It first started with my dog being returned to me after being given fluids, she was sick. She whimpered, when asked why we were told, "Oh, she's just happy to see you!" The correct answer would've been, (that we got later after we alarmingly realized something was wrong) "We put the fluids in the back and she's going to be really sore for a while." She was so sore that we couldn't even pet her or pick her up without her screaming and yelping. She was at the point that she'd rather pee on herself in her bed than to move. But she did get better a few days later.
Yesterday, at 5:30 she was hit by a white truck twice in front of our house; and her little sister possibly too. We called Olde Towne, they were a logical choice because they were right down the street. My dogs are little, time is of the essence. We were turned away, told to go to Mt. Pleasant Emergency. Luckily, another vet near us took in our dogs, even calling their vet back to work, for dogs that weren't even his patients, and he stayed the night to monitor both of them. My dogs could've been DYING. It turns out one of them has a shattered pelvis while the other one was luckily just in shock.
Find the a vet that is willing to go that extra mile. I didn't find it here. Read Less
