General Info
Dr. Sharon Doolittle graduated from Michigan State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. She was originally an equine practitioner based in Rhode Island. Now, Dr. Doolittle concentrates exclusively on holistic animal healthcare, including Nutrition Response Testing, Applied Kinesiology, Animal Chiropractic, Clinical Nutrition, and other alternative therapies for dogs, cats, and horses.
Dr. Doolittle has received extensive training in holistic healthcare through post-graduate courses and seminars since 1999. She was the first veterinarian in the country to have received her certification for Advanced Clinical Training in Nutrition Response Testing out of the handful that are currently certified. Dr. Doolittle has also lectured extensively on holistic animal healthcare both to animal owners, and to other veterinarians, and has taught at the advanced animal chiropractic seminars at Options for Animals.
Dr. Doolittle has written articles for Aspire Magazine, Dog Fancy, Animal Wellness and Spirit of Change. She has been a guest on WPRO-AM and WBLQ FM radio in RI, and has done a television show on holistic animal healthcare for the program “What’s the Alternative?” which airs on the Dish Network.

Very caring and knowledgeable holistic veterinarian, my dog has congestive heart failure and following her supplement guidelines, he has had no further disease progression in over a year vs a neighbor whose same size/age dog was also diagnosed with CHF a year ago, on the same medications, who died of a heart attack a few months ago... if you want your dogs to be the healthiest and happiest and have the best life they can then Sharon Doolittle DVM is a must

DR Doolittle has been caring for my girl, Abracadabra, since I got her at 8 weeks, prior to Abra she cared for my girl, Joy, her mother, Kiora and her auntie Star, so that alone speaks for itself!

Sharon Doolittle has treated my dogs for more than eight years. She is knowledgeable in both conventional medicine and holistic medicine. If your tired of the conventional medical merry-go-round, she is your guide. She helped us tailor treatment to each dog's individual needs including dietary recommendations, and our dogs did well under her care. She always worked with us, not like some other clinics that won't treat you if you don't have the money up front. We highly recommend her.

At first appointment I was really optimistic about my dogs treatment. I am extremely disappointed now that my dog experienced some dangerous symptoms over the weekend and the dr was unreachable. My d...
At first appointment I was really optimistic about my dogs treatment. I am extremely disappointed now that my dog experienced some dangerous symptoms over the weekend and the dr was unreachable. My dogs primary doctor wants to do surgery or a revolving door of antibiotics and laxatives. I came to this doctor for a different option. Talking to one of her office people today, I was more disappointed to learn she doesn't even have an email she can check on the weekend for "high risk patients". When a doctor transitions person or pet off meds and on supplements it's my professional opinion that the dr should be available to navigate difficulty, and according to Dr Doolittle's staff that's not an option. I am a strong believer in holistic healing, being a Kinesiogist myself, it just makes me really uncomfortable that I am navigating the weekend solo unless I want to go back to the traditional vet I left in the first place.

Dr Sharon Doolittle extended my dear sweet dog, Gabe's life almost another year. When we walked in her door he could barely stand and couldn't shake without tipping over. At 13 years of age I thought for certain there was nothing that could be done for him. WoW was I wrong!! Within weeks he was walking and was getting around and no longer tipping over. It would never have been possible without her. I tell everyone that will listen this should be the first stop for you and your pet. She will set you on the right path and will ensure your pet will have a very long, healthy, happy life. Thank you for all you do.

Very caring and knowledgeable holistic veterinarian, my dog has congestive heart failure and following her supplement guidelines, he has had no further disease progression in over a year vs a neighbor whose same size/age dog was also diagnosed with CHF a year ago, on the same medications, who died of a heart attack a few months ago... if you want your dogs to be the healthiest and happiest and have the best life they can then Sharon Doolittle DVM is a must

Sharon Doolittle has treated my dogs for more than eight years. She is knowledgeable in both conventional medicine and holistic medicine. If your tired of the conventional medical merry-go-round, she is your guide. She helped us tailor treatment to each dog's individual needs including dietary recommendations, and our dogs did well under her care. She always worked with us, not like some other clinics that won't treat you if you don't have the money up front. We highly recommend her.

At first appointment I was really optimistic about my dogs treatment. I am extremely disappointed now that my dog experienced some dangerous symptoms over the weekend and the dr was unreachable. My dogs primary doctor wants to do surgery or a revolving door of antibiotics and laxatives. I came to this doctor for a different option.
