Our dog loves Dr. Bob. When we tell her she's going to him she becomes very excited. He gives her expert care and treats her as if she were his own.

We have been patients of Dr. Bob through 3 dogs and 3 cats.  We started going there when we adopted a black Lab named Buddy Joe.  The pound sent us there for neutering and shots.  When Buddy Joe was about 11, he got very, very sick and as it was the weekend I took him to the emergency animal hospital in EG.  They said his bowels had burst and he was septic.  I waited to put him down as my kids were away.  The next day we decided to take him to Dr. Bob to put him down.  Dr. Bob kept him for 3 days and the dog was FINE.  He lived another 2 years.  Our next dog was a large rescue Boxer, who was found starving and with heartworm.  Dr. Bob gave him the heartworm cure and he went into anaphalactic shock, so he treated him with "plan B", and after a couple of years he was free of heartworm.  Our latest dog we got as a puppy and he had some bladder problems - Dr. Bob tried this and that and he now is fine.We love the staff and Dr. Bob - they treat our pets well and charge very reasonable fees.  I recommend them to everyone! Dr. Bob is by far the best vet I have ever experienced- previously went to another in Charlestown- he wouldn't lift my dog onto his table because he didn't want to hurt his back since he was headed to Florida to golf the next day!! I couldn't life my 75 lb dog so he proceeds to inject him with a hypodermic needle and the dog starts running around the room with a needle still in him- Vet tells ME I need to get him so he can get the needle out--- Seriously?  So- off we went to Dr. Bob who is the most passionate, caring person and Beau loves him! Don't know what we'll do if he ever retires. Read Less
