Our beagle has been a patient of Dr. Chyten for over 8 years. Unfortunately, she is prone to disc rupture due to IVDD and has endured three back surgeries in the past four years. After each surgery, Dr. Chyten has offered acupuncture therapy as an additional tool in her recovery arsenal. We were reluctant after the first two surgeries but after the third surgery decided to give it a try. Our only fear was that she wouldn't tolerate it. Dr. Chyten was wonderful in the trial session and our girl did well, surprising us all. She has remained on an acupuncture regimen for over 8 months and now only really needs it for maintenance. We truly believe that the acupuncture therapy, at least in our case, has substantially enhanced her recovery and overall well being since her last surgery. She thrives today despite the significant obstacles of her past. This added service by Dr. Chyten and the incredible support by the GBAH staff continue to give us peace of mind that our Sydney remains in great hands. Read Less

The best animal hospital in Rhode Island! We have been taking our dog, Maggie, and our cat, Sadie, to Greenwich Bay for over ten years. Maggie has had many medical issues and Dr. Chyten has always been caring, attentive, and informative. We honestly do not know what we would do with Maggie and her issues without him. You should also ask him about his Western medicine approach to treating your pet. Sadie is such a sweet heart at home and then she walks through the hospital doors and she becomes the cat from hell. Dr. Labriola has been more than patient and caring with her. About a year ago, Sadie was not doing so well and Dr. Labriola found that she had some issues with her teeth. We decided to go through with the dentistry and they texted us through the entire procedure and let us know how she was doing and asked if we wanted to go through with each step. Sadie is 17 years old and she has a new lease on life! All of the staff are so warm and welcoming. Brenda and Amanda always make us feel comfortable and make us smile. Bill, the hospital manager, has been nothing than amazing to us and is always helpful and goes above and beyond for Maggie and Sadie. Overall, we highly recommend that you bring your "babies" to Greenwich Bay Animal Hospital. Read Less

Great Vets, great staff, always responsive, always have what I need when I need it, and their fees are fair. My cats are healthy and when I had an older cat that became ill, they knew when to refer us to specialists and didn't churn us for money with unnecessary tests and procedures. They were compassionate when she passed away and reached out to us personally. They always make follow up phone calls to monitor your pet's progress while on medication. Excellent staff and service!
