We were new to the area and unfortunately our first visit to the clinic was due to our oldest dog being ill. The staff from the moment we walked in the door was welcoming and very accommodating for both us and our pooch. The vet spent time explaining everything to us and even checked on our dog two times in the following week. Sadly we ended up having to put our sweet Maddy down 3 weeks later due to worsening of her condition. It was the first time I've ever had to make that decision and the staff was wonderful with helping us know that it was truly what was best for our sweet girl at that time. Every single staff member that we interacted with was so compassionate and really genuine. They made the whole experience bearable and even sent us a sympathy card. Thank you Bluffton Vet Hospital!

I have two dogs so I am a pretty regular visitor at BVH. Whether it's their regular check ups or dealing with the occasional upset stomach etc. I always loved how they treated my dogs and me. It wasn't until recently that The BVH meant even more to me. My dogs have been patients for years but recently one of my dogs has become very ill, the kind of end of life illness. Dr. Travis White and team are so patient, kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring about this entire process. What a gift to have a place that cares as much about my 4 legged family as I do. Dr. White always provides such thoughtful counsel and gives options around treatment. These decisions on how to treat older dogs are never easy but he has guided me through the process without judgement and treated Max with respect. I know I will always have dogs and as long as I do, I will always come to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital.

We were so relieved when we were able to bring our very sick 16 year old little girl kitty to this clinic on a Saturday. The vet treated our kitty as if she were her own. She suggested that we bring our little girl back on Monday when the ultrasound specialist would be in the clinic. Unfortunately the ultrasound showed numerous tumors and cancer so we made the painful decision to let her pass over the Rainbow Bridge that day. The entire staff was very compassionate to us and to our little girl. When we picked our kitty's remains, the staff gave us hugs and asked how we were with our loss. A beautiful staff and wonderful vets. So fortunate to have found them and will bring our other fur kids to this clinic in the future. Thank you!!!!!

What more could anyone ask for? After I lost my labs I couldn't bear being without a dog so I got a new puppy. She is 4 yrs old now and been going here since. I truely have full trust with them with my Baby.

Bluffton Veterinary Hospital could not have been kinder and more empathetic when they helped me put my beloved companion of 14 years to sleep. They stayed in contact with me and made a substantial contribution to a shelter in his name. They were actually gleeful when I called and made an appointment for my new puppy. We were in Hilton Head on vacation and had an emergency with our Shih Tzu. There wasn’t a single office on the island that would see him, some because we weren’t a client, some were double booked and some we’d have to wait for few hours to be seen when he needed immediate care. We called to the Bluffton Animal Hospital, they were the nicest and said they’d see him as soon as we could get him there. The staff and doctor that seen him was wonderful, if we have any issues while there again we will definitely call them.

We recently moved to Savannah - but we will continue to drive to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital for pet care. I can't recommend them strongly enough. The staff members are all warm, kind, professional and truly care about their patients. One of our dogs has behavior problems and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate him (and help me feel less embarrassed). When we had to put our beloved German Shepherd down, they were compassionate, tender and understood our pain. We couldn't be happier customers.

I had a scary emergency with my dog today. I first called the closest vet to me which was Buckwalter veterinary clinic and they were very rude and said they would not see my dog even though it was a life-threatening emergency. I’ve been called Bluffton veterinary Hospital and they could not have been nicer. The doctor was excellent and the staff was so caring and friendly. They saved my dogs life without hesitation. They are incredibly sensitive and professional. They have a new client for life and three new patients for life. Thank you and God bless you all!

excellent service dealing with Bluffton Veterinary Hospital with two of our cats, one that has severe dental issues and the other has feline FIV, both very different circumstances, however, the care and understanding the staff demonstrated was second to none, The doctors were very thorough in explaining the issues and the possible options for treatment along with a cost estimate depending on what we wanted to spend and when. I like knowing the dollars and cents up front and they absolutely provide that so you can make informed decisions.

I moved here from No. Va several years ago and hoped to find as good veterinary care here as I had there for my two golden retrievers. What I have experienced has exceeded my expectations. My older golden was hurt in a kennel, Evergreen Pet Lodge on Hilton Head, about two years ago. When I picked him up he couldn't stand and was crying in pain. I rushed him to Bluffton Vet Hosp and Dr. T. White saw him. He immediately knew that my golden was in critical condition. He called Savannah Hosp, but no neurologist was on duty. He then called Charleston Referral Vet Hosp, gave me directions and told me to go ! I credit Dr. White for both his expertise and compassion. Between Dr. White and Charleston Hosp, they saved my dog's life.
I have two goldens and both have seen several of the other veterinarians as well at Bluffton Vet Hosp. They all are great. The staff, receptionists and technicians, are truly caring ,helpful and accommodating . I cannot say enough positive things about this hospital- I'd run out of space on the post.

We love the Bluffton Veterinary Hospital!!!! We take our little Westie there and have since moving here 2 years ago. They are easy to accommodate routine needs as well as emergency calls. Our dog has experienced a intestinal issue since we have had her. Other vets have been unable to get a line on it but one of the doctors at BVH made a suggestion to alleviate it and she has been almost free of it ever since, only experiencing it very, very infrequently!!!! We are most grateful and can wholeheartedly recommend this animal care facility!!!!

We were visiting Hilton Head along with our 3 dogs, when one of them suddenly began peeing blood in the evening. Bluffton Vet Hospital was thankfully open until 8pm (otherwise the closest was Savanah, GA). They got us right in, examined him, took a urine sample, and sent us on our way with antibiotics. The staff was great with us and the dog! Their pricing was quite reasonable. It was very stressful for us being far away from home, and we are happy to give this facility the highest rating. Our dog is fully recovered.

When my dog had a strange swelling on her foot, the vet was able to give advice on the phone and advised me to wait a bit to watch the foot for a few days - then called back in two days just to check in! My dog had a severe collapsed trachea, which would cause him not to be able to catch his breath. The specialist in Charleston told us that it was taking a toll on his little body and that he probably didn't have much longer to live. One night a few weeks ago, his breathing became very laborious, much worse than it had ever been, so we knew it was his time. I called Bluffton Veterinary Hospital around 11:30pm. I wanted one of the vets to meet us at their office, so he could put our dog to sleep. I was told that emergencies after 11pm should go to the animal hospital in Savannah. I had never been there. If he did make it alive, I didn't want him to die in a waiting room with other animals and people around us. I cried and begged the woman from the answering service to call one of the vets, but she wouldn't. Our dog died in my arms an hour later after basically suffocating to death. I would never have thought to find out the after hours emergency policy in advance, but I will now. That's really my purpose for writing this review. All I wanted was for our dog to die peacefully and quietly. For someone you trust and rely on, to not even take your call at 11:25pm is just completely pathetic and unacceptable.

After a horrible experience at my old vet, I called Bluffton Veterinary Hospital and they immediately provided me with answers, immediate attention for my dog, and most importantly, they cared. We owe everything to Dr. Nance and all of the AMAZING staff at BVE! We took our 6 month puppy in and Dr. Nance was able to diagnose our dog with a disease that was killing her red blood cells. We almost had to put her down but Dr. Nance and his staff were amazing! They were there for us when we thought we were going to lose her. They had a donor ready to give her a transfusion, they consulted with a specialist to get her a long term medical plan and now she is getting better! THANK YOU for saving our Bailey! Our family cant thank you enough!!!!!

I started taking my animals here after two of my dogs had an emergency and our previous vet could not make time to see us that day. BVH saw us immediately. After experiencing the warmth and genuine caring of the staff, I decided to stay with the vet that made their patients a priority. Since then we've had a few more visits, and I am always more than satisfied with the quality of care we receive. I would highly recommend BVH.

We were new to the area and unfortunately our first visit to the clinic was due to our oldest dog being ill. The staff from the moment we walked in the door was welcoming and very accommodating for both us and our pooch. The vet spent time explaining everything to us and even checked on our dog two times in the following week. Sadly we ended up having to put our sweet Maddy down 3 weeks later due to worsening of her condition. It was the first time I've ever had to make that decision and the staff was wonderful with helping us know that it was truly what was best for our sweet girl at that time. Every single staff member that we interacted with was so compassionate and really genuine. They made the whole experience bearable and even sent us a sympathy card. Thank you Bluffton Vet Hospital!

I have two dogs so I am a pretty regular visitor at BVH. Whether it's their regular check ups or dealing with the occasional upset stomach etc. I always loved how they treated my dogs and me. It wasn't until recently that The BVH meant even more to me. My dogs have been patients for years but recently one of my dogs has become very ill, the kind of end of life illness. Dr. Travis White and team are so patient, kind, knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring about this entire process. What a gift to have a place that cares as much about my 4 legged family as I do. Dr. White always provides such thoughtful counsel and gives options around treatment. These decisions on how to treat older dogs are never easy but he has guided me through the process without judgement and treated Max with respect. I know I will always have dogs and as long as I do, I will always come to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital.

We were so relieved when we were able to bring our very sick 16 year old little girl kitty to this clinic on a Saturday. The vet treated our kitty as if she were her own. She suggested that we bring our little girl back on Monday when the ultrasound specialist would be in the clinic. Unfortunately the ultrasound showed numerous tumors and cancer so we made the painful decision to let her pass over the Rainbow Bridge that day. The entire staff was very compassionate to us and to our little girl. When we picked our kitty's remains, the staff gave us hugs and asked how we were with our loss. A beautiful staff and wonderful vets. So fortunate to have found them and will bring our other fur kids to this clinic in the future. Thank you!!!!!

We were in Hilton Head on vacation and had an emergency with our Shih Tzu. There wasn’t a single office on the island that would see him, some because we weren’t a client, some were double booked and some we’d have to wait for few hours to be seen when he needed immediate care. We called to the Bluffton Animal Hospital, they were the nicest and said they’d see him as soon as we could get him there. The staff and doctor that seen him was wonderful, if we have any issues while there again we will definitely call them.

We recently moved to Savannah - but we will continue to drive to Bluffton Veterinary Hospital for pet care. I can't recommend them strongly enough. The staff members are all warm, kind, professional and truly care about their patients. One of our dogs has behavior problems and the staff goes out of their way to accommodate him (and help me feel less embarrassed). When we had to put our beloved German Shepherd down, they were compassionate, tender and understood our pain. We couldn't be happier customers.

I first called the closest vet to me which was Buckwalter veterinary clinic and they were very rude and said they would not see my dog even though it was a life-threatening emergency. I’ve been called Bluffton veterinary Hospital and they could not have been nicer. The doctor was excellent and the staff was so caring and friendly. They saved my dogs life without hesitation. excellent service dealing with Bluffton Veterinary Hospital with two of our cats, one that has severe dental issues and the other has feline FIV, both very different circumstances, however, the care and understanding the staff demonstrated was second to none, The doctors were very thorough in explaining the issues and the possible options for treatment along with a cost estimate depending on what we wanted to spend and when. I like knowing the dollars and cents up front and they absolutely provide that so you can make informed decisions.

I moved here from No. Va several years ago and hoped to find as good veterinary care here as I had there for my two golden retrievers. What I have experienced has exceeded my expectations. My older golden was hurt in a kennel, Evergreen Pet Lodge on Hilton Head, about two years ago. When I picked him up he couldn't stand and was crying in pain. I rushed him to Bluffton Vet Hosp and Dr. T. White saw him. He immediately knew that my golden was in critical condition. He called Savannah Hosp, but no neurologist was on duty. He then called Charleston Referral Vet Hosp, gave me directions and told me to go ! I credit Dr. White for both his expertise and compassion. Between Dr. White and Charleston Hosp, they saved my dog's life.
I have two goldens and both have seen several of the other veterinarians as well at Bluffton Vet Hosp. They all are great. The staff, receptionists and technicians, are truly caring ,helpful and accommodating . I cannot say enough positive things about this hospital- I'd run out of space on the post.

We love the Bluffton Veterinary Hospital!!!! We take our little Westie there and have since moving here 2 years ago. They are easy to accommodate routine needs as well as emergency calls. Our dog has experienced a intestinal issue since we have had her. Other vets have been unable to get a line on it but one of the doctors at BVH made a suggestion to alleviate it and she has been almost free of it ever since, only experiencing it very, very infrequently!!!! We are most grateful and can wholeheartedly recommend this animal care facility!!!!

We were visiting Hilton Head along with our 3 dogs, when one of them suddenly began peeing blood in the evening. Bluffton Vet Hospital was thankfully open until 8pm (otherwise the closest was Savanah, GA). They got us right in, examined him, took a urine sample, and sent us on our way with antibiotics. The staff was great with us and the dog! Their pricing was quite reasonable. It was very stressful for us being far away from home, and we are happy to give this facility the highest rating. Our dog is fully recovered.

My dog had a severe collapsed trachea, which would cause him not to be able to catch his breath. The specialist in Charleston told us that it was taking a toll on his little body and that he probably didn't have much longer to live. One night a few weeks ago, his breathing became very laborious, much worse than it had ever been, so we knew it was his time. I called Bluffton Veterinary Hospital around 11:30pm. I wanted one of the vets to meet us at their office, so he could put our dog to sleep. I was told that emergencies after 11pm should go to the animal hospital in Savannah. I had never been there. If he did make it alive, I didn't want him to die in a waiting room with other animals and people around us. I cried and begged the woman from the answering service to call one of the vets, but she wouldn't. Our dog died in my arms an hour later after basically suffocating to death. I would never have thought to find out the after hours emergency policy in advance, but I will now. That's really my purpose for writing this review. All I wanted was for our dog to die peacefully and quietly. For someone you trust and rely on, to not even take your call at 11:25pm is just completely pathetic and unacceptable.

We almost had to put her down but Dr. Nance and his staff were amazing! They were there for us when we thought we were going to lose her. They had a donor ready to give her a transfusion, they consulted with a specialist to get her a long term medical plan and now she is getting better! THANK YOU for saving our Bailey! I started taking my animals here after two of my dogs had an emergency and our previous vet could not make time to see us that day. BVH saw us immediately. After experiencing the warmth and genuine caring of the staff, I decided to stay with the vet that made their patients a priority.
