The West Newton Animal Clinic, previously Hope Veterinary, was purchased in May of 2015 from Dr William Hope. The current owners, Westmoreland Veterinary Associates, strive to deliver superior veterinary care to residents in and around West Newton, PA.

MY cat was really,really sick I thought she was a gonner and the young Dr. was concerned also, (they got her in the day I called)so he tried to save us sum money by doing the feline leukemia test first before all other bloodwork, THANK GOD she didn't have it. My cat immediately responded to the medication but about 4 days later she started sneezing every couple minutes the poor thing was miserable, I called and the Dr. got back to me in a timely matter (that day) and told me to stick with the antibiotics when he could have had me come in and charged me for another appt. 2 days later my kitty was fine! The visit was pricy but I think most are?

Dr. Hofmeister and Dr. Aiello are wonderful and compassionate about animals. It shows in their manner of dealing with them. Dr. Hofmeister treats our pup as if it were his own and Dr. Aiello is great with our cats. Just met Dr. Chez and he was friendly and knowledgeable also. And of course all the other staff need to be mentioned as well they all are very friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t take our animals anywhere else.

Dr. Aaron Hoffmeister (hope I spelled his name correctly) is the best, compassionate, caring, honest, and most patient vet I have ever known. My pet dog was very ill. She almost died. They immediately put my dog in on short notice (which is always the case). Dr. Hoffmeister treated her and was very confident that she would get back to normal again. I was scared to death for her, as she was seriously ill. He was right. He is very knowledgeable. She is all better now. His office even followed up with a call to see how she was doing! Not many vets do that! They return every call the same day, as well as their emails. In addition to this, he does not overcharge--at all! I thought my dog needed admitted with an IV, and he didn't feel that was necessary. If he was worried about the money, he would have taken advantage of this. If you want your pet in good hands, take them here. I am so thankful for this doctor and his staff, and couldn't be more grateful.

I would like to say that I was so pleased with the W. Newton Animal Clinic. I am from Annapolis Md. and needed to take my dog to get checked due to an injury. The staff couldn't have been more helpful from explaining everything to treating my dog with such kindness. Dr. Giacopetti was great. I wish we had vets like him in Annapolis. And his Tech. was great with my dog. Would highly recommend them. And pricing was very reasonable.Chris Sabol

It was a very easy transition from Dr Hope to Dr Hofmeister. The remodeling is wonderful. Very clean facility and professional staff. Always get the best care!

I took my Tucker (border collie) here for the first time to be groomed! I was nervous at first because I've always taken him to Petco where he was used to the normal grooming girls. The groomer that took care of him was so wonderful! She said he gave her no trouble at all (and I was worried because he is a hyper border collie). It was also cheaper than Petco and I got the same treatment I would have there! I would highly recommend the grooming service! I also plan to bring him here for vet visits in the future! Thanks so much, my Tucker looks and smells great!!

took my best friend in for a syst removal and a stay in their facility for recovery. I was told to pick her up in 3 days. I went to pick her up and was told i would have to go down to the basement which is where they board your pet. They said she was aggressive and I would have to get her. Ist of all it was damp with a leaking pipe and dark. I found my girl in the corner of this cage ,shivering and an open wound with several flies on it. I took her out of that hellhole and would never take any pet their again. Care is horrible,conditions deplorable and staff uncaring.

Took my Collie here yesterday for the first time. Dr Hope sold the practice to Dr. Aaron Hofmeister. I was very impressed with Dr. Aaron as he checked my dog very thoroughly. My dog started limping on her back foot and what I didn't know was that she was running a high fever. He did blood work for lyme's and did a CBC and X-rays. All I can say is I love my dog and never want to lose her and will do anything to keep her alive and healthy. Dr. Aaron and Rebecca treated my dog with loving care.

VERY UNHAPPY. yesterday my two cats received very simple, everyday surgeries by dr. hope. the girl, Lily, was declawed and her brother, tuck, was delawed and neutered. these are kittens, they are only 5 months. these people killed Lily by giving her too much medicine. NEVER take any animals to this vet.

Dr. Hope has always provided exceptional care to my dogs over the years. Even though I've moved several times and have visited closer vets, I find myself driving 50 minutes to his office whenever my dogs need their annual vaccinations, check-ups, or are having problems. His straight-forward attitude and simple explanations always leave me exiting with 'no further questions', as everything has been explained. He won't hide the truth and he doesn't sugar-coat anything. A very good, solid vet. Hard to find ones like this!

I took my Tucker (border collie) here for the first time to be groomed! I was nervous at first because I've always taken him to Petco where he was used to the normal grooming girls. The groomer that took care of him was so wonderful! She said he gave her no trouble at all (and I was worried because he is a hyper border collie). It was also cheaper than Petco and I got the same treatment I would have there! I would highly recommend the grooming service! I also plan to bring him here for vet visits in the future!
