Will not take my dog back here again. If living downtown, it's worth the drive elsewhere! I am shocked at how well rated they are.
I made the appointment over the phone to have my 6 yr old Lab mix receive her annual rabies shot and to have a general check up. When my boyfriend and I got there, the lady at the front desk could not figure out if she needed her shots or not. She kept saying that she just had them in Dec 2015, when it was 2014. She argued with the tech over it for 15 minutes, and asked us 3 times. I told her over the phone that's what she was coming in for today.
She said the visit would be about $100 for the shots and check-up. I said that was fine.
We went back into the exam room, which was dingy looking, with several open paint cans underneath the desk. Dr. Berger came in, looked in Ellie's ears, checked her hips and looked through her fur. Said she looked fine. We told her that she sneezes frequently through-out the day and has been doing so since we got her over a year ago. He ended up having her vaccinated for kennel cough, which she did not need. He left the room, we waited about 15 minutes, he came back in and said we were good to go, and we said that she hadn't even received her shots yet...
A few minutes later, two techs come into the room and proceed to give her 2 shots, a nose spray, draw blood, and get a stool sample. They did not say what they were doing or what they were giving her. They came in, did the work, and left.
When we went to check out, it came out to be $230. They gave a receipt of what shots they had given her, and there were many that we had not discussed and things that she did not need. They said they would set up a prescription for a heart-worm preventative when the tests results came back, which they said they would call the next morning to inform me. They never called.
I called them 3 days later to ask what the results were, they said she was negative, and that was it. No information about a prescription.
Moral of the story: I would not recommend taking your beloved pet here. They need to figure out what is going on; everyone just seemed confused. And the facilities are not very nice. I was very upset at how everything went. We will not be back. Read Less
