Animal Hospital of Waterford

General Info
The friendly, small-town atmosphere is one thing that founder of the practice, Dr. Robert Bell was looking for when he decided to open the doors of this veterinary practice in May of 1997. Animal Hospital of Waterford, P.C., found its humble beginnings in a small, storefront office about ½ mile down the road from where the office now stands.
First providing services on plywood and a couple saw horses as an exam table (for some of our VERY first small animal clients), and a single large-animal work truck, our office has since grown to progressive, proactive, modern veterinary hospital with 3 full-time veterinarians on staff.
Our small animal hospital consists of 3 fully stocked exam rooms, a surgery suite, treatment and dental areas equipped with an ultrasonic dental unit and an electrocautery unit. A designated X-ray room with digital development equipment allows us to take and evaluate radiographs within minutes. Full, in-house Idexx laboratory equipment allows us to run blood samples in clinic and enables prompt treatment of critical cases, and we provide isoflurane anesthesia with complete biometric monitoring for all surgical procedures. All after hours emergency work for our small animal clientele is covered by the NWPA Pet Emergency Clinic in Erie, PA.
For our large animal clients, we have 2 fully-stocked, large-animal mobile veterinary units that are on the road full time, providing routine and emergency service to our clients throughout most of Erie County as well as parts of Crawford and Warren Counties in PA. We also cover part of Chautauqua County, NY. After hours emergency services are provided to our established large animal clientele via our very own paging network.

When my Maddie was in terrible distress, Dr Bell saw her as quickly as we could get her there in an unbelievable snowstorm, 5 ft and still snowing. She had GVD which happened and progressed so quickly. Dr Bell did all he could to save her, but she passed on his exam table. He and his staff are so compassionate. I received a beautiful sympathy card signed by everyone, including Dr. Bell, which I'll always cherish, and is stored with her collar, name tag, and her favorite toys. I know we'll meet again at the Rainbow Bridge, yet I feel her spirit always.
Our new puppy, Rocket, will be seeing Dr Bell soon!

Can't say enough about the staff and doctors here. They treated us and our elderly cat with such compassion and kindness. Dr. Imbur was very respectful of how we wanted to approach our cat's care during her declining health. When the time came to make hard decisions, the staff could not have been more patient, sensitive and kind. They really went above and beyond. We are forever grateful.

We have been coming to the Animal Hospital of Waterford for around 15 years now. Most of it has been routine thankfully. However, we just had an experience with our cats that was very nearly fatal. I truly believe Dr Melissa Szybleski(sp?) saved their lives Her constant care and frequent updates were amazing. From the Front Office to the veterinarian,the staff took exceptional care of our animals. I cannot thank you or recommend you enough.

We take our dog Boost, and our cat, Queenie, to Animal Hospital of Waterford. Our primary vet is Dr. Coleman (and we LOVE him), but we've seen Dr. Bell and Dr. Imbur, too. They are all wonderful. Very thorough, kind, compassionate and they take the time to answer your questions. The clinical and clerical staff are also wonderful. We love this office and would continue to bring our animals here even if we lived a hundred miles away. Thank you all for the loving care you have shown to our furbabies.

We have been using Animal Hospital of Waterford for years, sadly we needed to have our beloved Lab Nessa put to rest and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful! The love that they have for their furry friends is undeniable. The compassion shown to us and our Nessa helped to make a difficult day aliitle bit easier. I have trusted these amazing people with my fur kids for 4 years now and have never had any complaints. They have shown the utmost care and respect to my rats, both of my dogs, and my cat. In fact, my cat just had his neuter done there yesterday and today it's as though he never even had surgery! They are that amazing. On top of their amazing care of my animals, they are also very respectful and kind when the time comes to have a beloved pet put to rest. I've had two rats cross the rainbow bridge here and they were very gentle and very sympathetic. You really can't ask for better care and better attention to your pets. I highly recommend them!

When my Maddie was in terrible distress, Dr Bell saw her as quickly as we could get her there in an unbelievable snowstorm, 5 ft and still snowing. She had GVD which happened and progressed so quickly. Dr Bell did all he could to save her, but she passed on his exam table. He and his staff are so compassionate. Can't say enough about the staff and doctors here. They treated us and our elderly cat with such compassion and kindness. Dr. Imbur was very respectful of how we wanted to approach our cat's care during her declining health. In fact, my cat just had his neuter done there yesterday and today it's as though he never even had surgery! They are that amazing. On top of their amazing care of my animals, they are also very respectful and kind when the time comes to have a beloved pet put to rest.
