Dr. Harris has been great - we just moved to Newport and brought our two VERY different cats in. One cat is very sick and has been challenging to diagnose - Dr. Harris walked us through everything she was thinking and doing, and was very sweet and kind (but firm) with our sick cat who was not being very nice. I just moved to Newport and needed a vet for my asthmatic cat, who also needed her shots.  I had adored my previous vet in Seekonk, so letting her go was hard.  But I saw good reviews on Yelp for Dr. Harris, and she is only a few blocks from where I live, so eventually I gave her a try.I am so very glad I did!  Dr. Harris is just superb with cats, very knowledgeable, and a friendly, charming woman.  I cannot believe the almost preternaturally savvy way she has with cats.  My cat was handled with such expertise and sensitivity that it very much minimized her stress.  Furthermore, the fact that there were no dog smells in the clinic made visiting so much less upsetting.  When I brought my cat home, she was quite calm.I got super advice from the doctor and found out a number of bits of helpful information for handling my girl's teeth, diet and environment.  All in all, it was a great pleasure, and I cannot recommend her more highly.(PS: there was a negative review here that initially put me off.  Funny how that is what I took away, and not the other glowing encomia.  I did not have any of the negative experiences described, so I would take that review with a grain of salt.  Sometimes a sick cat makes us fractious.) I brought my cat here for yearly vaccinations. By the time I walked out, I spent over $300.00 for exam, rabies, distemper and feline leukemia vaccines. Had to do some Bartonella test due to teeth, antibiotics, wanted to schedule dental surgery, for another  $300.00 plus. She talks non stop and seems she really doesn't care about what she is doing, some chip on her shoulder with horses. Hot as hell in the office and  mentioned a break in and no ventilation, wouldn't leave my cat there for any prolonged stay. You have to go from one floor to another, very outdated and locals says she can't keep Techs or clients. Know a couple of women that worked for her from Newport and just walked off the job. Doctor Harris has saved the lives of both of my family cats. I can wholeheartedly recommend her practice. I would like to add that if your vet recommends rabies for your indoor cats, please consider getting them inoculated. My indoor cats got their shots, and weeks later one of them killed a bat in my house while we slept. I couldn't be any happier with the care my cat received at Kitty Corner. Dr. Harris is absolutely wonderful... you can instantly see & feel how much she cares for all her patients. The small clinic is adorable and I absolutely love that it is cats only. There are a few street parking spots out front, and a small parking lot behind the building. The lobby and main examination room are on the first floor, and they have a second floor which houses more services. I came in on a semi-emergency basis when my cat developed a problem with her eye. I originally made an appointment for the next afternoon, but in the morning her eye problem had escalated... Liz at the front desk was super helpful and got us in by 9am! They were so caring and gentle with my cat while they examined her. Dr. Harris knew right away what the problem must be and tests confirmed quickly. She relieved my cats pain with a few drops and updated all her vaccinations. I also received great instruction on how to administer the new medications. A week later my cat is back to her normal happy self! We will definitely be returning to Kitty Corner for our yearly exams and any other problems that may arise. Read Less
