We visited this facility today; unfortunately, our experience was terrible. Our dog, who is 15 years old, suffered a minor stroke. Her stroke has left her weak, immobile, and she has lost the ability to drink and eat properly. For months, her health has been declining--but today, it was the worst we've ever seen. It was a rough decision for our family, but we felt it would be best to put her down to end her sufferings. So we visited this facility, since the vet we usually go to is closed on weekends. We were kindly greeted by a vet technician, who was empathic and listened to what we had to say. A few minutes later, the vet came in (I believe her name is Dr. Karen, but she never actually introduced herself to us) came in and asked, "So what's going on?" We told her, but she didn't listen to our complete story. She cut us off midway and told us that our dog was dehydrated. Well OBVIOUSLY! If she heard what we had to say, she would know that her stroke has prevented her from drinking and eating properly. Then she roughly, not gently, placed our fragile dog on the floor to see how she walks. Our dog took only a few steps in the shoebox examination room (literally the size of a coat closet) and told us that our dog is fine. That's when I intervened. I told her that she cannot POSSIBLY determine the condition of my dog in under 2 minutes. She cannot keep her balance while walking. She cannot do ANYTHING. She can't even walk up the stairs anymore, and she has the nerve to tell me that she's fine?! She didn't want to hear what we had to say. She wanted to do bloodwork and then take it from there. But when we told her our hesitations about it, she walked out on us. We didn't want to spend $200 on bloodwork to tell us that there's nothing that can be done; we've been down this road before with our other dogs. The vet tech apologized for her poor behavior and told us that she has a tendency of not showing much compassion to pet owners. We left disappointed, and now my dog has to suffer through another day in pain. Watching her in this condition is breaking our hearts. We only want what's best for her. Sadly, Dr. Karen didn't seem to care about our feelings. She lacked empathy, compassion, and proper bedside manners. For her to walk out on us was extremely unprofessional and wrong. So PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR PETS HERE. We hope that our experience will help you change your mind about coming here. Read Less
