I have owned miniature schnauzers, and now a Schnoodle, for 39 years and consider our veterinarian like a pediatrician.  Bottom line, I am very selective about procedures and personalities as they relate to my "puppies" and myself.  I recommend Seven Fields because they really care and everything is immaculate.  I can always schedule an appointment because of the their customer-friendly hours, evenings and Saturdays and Sundays, too.  Their facility in New Brighton, PA, on Third Avenue is also very helpful.  We always feel welcome and well-cared for.My Schnoodle asked me to write this review.  :) Read Less

I needed to get my sick cat to a vet immediately and they were nice enough to see her. They ran numerous test and couldn't give us an answer what was wrong we had to take her to another hospital approx 50 minutes away. They were very nice, treated her with love, and went out of their way to make arrangements for us to take her to the other veterinary hospital. Read Less

I enthusiastically recommend this vet! We had a hard time finding a veterinarian to diagnose and treat our guinea pig, and found Dr. Griffin through a referral from another vet. She is incredible. We found her knowledgeable, kind, thorough, gentle, professional and caring. The office is clean and well-organized, the staff was helpful and nice and the rates are reasonable and fair. I feel so lucky to have found this office!! We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and just moved to the area, we were so close with our old vet that I didn't think there was anyway that we'd be lucky enough to find another office as good. Every time that I call Seven Fields Vet, I speak with someone incredibly knowledgeable and HONEST. They are so reassuring but aren't so quick to schedule a potentially unnecessary appointment caused by my paranoia :) In the short few months that we've been at this office, I couldn't be anymore impressed- stop looking for a great vet office, you've found it at Seven Fields! The team at SFVH were absolutely fantastic!  Our 14 year old lab was having problems standing and walking and they immediately found time for us to come in.  Dr. Grohmann and our tech Rose were empathetic, extremely knowledgeable and provided absolutely outstanding care to our dog treating him as if he was their own.  Pricing was reasonable and worth every penny.  We just found our new vet! I highly recommend this place. They were awesome with our pug, who was sick and needed surgery. We had taken her to an emergency place that wanted us to pay 4,000 upfront, before they would do anything. We hurried and called our usual vet, who helped us get her in Seven Fields. I am new to the area and called Seven Fields after my pup broke out in full body hives.  They fit me in just before closing on a Saturday afternoon. I love this vet! I just recently moved to Seven Fields and I'll tell you what they are a step above the rest. The front desk employees are very courteous and make it a priority to schedule around your time. I've never been told "sorry we don't have that time open" or made to wait for a long period of time in the waiting area. The vet (J. Griffin) is exceptional. She is so kind and approaches my pets in a way that puts them at ease. She doesn't feed into some of the "what ifs" instead she has a very calculated approach to treatment. The staff at Seven Fields is SO caring and treat everyone (two legged as well as 4 legged) as family. They have been nursing my puppy with pneumonia back to health. I am very impressed with all the staff at this Hospital, vets and vet techs. I feel as though I am getting the same quality and dedication as though I were taking my child to a pediatrician. They have cared for two different dogs of mine--a senior rescue with serious health problems as well as a very healthy former show dog. I have seen all of the vets--and they are thorough and explain what treatment is needed in detail. They also provide ample information to my questions and concerns . I have total confidence in them. Dr. Ann is amazing she loves your animals as much as you do. She made a really hard situation so much better just because of the love she had for our "Hunter" dog!! The front desk lady is lovely. Besides that, don't go to this vet. I was a new customer - I waited for 45 minutes ... with my dog shaking the whole time (because you can hear them doing surgical procedures from the entrance area) ... I was never seen. When the very nice front desk lady tried to get me a room - I heard other staff members being rude to her. I left with never seeing a doctor. Love the staff at seven fields. My Cooper was overly nervous and was a bit vocal and restless when taken in the other room for blood work. The understanding staff came in 3 times to let me know he was fine and reassured me he was just a little stressed. They took the extra time to calm him and he came back wagging his little tail! I haven't met a vet tech or a vet here that hasn't been knowledgeable, kind, and sensitive to pets (and owners) in distress. A comprehensive physical exam was about $50.  They will do wellness (I.e. Baseline) blood work with a fecal check for another $120. If you need flea and tic chewables, expect to pay around $10 per pill. Nexgard for heart worm is also available for about $20 per dose. (These costs were for a large dog 50 to 100 lbs.)They also have a cool online portal that lets you view and print your pet's records and sends you reminders when checkups or vaccinations are due. I honestly cannot express the enormous amount of gratitude I have for this amazing group of professionals.  Not only are they prompt, they're compassionate (toward the helicopter kitty mom and her antics) and incredibly accommodating.  My sweet 15 year old kitty was brought in for a consultfor a feeding tube, and I was quoted some $275 for the ultrasound to determine if he had liver or some other abdominal mass causing his lack of appetite.  When that came back as inconclusive, the doctor recommended a separate blood test (after the placement of the tube during the same visit) to which I agreed on, but when I looked at the bill afterwards, I noticed they dropped the price of the ultrasound to accommodate the additional test. Any other vet would have just lumped that additional fee right on the bill and wouldn't have thought twice about it. I'm amazed and grateful, and while my sweet kitty didn't pull through as he was experiencing non HL liver failure (likely old age) they took such wonderful care of him and me through what turned out to be one of he hardest two weeks of my life.  They gave me another week to say goodbye, and when Mr Tyson told me it was time, they made even that experience a positive one.  I received my paw print in the mail today and I cannot say anything but good things about the staff here!One last thing: when I was calling around for the pricing of a feeding tube to be surgically placed with local vets, everyone I spoke with quoted me anywhere between $1500-$2000 for the procedure.  Dr Cirillo placed it for under $350. What a great group of Doctor's and Vet Tech's especially Dr. Griffin! My cat, Patches was in renal failure when I bought him in and things didn't look good. Dr. Griffin came up with a plan to try to and save him. She was hopeful but couldn't promise anything. He is an older cat so I pretty much thought this was it, but I had to try, without going to extreme measures. I'm happy to say today, after a month, he was rechecked and his levels are back to normal! I couldn't thank you and everybody else there enough, we are so grateful to have him around a little longer! Love my vet!  This is one of the best vets I've ever taken a pet to.  I bring my dog here and they have always been super friendly, kind, considerate and never try to push unnecessary procedures, tests or medications on me.  Unlike so many vets I've been to, they never seem to judge if you say money is tight, or try to push you into buying more preventatives than you need (or make you feel like a jerk for not buying the ones they recommend - like flea treatment).  Again, LOVE this place.  They're also quick to help if you have medical questions or don't understand something.  Also, if you just need something quick done, like a blood draw, they'll schedule a tech appointment to avoid office visit fees and you're in and out in a flash.  And, their hours are great.  I love that they have evening appointments available.  It used to be such a pain getting in to my old vet because they called it quits so early in the day (not to mention the fact that the old vet charged an arm and a leg for just about everything!)Lastly, they were such a huge help to my boyfriend and his family about a year ago when their cat got sick.  They were with them every step of the way and even went out to their home when the terminally ill kitty finally needed to be put to sleep.  Absolutely amazing.Edit:  One more thing!  My dog LOVES going to the vet!  They make her feel so at ease she never fights me getting in the car or going in the doors when we get there.  She's always happy and ready to go play by the time we leave too, which is absolutely priceless. I've taken my pets to this Veterinary Hospital twice and both times I have found them to be extraordinarily accommodating and caring. Most recently, my dog became sick after eating two boxes of chocolate on a late Saturday afternoon. They took him in, stayed after close and treated him. When he still wasn't feeling himself later that night, Dr. Ann met us back at the office at 10PM (not a misprint!) and gave him an IV. Needless to say, our dog is back to being his healthy self but the know-how, compassion and care that this Hospital demonstrated was overwhelming and therefore I strongly endorse them. Read Less

Can't speak highly enough about this place.  Never used them before but had an emergency situation with our dog late Saturday afternoon and after calling all around looking for a vet, they quickly returned my call and took him in despite no appointment and at closing.  Here's the best part....later that night, my dog was still feeling ill.  The vet broke off her evening engagement and met us at the clinic at 10pm to give him an IV.Our dog is back to good health but the extra effort and care from this clinic significantly aided his recovery.   I can't thank them enough.  Needless to say, I've become a big fan of the vet and the clinic. They took wonderful care of our sweet Stella. Sadly, we had to put her down, but we are very satisfied with the care we received from the staff until the bitter end. They answered all our questions and were great about returning calls. They were friendly, kind, and courteous. Their facility is also the nicest I've been to. There is NO pet odor, and the rooms look fresh and updated. I think it's great that they offer you water, coffee, or tea, like they really care about your experience there. I also love the paw print service they provide for deceased pets. It was a comfort to receive our Stella's in the mail after she passed. The people who work here are so fantastic! When you are having a pet emergency, they are so unbelievably kind and quick to help you. Our dog Harley started having seizures and I called to try and get her in, they said bring her in immediately and met me at the door when we arrived. They were so sweet to her and were quick and efficient in administering medications to help her. The doctors that we spoke with were so warm and concerned. I can't say enough good things about how friendly and relatable they were and how quick everyone was to put us at ease. We had our dog Franny spayed here and they seem to be really advanced as far as new technologies and therapies are concerned. They utilize lasers to help with to healing process and recommend several different pain management options. The only downfall is that they aren't there at night so if your pet needs to spend the night or if you have an emergency at night you will have to go elsewhere. Read Less

Great service! My cat got vomiting and didn't drink or eat for more than a day, I got little worry about dehydration of my cat . I called around everywhere and other clinics  just told me they don't have available appointment until 3 days after  or asked me to visit the emergency (which cost lots more)..... Besides that, no other suggestions... I know cat vomiting can be normal sometimes but you never know how serious it can be.  I dont think my cat was in an emergency situation but don't want to wait 3 days.... I am really appreciated Seven Field,  they try to understand my concern.  Even they don't have opening appointment at that time ,  they try to work out with me so that my cat got a chance to see the vet and had a treatment for a reasonable price!  Very helpful. My 13 year old labrador mix was shaking and going into shock on a Saturday. All of the local vets were closed except for Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital. They took excellent care of us. Unfortunately, Maggie had a tumor that was blocking her digestion and she was in a lot of pain. Dr. Katherman walked us through the procedure to help Maggie get to a better place. They understood that a pet is part of the family and treated it as if a person had passed. If we do get another family pet we will definitely be using Seven Fields Veterinary Hospital for everything.
