My dogs have been loyal patients of PWVA for over ten years. While the two dogs in our family now are ages 5 and 3, the staff at PWVA also cared for our two previous dogs, who lived to be almost 15 and 13. Those two dogs had their share of "old age" issues, and I know that the knowledgeable and caring team at PWVA gave them a better quality of life in their senior years.
The two dogs in our family now have also had their share of issues, the 5 year old having done battle with autoimmune deficiencies, including a blood transfusion when he was 5 months old, and the 3 year old battling leg/hip issues. The team of doctors and vet techs are also actively involved in their community, taking part in a host of various outreach programs. For instance, they recently put on a "Be a Veterinarian Day" at the clinic, where children of patients' families could immerse themselves in the day-to-day experiences of being a vet. In sum, the entire team at PWVA truly "walks the walk," as opposed to merely "talks the talk." They are educated, knowledgable, genuine, caring and kind-hearted people, who have a sincere passion for the betterment of the pets' health and well-being. Perhaps the most ringing endorsement of all, though, are the pets themselves. Never before PWVA have I taken my dogs to a clinic where, once the dogs realize where we're going, they get excited. They're happy in the car when we're on the way, and they're happy when they're picked up. Read Less
