Written by my husband Brand Myers:My wife called today at 2 to get a prescription filled, she had 2 hours free from work to go pick it up. According to the receptionist this would need to go through their pharmacy first, then a Dr. would have to write the script and they were busy so she could not guarantee that the script (which is just a handwritten piece of paper, we still need to take it to Walmart to fill it) would be ready in 2 hours. Ok, they're busy, we get it. Can the script be called into the Walmart pharmacy by the vet then, please? Yes, they say, no problem. Fast forward to 4:30, my wife calls me tells me the deal, I will go to Walmart after work to pick up the pills. She asks me to call the vet before going to Walmart to make sure they have called it in and also to ask them if they are sure that they have called it in for capsules not the tablets(we have had 2 separate instances before when they wrote "tablets" instead of "capsules" on the script, the tablets are over $100 the capsules are $10. This resulted in us not being able to get the pills until the Walmart pharmacy was able to get ahold of BFV which in one case it was after hours so not only did we not get the pills and wasted our time but my dog went without her medication for a day. Yet somehow this mistake was made A SECOND TIME so now we have to persistently ask if it was written for capsules every time we call it in.) I call the vet's office at 5 to make sure the pills will be there when I get to Walmart. Nope, no one has called it in. Ok, mistakes happen, could you call it in now then please? Yup, NO PROBLEM! It'll be called in within A HALF HOUR they say. I stay late at work, 6:00 rolls around, I leave work and head to Walmart. I get to the counter and ask for the prescription and guess what?? IT WAS NEVER CALLED IN. My wife calls the vet's office, tells the receptionist the whole story and not only is she NOT APOLOGIZED TO but is met with a very nonchalant attitude that clearly says this girl couldn't care less that this vet's office is, yet again, WASTING OUR TIME. She says it will be called in immediately, my wife relays the message to me, I go to get it and it still won't be ready for another 20 minutes!!Other than this particular instance my wife has spent 20+ minutes after the time of our apt waiting for even a vet tech to come into the room on several occasions. She has never spent less than an hour there for simple checkups. They lead us into a room at the time of the apt then we wait and wait and wait....someone sees you, you explain the situation, they leave, then you wait, and wait and wait....then the actual vet comes in and you have to explain yourself all over again! Another time she went in to pick up a prescription before work which was supposed to be ready when she walked in the door; the receptionist told her to wait and it would be ready within a few minutes. It was early in the morning so they were busy but my wife, who allotted 30 minutes for this venture, eventually had to leave empty handed because they could not get to her, yet they kept promising it would only be another 5 minutes so she wasted a full half hour just sitting there! On our first ever visit there were a minimum of 5 different vet techs that came into the room throughout visit, which felt very unprofessional, very scattered, disorganized. A free nail clipping is included in the first visit, our dog is very scared of getting her nails trimmed, 2 vet techs tried to hold her down (55 lb pitbull) while another tried to clip her nails even though her arms were jerking all over the place! Finally my wife, who could tell our dog was in distress, asked them to stop. On top of all of this, they are the MOST EXPENSIVE VET IN TOWN! I am all for paying expensive prices and even driving a far distance for quality service but in this case the price FAR EXCEEDS the experience. The one good thing is our vet, Lindsay, was very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. We have no complaints about her service. My biggest regret is not leaving sooner. Read Less
