These people are awful. Don’t bring your animals here. I’ve Been a customer going on 5 yrs now. I brought my cats and my dog here but never again. My German shepherd cut his foot and was bleeding like a water fountain, blood was gushing out like crazy. I begged them to take my dog in over the phone as I was driving to Aiken fro m Salley Sc .and because it was near closing time they addimittly refused to help me even though they had a vet on hand. I told them all I needed them to do was to stop the bleeding for me. They said oh no you’ll have to take your dog to Augusta GA which was an hour away. Well my dog almost died. it was touch and go but he’s going to be ok. I took him to another vets office. Who was kind and took the time to help me. This place is fantastic. I like the vet here and so does my puppy! They are always busy but the service is personal. They did my last moments with my old rescue pup and now they take care of my new rescue. I like that they don't charge for the follow up visits or do unnecessary tests! Read Less

This practice has been nothing but good to us and our pets since we moved to Aiken. They met us at the clinic the Sunday after Thanksgiving when we had to euthanize our beloved 15 year old Bearded Collie. They have treated our 15 year old cat with multiple chronic issues. And they have seen another cat for an annual physical. They order our dog's special diet food and call us when it is ready to be picked up. I am extremely pleased with the vets and the techs. The service for my pet was good, but the overall experience was terrible! I went in for follow up shots for dog and was recommended to get my dog spayed. I prepaid the costs of the surgery upfront since I was going to be working out of town and my girlfriend would be the one returning my dog the next week for the procedure. I had also asked that the vet check my dog's skin because it seemed that she had been breaking out. When I got home I realized that I was overcharge by $50. It was brought to their attention and it was refunded to me. My girlfriend dropped off my dog the day of the appointment and she was told that pick up would be a quick process which was great because she gets her lunch break in 30 minute increments. She got to the clinic to pick up my dog 10 minutes early and it still took around 30 minutes which led her to be late returning to work. On top of that she was presented with a bill for over $100 for skin treatment and medication for my dogs skin! We were only looking for a diagnosis NOT TREATMENT! It would have been nice to have been given a courtesy call to inform us of any undisclosed charges instead of deciding for us. I will be looking for another vet clinic after this horrible and costly experience. Read Less

I used a vet over 2 hours away and when my doc became ill I took him there first. But on arrival he perked up and the doctor couldn't see what I saw... so when he declined rapidly the following day, I called this location to check on euthanasia services. I scheduled them for 5 that day... but after speaking to his vet, she sounded like she thought it was to soon. I changed it to a second opinion appointment and began to take video. Went went that day and met a wonderful vet... and he did not perk up this time. I showed her the videos and she said "it looks neurological and there would be nothing we can do"... she then suggested I spend a few last days with him and return on Saturday morning. That is what we did...My only reason for 4 stars is because I should have come on a day when she would do it and not a vet I hadn't met. Also, it would have made me feel better if the vet stopped calling him a her.. making me feel like I was letting a complete stranger take care of his final moments. I stayed with him... I would never leave him in that time. They did a great service and offer cremation and a paw print. I'm glad to have had those options... they are all I have left. Thanks to the incompetence of this staff, I lost my Westie. I made arrangements to drop her off for eval but once there the clerk got snarky and wouldn't take the dog but had me sit in an exam room for an eval and they would "get to me as soon as possible". After 30 minutes I left without being seen. When I was finally able to get an appointment my girl was in kidney failure or so they said. I doubt that diagnosis as she didn't sleep more and more as uremic poisoning will do, but rather I think she had a blockage. No x-rays, no palpation, nothing but bloodwork. Left a protracted voicemail for vet so I could talk to her about the way the staff treated me and my sick dog. No return call of course. Dog is dead due to their negligence as far as I am concerned. I have been taking my 2 cats here for about six years. They have both had oral surgery here with great results. The doctors and staff are amazing people. They love animals and love their jobs. I went today for our annual check-up and was surprised to find a nice new cat waiting area separated from the dogs. (I love dogs, but my cats don't!) I didn't get to enjoy it as they sent me right to the exam room and we were attended to quickly. I don't know how they keep the place so immaculately clean with so many animals in and out all day. Stood outside their door Saturday afternoon at 2 after an employee walked in and locked the door behind her with my in laws dog with a ruptured spleen and they ignored me. I then called the emergency line to no avail. Lady was rude, uncaring, and unhelpful! Said she knew of no emergency after hours places at all! We will now go to St. Francis Animal hospital in Augusta for all of our pets needs. They cared about her and us. Had this place helped us at all, her dog could possibly be alive right now. We recently moved to the area and needed a new vet. Not too long after arriving our cat got some sort of rash. We brought her here and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The doctor figured out the problem quickly and was also very friendly. Best of all, the cost for the service was much cheaper than our old veterinarian, and even with two follow ups we were not charged extra. I think we have found our new vet. I would give this place more stars than five if I could! We have an incredibly nervous mastiff who is not great around new people. They took the time to make us and Meatloaf feel comfortable while he was away from home. I was so grateful for the boarding manager, I believe her name is Niki, who took the time to get to know Meatloaf way before his trial stay. We would still be going there, but moved to Charleston. I can say that there is no place like Vet Services because we have searched Charleston and haven't found anywhere that has made us feel as comfortable as they did. We've even considered driving two hours to continue using them! You can't go wrong boarding your dog here and I am sure their vet services are just as top notch! A few years back we took two cats there and spent out over $100 and we were told that they were gonna be fine the next day and that they'd be themselves again but one died the same night and the other one died the next morning. And since then I haven't trusted this vet! Read Less

For almost ten years the wonderful staff has given our three dogs and three cats outstanding care and love. When our youngest dog, Sweetie Girl, twoat the time, poked a hole in her eye a few days before Christmas last year, Doc B spent an hour or more tracking down an animal ophthalmologist who would care for her three days before Christmas. His effoet paid big dividends for Sweetie because a year later she has vision in her eye and is our very affectionate little dog. Doc Holly has guided us through numerous adventures through our dogs IzzyB's and Smudge's puppyhoods and adulthoods,and now their senior years.Likewise she has been the caregiver for Nimbus, Fenster (since he was a four day old orphan), and Mimi for almost eight years. I was an out of town visitor with my dog who needed her stitches out which passing through. They were quick to get me in, very pleasant to speak with as well as courteous. Holly Woltz has been our family vet for at least 20 years.  She is a consummate professional and meticulous if her choice of partners and staff.  I never worry which vet I will see when I take in a pet.  Her facility has been AAHA certified for 32 years.  It is always clean and well stocked.  Staff is professional, well groomed, courteous and knowledgeable.  I have had just about every service available provided including a very professional and compassionate experience when I had to euthanize a pet.  I would recommend Veterinary Services without reservation.
