Should give them no stars as each and every time they tell me that my dogs need an exam over and over when they have been there many times for sick visits and other, told today that my dogs have not been seen since 2017!!!! when I had my older dog examined and given a rabies shot this year on 4/22 when he was due, now they are due for more vaccines and they tell me that they have to be examined. Maybe they think I threw the receipts away, but fact is that I have them. My older dog had a well exam on 6/14/18 with vaccines at a cost of 145.78. When he had his rabies vaccine in June this year a "doctor directed exam" was done instead, and today they tell me that for any boosters they have to have a doctor's exam. On 4/22/19 I was charged 119.45 just for my oldest. On 6/14/18 they also saw my youngest dog for boosters no mention of a required exam and I paid an additional 37.45. Now they need a leptospirosis vaccine and they want to have both of them examined, when they were recently examined at another facility for boarding. They will not transfer the records nor will they get a copy of them. They want me to do everything there from scratch as though my two dogs have had nothing done whatsoever. If my doctor told me that I am going to be charged for a whole new exam because he/she does not take another practicing physicians records of an exam, I would flip. That is exactly what I did, told the person on the phone what she could do. Not going there any longer. Does anyone monitor these clinics at all??? This is robbery. Bye money loving jerks.

DONT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE. I told them my dogs were stolen and reported them stolen and they let the person who stole them bring them in for a year without contacting me and just made a new account for them. When I emailed them confronting them of the situation they ignored me. My dogs came home very overweight and bugs bites all over. They weren't on any monthly preventatives either so now I must wait and home their heartworm results come back negative. I am so glad to finally have my dogs home where they belong but I'm disgusted these disgusting "vets" allowed this to happen. Spare your family the pain and don't bring your dog here.

Dr Rando, the "vet" there is a pushy , "do it my way," vet. I honestly think she's nuts. (My opinion.) Recommends everything for your dogs to drive up that bill and baits you with a free first visit. Bad experiences on a consistent basis with her not sitting back & listening..not a calm lady..felt very uncomfortable with her interactions with us, our dogs and her recommendations were so wrong as well as her different answers to same questions. She knows squat in our opinion. Something didn't feel right with her.
Very poor quality doctor in our opinion and spoke to two others who left there through YELP app who felt same. Also extremely expensive loves to drive the bill up with recommending this that and the other. We left after just after a few months. There is no way this place received all these 5 stars. Put the real reviews first.

I was using VCA for my vet for only a few months when I boarded Riley here. When I came to get him he smelled of urine and his collar was almost completely chewed off. I changed vets immediately and pulled all his records. The records from VCA support what I thought - he was left alone in a crate for over 36 hours because no one came to care for him on Sunday. He now has recurring UTI and severe separation anxiety. DONT BOARD HERE.

I love everyone at VCA Atwood. We have taken our dog here since we adopted him almost 4 years ago, and now we recently began taking the orphaned kitten we rescued. The vet techs ALWAYS remember me, and my doggie, and they shower him with love. On top of the positive atmosphere every vet we have seen (with incredible emphasis on Dr. Z) always takes the time to explain things and relate to me, no matter what my question. I feel as though I am getting very good care, and from people who are all so wonderful. I can't recommend this team enough.

We have been using this animal hospital for at least 7+ years. I have had pets for over 50 years and have used many vets. I have boarded my dogs here and I have had one dog put to rest here. The staff are compassionate and friendly but most importantly, my dogs will go to them even with me in the room...that speaks volumes. When I had to put my baby girl to sleep, they were beyond caring and sympathetic. They created a truly therapeutic environment, gave us the time we needed, did little touches to make my girl comfortable. They even sent us the most beautiful card with her paw prints and pieces of her hair which I still have. I have had to bring two other dogs to be put to rest and never received the quality of care and treatment VCA provided.
The vets explain every detail as well as the options available. As for the cost, I do not find them any more expensive than other vets and in some cases more reasonable. I spend a bit because I do the 6 month blood work for my senior dogs. They get regular check ups just like my husband and I have. Considering that much of animal medicine is based on human medicine, the cost is no where near what my physicians and hospital charge for many of the same procedures. Check out you medical bills...the ones you don't pay because your insurance pays.
I highly recommend VCA and am thankful that I have them to turn to when my pups are hurting. Thank you for your exceptional service.

My pup had a broken leg and they started telling me he needs this and that shot every month "listen lady I AM HERE FOR HIS LEG!" then they MADE me purchase a 4 day pain medication supply for 30.25 when he was not in pain. When a pup waggles his tail and licks he is NOT in pain only when he put weight on it he yelps. They charged my sister 150 for eye drops for her cocker spaniel come on people! go else where! these people WANT EVERY PENNY off you and money hungry they dont care about your pet they care whats in your wallet

DONT TAKE YOUR DOGS HERE. I told them my dogs were stolen and reported them stolen and they let the person who stole them bring them in for a year without contacting me and just made a new account for them. When I emailed them confronting them of the situation they ignored me. My dogs came home very overweight and bugs bites all over. They weren't on any monthly preventatives either so now I must wait and home their heartworm results come back negative. I am so glad to finally have my dogs home where they belong but I'm disgusted these disgusting "vets" allowed this to happen. Spare your family the pain and don't bring your dog here.

I was using VCA for my vet for only a few months when I boarded Riley here. When I came to get him he smelled of urine and his collar was almost completely chewed off. I changed vets immediately and pulled all his records. The records from VCA support what I thought - he was left alone in a crate for over 36 hours because no one came to care for him on Sunday. He now has recurring UTI and severe separation anxiety. DONT BOARD HERE.

I love everyone at VCA Atwood. We have taken our dog here since we adopted him almost 4 years ago, and now we recently began taking the orphaned kitten we rescued. The vet techs ALWAYS remember me, and my doggie, and they shower him with love. On top of the positive atmosphere every vet we have seen (with incredible emphasis on Dr. Z) always takes the time to explain things and relate to me, no matter what my question. I feel as though I am getting very good care, and from people who are all so wonderful. I can't recommend this team enough.
