This past week, I had to say goodbye to my late mother’s 16-year-old cat. I had rescued her 11 years ago to keep my mother company as she was confined to a hospital bed and had dementia for over three years. The cat was her constant companion and of course I kept her when my mother passed away nine years ago. As the cat’s health had recently declined, I made the difficult decision to send her home to be with my mom. Dr. Yard and her staff were amazing. They were all very understanding, sympathetic and compassionate. I couldn’t have asked for more. I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Durphy for my two dogs and have always been very happy with him as well.

Back at the vet with beau. To all my fur baby parents this facility is fabulous!!! Dr yard is amazing. And Ryan the vet tech is a sweetheart. Highly recommend this practice. This practice is very new to the location (5 weeks or so) Dr Thomas retired and Dr Yard has taken over the practice. Google Dr Yard, she is very experienced in emergency care. York road vet care is her second location. She also operates wissahickon creek animal hospital. The hours of operation are great and the staff is so caring. Very reasonable too.

We have been coming to see Dr. Thomas for more than 20 years! His staff is always effecient, pleasant and reassuring. His fees are a reflection on how much he cares for animals. We have had several pets neutered and have had many well care visits. We've also seen the urgency of care for a sick dog, who had cancer and ultimately needed care beyond what his office could provide. Not a second was wasted and recommendations to see a specialist were set up. I would most certainly recommend calling the office and making an appointment if you are in need of a great veterinary doctor!

Dr. Thomas is the best vet I've ever been to... My dog was having seizures and paralysis and we were expecting the the worst. We called the office and Dr. Thomas asked us to come in immediately. His staff was professional, the office was clean and easy to find with lots of parking. He gently, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem and started meds immediately, and ordered tests to confirm.... When the results came in, it confirmed what he thought - and luckily our pup had already started the correct meds. Thanks to his quick diagnosis, our pet is 100% again. Dr. Thomas is now our full time vet, permanently.

This past week, I had to say goodbye to my late mother’s 16-year-old cat. I had rescued her 11 years ago to keep my mother company as she was confined to a hospital bed and had dementia for over three years. The cat was her constant companion and of course I kept her when my mother passed away nine years ago. As the cat’s health had recently declined, I made the difficult decision to send her home to be with my mom. Dr. Yard and her staff were amazing. They were all very understanding, sympathetic and compassionate. I couldn’t have asked for more. I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Durphy for my two dogs and have always been very happy with him as well.

We have been coming to see Dr. Thomas for more than 20 years! His staff is always effecient, pleasant and reassuring. His fees are a reflection on how much he cares for animals. We have had several pets neutered and have had many well care visits.
