Being a bit new to the area, we felt like it was a sign that our new home was so close to a veterinary spot that specializes in cats. Our senior 'furchild' had a health scare last year that has kept us on (very expensive) eggshells for months, so having a close cat doctor takes a little bit of the edge off. Our first visit to City Kitty was a few weeks ago, and we were really impressed by the friendliness and organization of the staff. They were casual and kind, and always professional. We loved our vet back in Brooklyn, NY, however there was always "a lot" going on in the lobby/waiting area. Loud, lots of animals, payment transactions, vet/client conversations, etc. It was disruptive even for humans, so I'm sure it was stressful for the animals, too. City Kitty was practically the opposite. It was quiet and relaxing. A great environment. Both of the people that assisted us (including the vet) were friendly, helpful, and gave us some tips on helping our cat adjust to our new home, and pointed out some things to look for, and preventable medicinal options that may help. It never felt like a sales gimmick. It felt like it came from a place of insight and experience. We appreciated their input. Our cat (aaaaaalwaaaaaays an angel at the vet, thank you) was treated very well, and received a thorough examination - and a couple of needed shots. Some reviews on here mention the high prices of City Kitty, and I do agree. Our cat needed a few things done that day - and some take-home meds - so it was a bit of money (or rather, on par with our NYC vet). Even the person who presented our bill sorta warned us and said, "Sooooo, it's a lot today. A little expensive." I truly appreciated the warning, especially as a first-time customer. It shows that they're at least sympathetic to the high cost of animal care. Besides, I'd be concerned about getting "a bargain" on medical care for my cat. In cases like City Kitty, you do get what you pay for. Read Less
