reasonable and comparable to other vets we've used. Great place to bring your animals! I went after I got a recommendation from a friend who brought their cats here, & since my cat was in need of veterinary care I decided to go. The staff was extremely nice & professional, couldn't ask for more helpful people & also the place was very clean & spacious. My cat is rather shy around new people but he was quite comfortable with everyone that was in contact with him. The vet, Dr. DeMaula, impressed me the most. Within seconds of feeling lump on my cat's underside she told me he had a dislocated xiphoid bone. She gave me the choice of whether or not I wanted x-rays, her words being " you can if you want, but I personally think it's unnecessary since I know what it is" This meant the world to me, she was confident in her diagnosis, & I never once felt pressured to do anything I didn't want. Dr. DeMaula also went above & beyond by answering all my questions without making me feel unintelligent or belittling me (& yes, I have been to a vet that would do this if you ask any questions about his diagnosis, or treatment). Since my kitty was acting normal & breathing fine, there was no treatment plan for him, just making sure that his behavior didn't dramatically change. I felt the price was fair for what they did. ($51 for a "sick exam" oh btw they were able to get me in the same day I called, that was another plus for me) Bottom line, I will definitely be bringing my pets back to RVH! Read Less

Amazing! They take such great care of my two dogs. They love them like their own and treat them amazingly. Whenever we have a mishap or an emergency they are always able to see us. They know quick healthy remedies for everything. Our two dogs love seeing their vet! Just as much as the staff loves to see them! I am so thankful for their knowledge! I would recommend them to anyone who wants a positive, healthy, safe and clean place to take their pets for any medical need. Read Less

I have two cats that needed declawed. I called the "other local vet" and got a price of roughly $400 per cat. A friend of mine mentioned that a new vet had opened up in town and that I should give them a call. Their price was $150 per cat. After taking my cats in for a check-up, I was convinced that this was going to be my new vet. The place is clean and the staff was very welcoming. Dr. DeMaula was very approachable and not judgemental about my decision to declaw. Read Less

Read Less
