The office is very nice. However, in the midst of a serious canine flu outbreak, they have a bowl of water in the waiting room for ALL dogs to share.....sick dogs, well dogs. It is counterintuitive especially when there is a flyer about canine flu right on the counter above the "community water bowl". So much for universal precautions. I mentioned this to the vet when I was in and she looked at me like I was crazy. Also, the office staff....one of the techs tried to DRAG my dog to the back for a shot. I literally could not get my finger between my dogs skin and the slip lead. The office staff also insulted my previous vets on numerous occasions by stating that they had not sent records. I know this was not true. In addition, I brought all 4 of my dogs in for a flu booster (which they over charged....$38 for the booster, most vets are charging $28-$32) and, they repeatedly asked me what type of flu shot the dogs had. I repeatedly told them and said I was 1,000% sure. As I was leaving, after they had given my dogs the shot, the tech said, "we will just double check with your vet, who has not answered our numerous calls, to make sure we gave the correct shot". How many times do you need to insult me? (And my vet?) Lastly, I walked up to write a check and the girl at the desk says, "we just stopped taking checks". Really? Is that information that should have been conveyed to me when I made the appointment the previous day? And should there not e maybe a sign in the waiting room? Luckily I was able to pay cash. Then as a final insult, I asked that they print out a record of the shots for me because I told them that with all the choices for a vet in Mt Pleasant, I would not be returning, imagine my shock to see that of the 4 dogs and the 4 records ("vaccination certificate"), only two of the dogs had the correct vaccines on the certificates. But yet my previous vet is the one with the problem? When I called the office to point out the mistake, I was again treated poorly and asked if I wanted to "come back in" and pick the certs up. No. What part of I am done with this practice presents difficulty as to understanding? I have asked that the vet owner and the office manager call me but as of yet, crickets. I have to question the care that animals receive here based on my personal experiences above. There are better vets out there and in my opinion, practices that are more savy about animal care. Find one of them and by pass this practice. Read Less
