I didn't realize that the rabies vaccination was good for three years until I brought my two dogs and cat here. We went in looking for a second opinion on what our other vet thought was a hernia that they would charge us almost $500 to repair.. Since I just adopted my pup a few weeks ago, I was not willing to have her go through surgery if it was not absolutely necessary. Enter Simply Spay & Neuter to save the day... The vet assured us that it was totally fine and could be caused from the suture from her being spayed. We are so relieved to have a vet who was actually looking out for the safety of our pup and not just wanting to cash a check.The vet took about 2 minutes to deduce that her "hernia" was fine and just to monitor it, so we were in and out in under 10 minutes. I was thinking to myself that if we had to pay an office fee we totally would, but since it was such a short visit I would be surprised. To our delight, the vet didn't charge us the office visit fee! What a great experience and I will definitely be back again because they have the best interest of my Tater Tot in mind!

I can't recommend this place enough! My puppy Piper needed a hernia repair that ended up being a lot more complicated of a surgery than expected. Dr. McTavish called me herself after surgery to explain how it went and when I went to pick Piper up was very thorough on what to expect post-surgery, gave me some extra gauze and wrap for her paw, and even carried Piper out to the car herself. The staff called promptly the next morning to check up on Piper and to double check that I had enough pain medication for her for the weekend. Dr. McTavish and the entire staff at Simply Spay are so incredibly kind and knowledgeable and I've never received such personalized care at any veterinarian. They never make you feel rushed and genuinely care for your pet! 12/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a vet in the Mt. Pleasant area.

Dr. Martha McTavish.. is phenomenal. I found her via recommendation. I have a bulldog with frequent health issues & was completely broke from paying the prices at my previous vets. They were great but the prices astronomical. Today I had Bilateral Entropian Sx done for $380 which included both upper & lower lids, pain medication, eye drops & abx. The previous vet quoted me $1500 per eye plus taxes & meds. McTavish is direct, thorough & if she can't do the job will refer to someone else. She is a realist & discusses cost when looking at various health care options for our dog. This is my third visit here in a few short weeks & every time I go I'm reminded why. The office visit alone is half the previous vet. This has helped out so much considering the expense of owning a bulldog. I'm so glad I made the change even though I felt guilty for doing so. If you are wanting to change vets, I strongly recommend this practice.

Couldn't ask for a better vet. I make the drive from Johns Island to Mount Pleasant because I don't feel rushed when I go into my appointment. They stop and talk to you. There's either never a wait or a small one. They even call a few days later to check in to see how your pet is doing on heeling or it's medication. I just found out some news about my dog and thought of some questions driving home after the appointment. I called and left a message with a staff member and got a phone in less than a hour from Dr. M with answers. Thanks for everything Simply Spay and Neuter! It's the best feeling knowing your best friends are loved!

The nicest, most helpful staff I have ever experienced. Dr. McTavish is caring, knowledgeable and great with the animals. They never push you
to do all the expensive tests or vaccines that most Vets tell you are necessary. She makes sure your pet has what is required and what is needed and the options you have. I have had 3 dogs live to be around 15 years old. She takes into account that the owner has knowledge and understands their own pet. She understands when an a Person is under stress that their animal is sick and or old. Hands down the best Vet in town.

My cat has been limping so I called SS&N to see if they would take a look. I drove right over and waited for only about 10 mins. The staff are all very nice to work with and my cat was compliant while Dr. McTavish manipulated my pet's leg and diagnosed the problem. She didn't rush me somewhere to get an x-ray, CT scan or have blood work or an MRI. I'd say she considers the individual situation better than some vets. The clinic doesn't do x-rays but does just about every other outpatient procedure on dogs and cats, so don't hesitate to call them for most non-serious needs. Even if they don't cover the service they'll refer you to another vet - one they would trust, so you can feel confident it's a good referral. They are very efficient, professional and caring, so if you've just moved here or are looking for another vet, do give them a call.

They called me as soon as the procedure was over and they found an infection in my cat and provided me with antibiotics for only 25 dollars. They have such fair prices too! Awesome people! Contrary to the name of the practice, Simply Spay & Neuter does so much more than spays and neuters! I've taken my 3 dogs there for almost 4yrs for everything: routine vaccines, dental cleanings, sick/injury visits, senior wellness blood work, anal gland expressing ("butt pinching"), nail trims, etc.
I was a veterinary technician in NC for 6yrs and then again in Mt. Pleasant for a brief period. I worked at a highly reputable animal medical center that employs a handful of veterinarians, several vet techs and tech assistants. Although they are very good at what they do, it is very easy to rack up a bill large enough to feed and clothe a small country.
Simply Spay and Neuter is a much smaller practice but their heart is just as big, and their brains are just as bright. (If not brighter...!) Their fees on the other hand do NOT match those of the fore mentioned animal medical center.
I am a full-time single mom and a full-time student. I pinch every penny, but when it comes to the health and well-being of my four-legged children, I have no monetary limit.
Dr. McTavish and her animal nurses are genuinely good, kind people. They are easy to talk to and I always leave there with the feeling I was just amongst friends.

She does not nor will not do unnecessary treatments. Very reasonably priced, and has drop in hours Tuesday and Thursday. Ridiculously convenient and was impressed with her proficiency in dealing with a rather sick puppy! Now he's doing outstanding and we will be returning customers.

Great place! Caring staff with a great vet. The name is a bit misleading - they are a full service veterinarian's office. They have walk in hours twice a week I believe for vaccinations which is very convenient. And,..... their pricing is reasonable. Our older dog needed some teeth extracted, so I first checked with the vet we had been using on Daniel island and got the price quote. Thought it was kinda high, so asked around and Simply Spay & Neuter was recommended. Got a second opinion from them and the price quote was about 1/3 of what the DI place quoted. Quite a huge difference! So, while it seems a bit cold to shop around for a veterinarian it makes sense. About to do the same about a dentist for myself.

I can not say enough nice things about this practice. We brought our 1.5 year old bullmastiff here to be spayed and could not have had a better experience. Besides the fact that their price was unbeatable, the office was so nice and clean and most of all- the staff and Dr. McTavish could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. They called me throughout the day to update me on his surgery and condition, and being a first tim puppy owner, this in of itself was a huge deal to me! They answered my questions and kept me informed in the process, keeping my sane and trusting them every step of the way. When I picked him up he had been taken very well care of. I was given medication to help him soothe in his recovery, and was given an information packet with a direct line of communication to the vet in case anything should arise. His surgery sites look amazing, and he is recovering very well. Simply Spay and Neuter is the best vet for your money in town, and I will definitely be coming back here to serve all of my veterinary needs! They are reasonable, kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy! A+!

I was looking for a new vet because I was sick of paying the ridiculous prices at my current one. I did a lot of calling around without getting too far from home. I heard there's a great place in JI but it's just inconvenient for me. After all my phone calls and shopping around I settled on Simply Spay & Neuter. Not only for the price but their demeanor on the phone and willingness to help.I brought my dog in later that day. It was easy to find, not too busy, and very clean while still maintaining a comfortable feel. We were just overdue for a rabies shot and I wanted to have a heart-worm test done because she had missed some treatments.If you're having anything like that done, they include they waive the cost of the visit and do a wellness check up anyway. The Dr was super nice and my dog felt comfortable right away. She even looked at her teeth (at my request) and we discussed the options for dental. The last quote I had was for almost $700 at my last vet and here they do it for less than $250! Because of how calm Mollie was, the Dr even did a little scraping while we were sitting there and was able to remove some large pieces of plaque from her back molars. As an alternative she also recommended a Rx food that is proven to help break away plaque and wrote a Rx for it just in case I wanted to give it a try. I truly appreciate a place that doesn't just assume you want the most expensive option and gives you what your choices are. We're not all made of money here.I may be jumping the gun because it was only my first visit but it was such a step up I had to write a review. I will report back if things change but I doubt it.

We went in looking for a second opinion on what our other vet thought was a hernia that they would charge us almost $500 to repair.. Since I just adopted my pup a few weeks ago, I was not willing to have her go through surgery if it was not absolutely necessary. Enter Simply Spay & Neuter to save the day... The vet assured us that it was totally fine and could be caused from the suture from her being spayed. We are so relieved to have a vet who was actually looking out for the safety of our pup and not just wanting to cash a check.The vet took about 2 minutes to deduce that her "hernia" was fine and just to monitor it, so we were in and out in under 10 minutes. I was thinking to myself that if we had to pay an office fee we totally would, but since it was such a short visit I would be surprised. To our delight, the vet didn't charge us the office visit fee! What a great experience and I will definitely be back again because they have the best interest of my Tater Tot in mind!

I can't recommend this place enough! My puppy Piper needed a hernia repair that ended up being a lot more complicated of a surgery than expected. Dr. McTavish called me herself after surgery to explain how it went and when I went to pick Piper up was very thorough on what to expect post-surgery, gave me some extra gauze and wrap for her paw, and even carried Piper out to the car herself. The staff called promptly the next morning to check up on Piper and to double check that I had enough pain medication for her for the weekend. Dr. McTavish and the entire staff at Simply Spay are so incredibly kind and knowledgeable and I've never received such personalized care at any veterinarian. They never make you feel rushed and genuinely care for your pet! 12/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a vet in the Mt. Pleasant area.

Dr. Martha McTavish.. is phenomenal. I found her via recommendation. I have a bulldog with frequent health issues & was completely broke from paying the prices at my previous vets. They were great but the prices astronomical. Today I had Bilateral Entropian Sx done for $380 which included both upper & lower lids, pain medication, eye drops & abx. The previous vet quoted me $1500 per eye plus taxes & meds. McTavish is direct, thorough & if she can't do the job will refer to someone else. She is a realist & discusses cost when looking at various health care options for our dog. This is my third visit here in a few short weeks & every time I go I'm reminded why. The office visit alone is half the previous vet. This has helped out so much considering the expense of owning a bulldog. I'm so glad I made the change even though I felt guilty for doing so. If you are wanting to change vets, I strongly recommend this practice.

There's either never a wait or a small one. They even call a few days later to check in to see how your pet is doing on heeling or it's medication. I just found out some news about my dog and thought of some questions driving home after the appointment. I called and left a message with a staff member and got a phone in less than a hour from Dr. M with answers. Thanks for everything Simply Spay and Neuter! It's the best feeling knowing your best friends are loved!

to do all the expensive tests or vaccines that most Vets tell you are necessary. She makes sure your pet has what is required and what is needed and the options you have. I have had 3 dogs live to be around 15 years old. She takes into account that the owner has knowledge and understands their own pet. She understands when an a Person is under stress that their animal is sick and or old. Hands down the best Vet in town.

My cat has been limping so I called SS&N to see if they would take a look. I drove right over and waited for only about 10 mins. The staff are all very nice to work with and my cat was compliant while Dr. McTavish manipulated my pet's leg and diagnosed the problem. She didn't rush me somewhere to get an x-ray, CT scan or have blood work or an MRI. I'd say she considers the individual situation better than some vets. The clinic doesn't do x-rays but does just about every other outpatient procedure on dogs and cats, so don't hesitate to call them for most non-serious needs. Even if they don't cover the service they'll refer you to another vet - one they would trust, so you can feel confident it's a good referral. They are very efficient, professional and caring, so if you've just moved here or are looking for another vet, do give them a call.

They called me as soon as the procedure was over and they found an infection in my cat and provided me with antibiotics for only 25 dollars. They have such fair prices too! Awesome people! Contrary to the name of the practice, Simply Spay & Neuter does so much more than spays and neuters! I've taken my 3 dogs there for almost 4yrs for everything: routine vaccines, dental cleanings, sick/injury visits, senior wellness blood work, anal gland expressing ("butt pinching"), nail trims, etc.
I was a veterinary technician in NC for 6yrs and then again in Mt. Pleasant for a brief period. I worked at a highly reputable animal medical center that employs a handful of veterinarians, several vet techs and tech assistants. Although they are very good at what they do, it is very easy to rack up a bill large enough to feed and clothe a small country.
Simply Spay and Neuter is a much smaller practice but their heart is just as big, and their brains are just as bright. (If not brighter...!) Their fees on the other hand do NOT match those of the fore mentioned animal medical center.
I am a full-time single mom and a full-time student. I pinch every penny, but when it comes to the health and well-being of my four-legged children, I have no monetary limit.
Dr. McTavish and her animal nurses are genuinely good, kind people. They are easy to talk to and I always leave there with the feeling I was just amongst friends.

So just picking up a puppy and there are tons of excellent veterinarian practices in the area however this one is outstanding!Proficient, professional, and well rounded to treat all of your animals care. She does not nor will not do unnecessary treatments. Very reasonably priced, and has drop in hours Tuesday and Thursday. Ridiculously convenient and was impressed with her proficiency in dealing with a rather sick puppy! Now he's doing outstanding and we will be returning customers.

Great place! Caring staff with a great vet. The name is a bit misleading - they are a full service veterinarian's office. They have walk in hours twice a week I believe for vaccinations which is very convenient. And,..... their pricing is reasonable. Our older dog needed some teeth extracted, so I first checked with the vet we had been using on Daniel island and got the price quote. Thought it was kinda high, so asked around and Simply Spay & Neuter was recommended. Got a second opinion from them and the price quote was about 1/3 of what the DI place quoted. Quite a huge difference! So, while it seems a bit cold to shop around for a veterinarian it makes sense. About to do the same about a dentist for myself.

I can not say enough nice things about this practice. We brought our 1.5 year old bullmastiff here to be spayed and could not have had a better experience. Besides the fact that their price was unbeatable, the office was so nice and clean and most of all- the staff and Dr. McTavish could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. I would highly recommend Simply Spay & Neuter to anyone. The quality of their work is superb.

They called me throughout the day to update me on his surgery and condition, and being a first tim puppy owner, this in of itself was a huge deal to me! They answered my questions and kept me informed in the process, keeping my sane and trusting them every step of the way. When I picked him up he had been taken very well care of. I was given medication to help him soothe in his recovery, and was given an information packet with a direct line of communication to the vet in case anything should arise. His surgery sites look amazing, and he is recovering very well. Simply Spay and Neuter is the best vet for your money in town, and I will definitely be coming back here to serve all of my veterinary needs! They are reasonable, kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy! I was looking for a new vet because I was sick of paying the ridiculous prices at my current one. I did a lot of calling around without getting too far from home. I heard there's a great place in JI but it's just inconvenient for me. After all my phone calls and shopping around I settled on Simply Spay & Neuter. Not only for the price but their demeanor on the phone and willingness to help.I brought my dog in later that day. It was easy to find, not too busy, and very clean while still maintaining a comfortable feel. We were just overdue for a rabies shot and I wanted to have a heart-worm test done because she had missed some treatments.If you're having anything like that done, they include they waive the cost of the visit and do a wellness check up anyway. The Dr was super nice and my dog felt comfortable right away. She even looked at her teeth (at my request) and we discussed the options for dental. The last quote I had was for almost $700 at my last vet and here they do it for less than $250! Because of how calm Mollie was, the Dr even did a little scraping while we were sitting there and was able to remove some large pieces of plaque from her back molars. As an alternative she also recommended a Rx food that is proven to help break away plaque and wrote a Rx for it just in case I wanted to give it a try. I truly appreciate a place that doesn't just assume you want the most expensive option and gives you what your choices are. We're not all made of money here.I may be jumping the gun because it was only my first visit but it was such a step up I had to write a review. I will report back if things change but I doubt it.
