If you love your animal as I do please avoid this place at all costs!
When I adopted my dog he was already a patient at Titan, being a new dog owner I decided to keep him there because I didn’t have any reasons to suspect they weren’t a great place. In the beginning the visits were normal, he’d go in and get his shots and we’d be on our way. I will say the staff was never warm or friendly, it definitely felt like they just went through the motions and didn’t have any real connection to the animals or owners.
In November I made my dogs appointment for his yearly visit and boosters. I was left to wait for an hour to even be seen, which I understand sometimes we fall behind, but when I went in the room the vet came in and wanted to put him on the exam table. I explained that my dog does not do well on the table seeing as he’s 80pds and it’s pretty unnatural for him to be in the air. The vet John Dennigan informed me he has bad knees and my dog needed to be placed on the table for the exam. I obviously went with it, while on the exam table my dog was horrified (like I knew he would be) and the vet made a joke about how he was so scared he was going to have a heart attack. During his exam I asked for the vet to check a lump on my dogs back leg that was really concerning me, he told me it was too small to test anything and to simply bring him back if it changes. I felt that was reassuring and if he wasn’t concerned that was a great sign.
Well ... last week I noticed a change in the lump and called to set up an appt, at the time I made the appt I requested he not be placed on the table again and I was told it’s hospital policy, so that was it for me! I called a new vet and moved him there, today after his exam the nothing to worry about bump is a mast cell tumor! The new vet also informed me that the previous vet at Titan noted that he thought it might be a mast cell tumor and NEVER TOLD ME!!! How can you suspect a dog had a possible tumor and not communicate that to the owner! I feel so angry, sad, and disappointed that I entrusted my best friend to a place that had zero regard for him or me!
I am so happy that I keep an eye on my dog and that I let my instincts guide me in the right direction.
I didn’t realize how awful Titan is until I had a great experience somewhere else. Read Less
