They have been wonderful with me. From diagnosing my Mexican hairless with epilepsy and saving he life with meds, working with my senior dog and his tumors/ cancer to having compassion as I cried ugly because the little pup I rescued out of the ditch in Langley, S.C who had been hit by a car and left to die needed to be put to sleep. I have 11 pups in total and trust their lives in Silverbluff's hands. I highly recommend this place. They are very professional and knowledgeable.

The staff are so kind at Silver Bluff Animal Hospital. We took our dog there initially for his needed rabies vaccine. Plus, he got a good physical while there. Also, they were able to see my pup (almost 10) on short notice when he got sick and were able to help him feel better-now he is on the road to recovery. Their hours are very convenient, and they always seem to answer the phone! Ample parking, convenient location. They clearly really care about animals and I am thankful to have them as our vet for our little dog.

Just awful. It was during the sick walk-in hours.

Pete passed away on Saturday!!! As long as this callous woman is working there, I will NEVER use their service. Charlie Timmerman, still manages his clinic, and had I known, I would have called him. Not once, but on several occasions, when one of my babies was suffering, no matter the day or time, he (Charlie Timmerman) would call me immediately, and tell me he would meet me in 10 minutes. I am not speaking about the Vets, but this creature is in the wrong profession, and definitely NOT who you want to assist you, in your babies time of need!!! Betsy Ward

I have been taking my three dogs to them for a year. I moved to Aiken one year ago and I have been very pleased with the service. They just had a wellness exam with a newer vet there named Dr. Hann. He was very attentive and told us what was needed to improve our dogs lifestyle which included dental cleaning for one and a couple of pounds to lose for another. It was individualized and not generic. I could not have asked for more.

They got us in within the hour even though I'd never been there before.I can't say enough about the time spent with us discussing options. The Dr and the tech were exceptional. I'll never forget them for being there for my elderly pup and me. I will take future pets there for care.

We have taken all of our Babies to Silver Bluff since we moved here from Rochester, NY, May 2000. We have adopted, fostered many, many kittens, puppies, hamster, ferret, etc. Dr. Hurd and his staff have been so accommodating and professional. Costs of pet care are reasonable and competitive with Aiken Veterinarians. The office staff are patient and calm ,even when I came screaming in with the little love of my life, he had to be euthanized, I thought I would lose my mind, they were gentle and respectful, caring for my Baby right up until his last breath.

Took our two girls into him and before he even laid eyes on them our bill was over $400. I had to pick up one of the dogs put her on the exam table and tell him he needed to put stethoscope on her and there was NO way I was paying him over $200. When I call for med refill... he won't fill it because he wants another visit! HA.... not happening! Frank was nothing like this... so sad he is no longer there. Safe to say we won't be back.

I love this vet! There are several vets who are closer, but I rather go here over all of them. Awhile back my dog stopped eating and I knew exactly what was wrong. I knew she had parvovirus. I tried every vet in North Augusta and no one would see her without an appointment! I was panicking and started trying vets in Aiken. They took her in even though they were packed! They even clean the spot she sat in immediately, and took her to an isolated room. They were reasonably priced too! My dog is alive and well thanks to this place!

Coming from a Vet Student- I've been here twice and come to the conclusion that the female vet has absolutely no idea what she is talking about. Very ignorant in her treatments and extremely judgmental. My family has volunteered at kitten rescues for over 25 years, and the women claimed my mother fed the kitten wrong and wanted my mother to sign it into her custody. The vet has never raised a kitten and I assure you the feeding was not the problem, as I work at another vet clinic out of town and brought home some dewormer that fixed the problem in days. She didn't even take the time to do an accurate fecal but she sure did charge her for it. Extremely incompitent in her advice, as well as inaccurate and exagerates issues. If you don't want to be told that all of your animals problems are your fault based on care when really they are medical and if you dont want to have issues that are exaggerated (as it was with my dog) then go elsewhere!!!!!!!!

When we had to put our Dalmatian Daisy to rest, it was the hardest thing we ever had to do and SBAH was sensitive to our emotions that day and even sent us a card in the mail signed by all the staff with their condolences. We will never take our animals anywhere else!!

The doctor is amazing. Her lady at the front desk with short blonde hair is the rudest, unprofessional, nasty person I have had to meet in a long time. It's sad that because of her they are losing customers. She clearly isn't informed with her job, the legal aspects of making up rules on the fly. There are legal consequences for her fraudulent charges she is making up. Unfortunately, the great doctor will be the one to ultimately pay for it.

Silver Bluff Animal Hospital is, by far, the BEST animal hospital in Aiken. The staff is cordial and no matter how busy they are, they treat you with respect and patience. Dr. Santos cared for our beagle with loving care and expertise. He was a patient there for 18 years! My entire family takes their dogs to SBAH. We will never go anywhere else.

I took my dog here because she was not eating regularly. l I had taken her temperature the night before and it was a little high, so they took her temperature. Dr. Santos said that she didn't have a fever, gave her a brief look over, said she was in heat and sometimes that happens. A month later, my dog died. She continued to eat sporadically, but I thought it was because she was still in heat. In hindsight, I should have taken her somewhere else. I've had another incident where another doctor told me that my dog probably had cancer and would have to be put down, and a week later, the "tumor" was gone. Silver Bluff will not be getting anymore $$ from me, and I will not recommend them to anyone else.

We recently moved to Aiken and had to find a new Vet. I loved our Vet in Greenville and was worried about finding someone else who lived up to those standards. This place did not make me feel any better. Before I go any farther, in order to choose our new Vet, I asked everyone I knew in Aiken with a pet who their Vet was. I asked a whole other list of questions and based on that I chose Silver Bluff. Mistake. I called and set up a yearly appointment for my dog. I had no problem getting an appointment. The girl I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I felt great when I got off the phone. The next week it became clear that we were going to need to go in to have my dog's anal gland expressed. It was not going to be able to wait for our April appointment. So I called and asked if I could bring him in. They told me yes - but that I would need an appointment. ( I never had to make an appointment for this with my old vet. I would call take him in and they would do it. It only takes about 30 seconds- a Vet Tech does it.) So, I made an appointment for early that afternoon. I took him in, arriving 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork . Then we waited, and waited and waited. they took everyone who came in after me, they were not apologetic for my wait, etc. We waited almost an hour. FINALLY a Vet Tech called us back and did the deed. It took 30 seconds. I went to checkout and nearly passed out. They had Charged me $17.50 to have the anal gland expressed. That is ROBBERY! I paid 9 dollars at my old Vet. I told them that they had just charged me almost double what I was use to paying and it was outrageous. The girls at the desk just looked at me. $17.50 for an anal gland expression? I bet they charge a fortune to actually see the Vet!! Needless to say I got a new recommendation for another Vet in Aiken and I am hoping to call and make a yearly checkup appointment and have a better experience.

Their hours are very convenient, and they always seem to answer the phone! Ample parking, convenient location. They clearly really care about animals and I am thankful to have them as our vet for our little dog.

Just awful. It was during the sick walk-in hours.

Pete passed away on Saturday!!! As long as this callous woman is working there, I will NEVER use their service. Charlie Timmerman, still manages his clinic, and had I known, I would have called him. Not once, but on several occasions, when one of my babies was suffering, no matter the day or time, he (Charlie Timmerman) would call me immediately, and tell me he would meet me in 10 minutes. I have been taking my three dogs to them for a year. I moved to Aiken one year ago and I have been very pleased with the service. They just had a wellness exam with a newer vet there named Dr. Hann. He was very attentive and told us what was needed to improve our dogs lifestyle which included dental cleaning for one and a couple of pounds to lose for another. It was individualized and not generic. I could not have asked for more.

They got us in within the hour even though I'd never been there before.I can't say enough about the time spent with us discussing options. The Dr and the tech were exceptional. I'll never forget them for being there for my elderly pup and me. I will take future pets there for care.

We have taken all of our Babies to Silver Bluff since we moved here from Rochester, NY, May 2000. We have adopted, fostered many, many kittens, puppies, hamster, ferret, etc. Dr. Hurd and his staff have been so accommodating and professional. Costs of pet care are reasonable and competitive with Aiken Veterinarians. The office staff are patient and calm ,even when I came screaming in with the little love of my life, he had to be euthanized, I thought I would lose my mind, they were gentle and respectful, caring for my Baby right up until his last breath.

Took our two girls into him and before he even laid eyes on them our bill was over $400. I had to pick up one of the dogs put her on the exam table and tell him he needed to put stethoscope on her and there was NO way I was paying him over $200. When I call for med refill... he won't fill it because he wants another visit! HA.... not happening! Frank was nothing like this... so sad he is no longer there. Safe to say we won't be back.

I love this vet! There are several vets who are closer, but I rather go here over all of them. Awhile back my dog stopped eating and I knew exactly what was wrong. I knew she had parvovirus. I tried every vet in North Augusta and no one would see her without an appointment! I was panicking and started trying vets in Aiken. They took her in even though they were packed! They even clean the spot she sat in immediately, and took her to an isolated room. They were reasonably priced too! My dog is alive and well thanks to this place!

Coming from a Vet Student- I've been here twice and come to the conclusion that the female vet has absolutely no idea what she is talking about. Very ignorant in her treatments and extremely judgmental. My family has volunteered at kitten rescues for over 25 years, and the women claimed my mother fed the kitten wrong and wanted my mother to sign it into her custody. The vet has never raised a kitten and I assure you the feeding was not the problem, as I work at another vet clinic out of town and brought home some dewormer that fixed the problem in days. She didn't even take the time to do an accurate fecal but she sure did charge her for it. Extremely incompitent in her advice, as well as inaccurate and exagerates issues. If you don't want to be told that all of your animals problems are your fault based on care when really they are medical and if you dont want to have issues that are exaggerated (as it was with my dog) then go elsewhere!!!!!!!!

When we had to put our Dalmatian Daisy to rest, it was the hardest thing we ever had to do and SBAH was sensitive to our emotions that day and even sent us a card in the mail signed by all the staff with their condolences. We will never take our animals anywhere else!!

It's sad that because of her they are losing customers. She clearly isn't informed with her job, the legal aspects of making up rules on the fly. There are legal consequences for her fraudulent charges she is making up. Unfortunately, the great doctor will be the one to ultimately pay for it.

Silver Bluff Animal Hospital is, by far, the BEST animal hospital in Aiken. The staff is cordial and no matter how busy they are, they treat you with respect and patience. Dr. Santos cared for our beagle with loving care and expertise. He was a patient there for 18 years! My entire family takes their dogs to SBAH. We will never go anywhere else.

I took my dog here because she was not eating regularly. l I had taken her temperature the night before and it was a little high, so they took her temperature. Dr. Santos said that she didn't have a fever, gave her a brief look over, said she was in heat and sometimes that happens. A month later, my dog died. She continued to eat sporadically, but I thought it was because she was still in heat. In hindsight, I should have taken her somewhere else. I've had another incident where another doctor told me that my dog probably had cancer and would have to be put down, and a week later, the "tumor" was gone. Silver Bluff will not be getting anymore $$ from me, and I will not recommend them to anyone else.

We recently moved to Aiken and had to find a new Vet. I loved our Vet in Greenville and was worried about finding someone else who lived up to those standards. This place did not make me feel any better. Before I go any farther, in order to choose our new Vet, I asked everyone I knew in Aiken with a pet who their Vet was. I asked a whole other list of questions and based on that I chose Silver Bluff. Mistake. I called and set up a yearly appointment for my dog. I had no problem getting an appointment. The girl I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I felt great when I got off the phone. The next week it became clear that we were going to need to go in to have my dog's anal gland expressed. It was not going to be able to wait for our April appointment. So I called and asked if I could bring him in. They told me yes - but that I would need an appointment. ( I never had to make an appointment for this with my old vet. I would call take him in and they would do it. It only takes about 30 seconds- a Vet Tech does it.) So, I made an appointment for early that afternoon. I took him in, arriving 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork . Then we waited, and waited and waited. they took everyone who came in after me, they were not apologetic for my wait, etc. We waited almost an hour. FINALLY a Vet Tech called us back and did the deed. It took 30 seconds. I went to checkout and nearly passed out. They had Charged me $17.50 to have the anal gland expressed. That is ROBBERY! I paid 9 dollars at my old Vet. I told them that they had just charged me almost double what I was use to paying and it was outrageous. The girls at the desk just looked at me. $17.50 for an anal gland expression? I bet they charge a fortune to actually see the Vet!! Needless to say I got a new recommendation for another Vet in Aiken and I am hoping to call and make a yearly checkup appointment and have a better experience.
