My parents have been loyal clients at Northern Rhode Island Animal Hospital for over 20 years, many of which I actually worked there myself. Unfortunately, they are no longer going to use them as their vet because Jeff Logan, the owner, "fired" them as clients. Recently their dog was having a few problems, so they took her in and followed doctors advice, having some tests done. There were issues from the start; unexplained waiting, test results being released (before doctor review) by the "tech" and "receptionist", delay in response due to doctor vacation, higher than quoted bills, etc. After much debate, they decided to take her for a second opinion. This was difficult as the staff had been trusted "friends" and providers to our pets for so long. Our appreciation for Dr. Ster remains, she is fantastic and we'll always be grateful for her. There was never an intention to bad mouth, burn bridges, or permanently leave NRIAH. Yet immediately after requesting records transferred to North Paws, they received an incredibly rude letter, stating false accusations, requesting they not return to NRIAH per Jeff. He didn't call them to discuss the conflicts, address the staff for their unprofessional manner, or take any action retain devoted clients. Instead, he decided to treat them like garbage. The biggest part in his reasoning is because of the ongoing jealousy he holds for Marc Paradise, owner of the beautiful new vet they were happily welcomed to. This story is sad and has shocked us, but has a happy ending as my parents and their dog are being treated right now. If you were looking for a hospital that cares mainly about bringing in money, seeing new faces more often than not because of the turnover rate, and being unappreciated as a client by the owner, you found the right place in Northern Rhode Island Animal Hospital. Good Luck!Read Less
