They were great with my lab, got her in within an hour of calling them! She was heavily pregnant, and her normal vet was scheduled for surgeries all day. My boyfriend and his family has always taken their animals there and they always said nice thing about them. However I just had my first experience there and it's was better than anywhere in have been! We sadly had to put my cat down and they gave us a paw print with a piece of his hair which ment so much to the both of us. They go above and beyond! If it's either getting a new animal or one has past they make sure you feel special and part of their family. Would recommend them to everyone and I will always bring my animals to them! After I brought home our new cockapoo puppy (that we named) "Prince", I noticed he wasn't feeling well. I looked up the symptoms and seemed that he had Kennel Cough". Great. I planned to take him to a Vet in a short time; but now needed to get him in right away. Even though we were new to Pocono Peak I was able to get him in the next day. Everyone was very nice. Prince did have a shot previously to purchase so he had a mild case. It's been two weeks and the given meds worked! My family recently moved to PA, and I was looking for a vet in the area for our beloved 5 cats and 1 dog family members. After being with the same vets in NJ for 19 years, I was apprehensive. After all, you want the best for those loving, innocent creatures who share your life so deeply for such a short time... With no one to rely on word of mouth, after searching the internet I came across Pocono Peak Veterinary Center. Yes, there are other fancier looking vet centers or clinics in the E. Stroudsburg/Stroudsburg/Monroe Co. areas; but I decided to give them a try after seeing their great smiling pics and adorable video on their website. And OMG, Im so glad I did! Yes, they do greet our pets and talk to them as they truly are our kids and not just animals. They did place a mat on the cold metal table for the pets comfort as stated on the video. They soothed them while they were examined or treated. They explained everything to me without rush, and took the time to address all my questions and concerns without making me feel foolish. They made suggestions with the wellbeing of the patient as a priority. The ladies on the staff that took care of us were wonderful! They were joyful, kind, experienced on their field, offered affordable possible solutions, had broad skill running the business and achieved fast paperwork completion! Dr. Keer was fantastic! Knowledgeable, compassionate, with a loving nature towards our furry rascals, with a good sense of humor and packed with patience to deal with this old woman! The whole experience was superb; from the first call to make the appointment, to the office greeting, to the actual vet consultation and examination, to the paperwork and to the goodbyes. My family has spent 1,000s of dollars taking our dogs here for the past 15 years or so. When my dog was attacked by another dog they refused to treat him without payment up front. These people do not care about your animals, they only care about your money. Ever since Dr. Clair left, this vet office has been terrible. Rude, snobby, and money hungry. My sister brings her dogs here and we LOVE Dr. B (aka dr. Purr). She's so kind! I also love the vet tech's here! They are very sweet and always helpful. However, sadly I must say I am less than thrilled with our recent visit (I am not personally a client but always go with my sister). There is a new vet tech, named Cindy and I remember her from the animal shelter AWSOM. My sister went there to adopt a dog and let's just say she was very rudely greeted by the vet tech (Cindy). I find it very distasteful that she is now working at Pocono Peak. I do not in any way intend to be negative, but we absolutely loved this veterinary office now we are seriously considering changing our vet, as well as other friends we have spoken too. I guess AWSOM final woke up and realized they had a bitter woman working for them and gave her the boot. Why Pocono Peak... Why? I wrote a review about a year ago and I was MORE than happy for give 5 stars it's much deserved! And trust me had, Cindy, never been highered I would never leave this second review. I'm sorry if this sounds cold, but honestly, please don't have her working for you. My sister as well as many others will be switching vet's I hope that will urge you to keep ONLY humans who are kind to animals on your staff. Not someone who tells another he should have "left the kittens where they were because they are young, sick, and will probably die." Just saying. However, Dr. B your amazing! My girlfriend and I brought our kitten Tiki here when we got her at around four weeks. Her mom was an outdoor/indoor cat so unfortunately she had fleas when we first got her. The vet and all the nurses loved her and told us all about the revolution product and it worked FANTASTIC. The Dr. has since been doing her vaccines, and we have been really happy with the service of the overall staff. The only reason we unfortunately won't get to use Pocono Peak is because we are relocating due to work. Otherwise, we would bring Tiki and any other pets in the future here in a heartbeat! I took my cat Carl to this vet for the first time. He was sick with a 105.7 fever :( they asked me and my husband what our price range was and stayed within our small budget. They gave him a shot to lower his temp and antibiotics. They were super nice, not only that but then a couple weeks later they sent a card in the mail with everyone wishing Carl the best and hoping he got better.
