My sweet little gray manx had urinary problems due to a tail and hip deformaty at birth. We took her to Valley Vet for years every time she'd get a kidney infection and it would be upwards of $200 every visit (and that was on the low end). I had a friend recommend Saxony Animal Clinic and now I take all of my animals there. It got to the point where I could just call them and they would call in her prescription. One night my poor little kitty girl just howled all night long. I held her til morning and rushed her in. I told them I didn't have a lot of money but they said let's just worry about getting her fixed up first. They kept her for three days but in the end she ended up going with God over the rainbow bridge. Not only did they make me a beautiful mold of my baby's footprint to take home but they told me to worry about the payment at another time. My poor cat was super sick so we were the first customers of the day and the girl with the tattoos took us back to weigh her and everything. I was so freaking pissed I just got done telling this girl how sick my cat was and how worried I was about her and how you can't pick her up or she'll cry because of how much pain she was in when she was touched. So the girl knew I was scared to death that my cat was in serious trouble. Anyways my cat was in a carrier and she wouldn't come out because she could barely move which I had also mentioned...... And this is what the girl said word for word......... Oh you're not going to come out I'm just going to dump you out then and literally tilted the carrier straight up and down and shook so the cat fell out and she really cried because it hurt her?! Now I could see tipping it a little bit so that it would help her come out but NO she didn't even try? She just said okay you're not going to come out I'm just going to dump you out then! I was so pissed. My little girl was upset by it and so was my mother, none of us could believe she did that! Needless to say we had to put my poor baby to sleep because she was so ill which came on suddenly? We were there at the vet's office from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.! They took her back for blood work and said it would be 20 or 30 minutes it was more like an hour and a half! I couldn't believe they made us wait that long to find out that we were going to have to put her to sleep? I was sick to my stomach the whole time worrying to death. I could not believe they made us wait so long when I was so worried never said a word to us the whole time? Never said we're running behind or the vet will be with you shortly or anything! I also didnt care for the vet, she talked to me like I was an idiot? I know I asked her a ton of questions but I was so scared! I will never go there again especially after that girl threw my cat out of the carrier when she was in so much pain. That was just so devastating to watch..... for all of us. R.I.P me me! Waiting time is way to long. We sat for a hour in exam room and no one ever came in to tell us why the wait was so long. We left and was not seen. We are thrilled that Dr Lavery is practicing here. She is professional, caring and takes the time to explain everything. The front desk staff was courteous and we were seen in a timely manner. The waiting room has dividers, so you can keep your animal as calm as possible. The clinics prices are very reasonable, which helps when you have multiple animals. these people are amazing! my German Shepherd went to another vet i had suspicion of pyromania they said nope idk why she is like this and sent her home 2 weeks later she got very ill.i took her to Saxony animal clinic she had pyromania. by the way it is a life threatening condition.If she didn't have a hysterectomy immediately she would have died.By no means did i have $1000 for an emergancy surgury.Not many people do. but they said here at saxony animal clinic we care about the animal . they let me put a large deposit down and make arrangements on the balance.I dont know of any other vet office that does that for an animal. Trust me ive been in that predicament before and lost an animal because i couldn't afford a surgery. I can't say enough good things about Saxony Animal Clinic. Dr. Rapsinksi and her staff are amazing people. Always compassionate, caring and very thorough whether we are there for a routine exam, an illness or saying goodbye to one of our furry family members. Recently our dog Jasmine was deathly ill. We were not sure if she was going to make it. She was treated by Dr. Rapsinski for almost two weeks. Thankfully she made a full recovery and we owe all the thanks to this awesome team of people. They were so good to Jasmine (and me) and were truly as happy and excited as I was when she got well. After months of trying to find out what was causing my dogs skin issues I was able to get an appointment with Saxony. In just one appointment I learned so much more than the 4 to 5 I was at with my old vet and my dogs skin issues are finallly clearing up! The Dr. got straight to the point, didnt waste our time, didn't force meds that she didnt think would work and spent the whole visit sitting on the floor so she could really look him over. Recommended unneeded, painful, expensive surgery for my dog. They tried to pressure me into this surgery. My dog is healthy and happy today. I gave then over 200 dollars for the visit, a bunch of meds, and some simple and unneeded procedure. all they did helpful was sell me overpriced amoxicillin. When I refused the surgery, I was told it was the ethical way to go. I felt judged. I believe I saved my dog a lot of trouble by leaving without the surgery. The most knowledgeable compassionate staff I have ever encountered. Words cannot describe the miracles they provided my shih tzu Kelsey. When Kelsey's time to cross rainbow bridge came, I was truly devastated. They still tried to give her one last miracle knowing that if she could have some more meaningful quality time left they would move mountains to give it to us. Unfortunately Kelsey could not be saved. I took many photographs of her prior to going to the vet as well as while we were at the vet knowing they may be the photographs I get of my baby. It wasn't until several hours later I could bring myself to look at them. The earlier pictures show her stiff, uneasy, uncomfortable, not my happy dog. The pictures just prior to her crossing rainbow bridge she was relaxed, and calm. I owe the vet so much for the extra years and miracles she gave us with Kelsey. Money... Well I can honestly say I would have sold as many of my belongings as it took to provide Kelsey (or any of my pets) care if I needed to. The prices are beyond reasonable. I've never been to a vet and spent as little as I did at Saxony. They will do anything they can and hardly charge for their services. Ive been taking my animals to Saxony since 2006 after this last experience I will never take another "family member" there again and I suggest if you love your animals you find another clinic also. They are inconsiderate money hungry bitches who could careless about your pets! They slacked on informing me on some concerning health issues regarding my dog. Saxony Animal Health Clinic is a RIPOFF! they charged me over $200 to do blood work for my cat sneezers, and did not check him for feline Herpies and that is well known to cause respratory infections... now i cant even afford to take him somewhere else! Read Less
