I had an emergency situation with my cat, Riley, and when I called to make an appointment they were able to work me in the same day. The staff were professional and courteous but also very friendly and understanding. Although we were new to the clinic, we felt like family. Turns out that Riley was indeed quite sick and just hadn't shown any visible signs. They were able to treat him and get him back on his feet quickly while still taking the time to get to know him. They also followed up with his condition and gave me a take home test kit to make sure everything cleared up for him. I was very happy with my visit and would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for personalized care in this world of bureaucratic health management. So glad I called 😸

Dr. Cain and her staff are the best!!!! They are incredibly thorough and devoted to the overall health of my boys. From my initial contact by phone, to our first visit and visits since; I have been treated with respect and my boys have been showered with the upmost love and attention by all of the staff and Dr. Cain. No question goes unanswered and they spend the time needed to ensure I'm comfortable with the care being provided to my boys. Additionally, their website is incredibly easy to use as well as the on line pharmacy to secure all my pet med needs. They even assisted me in finding grooming and boarding for my boys!! Dr. Cain and all the wonderful techs, especially Megan, Sara and Katt are so amazing. They consistently go above and beyond with my Buddy. They genuinely care and love him, and it means so much to see that in every visit, and every procedure. When he had surgery they saw him just about every Saturday for over a month doing cold laser treatments and wound care. Sara gave him so much love on these visits! I recommend them to every person I know that has a pet. You can tell that they are actually happy to be there and work and care for your pet and address your concerns. I cannot say enough good things about these folks.

Imagine taking your son to the doctor for a broken arm and having the the doctor REPEATEDLY wrenching the arm back and forth not from a diagnostic problem solving perspective but from an Atta Boy cheer up heavy handed attempt rapport. Dr. Caine did just that not to my son rather to my dog Mauser when we brought him in for an extreme allergic reaction that manifest in a hot spot. So bad was it that the dog started the day cowering in pain with his coat crawling...hence the trip to the doctor right? Well dr. Caine's bedside manner is as subtle as a Louisville slugger exemplified by her repeatedly grinding her talons into the very area that was the most problematic. This of course caused Mauser to welp again and again and prompted him to cower. She was so receptive to her patient that she went back and do the SAME thing THREE times. And all of this just trying to get his heart rate. It was at that point the the esteemed dr. caine rotated around and said, "I think he has a hot spot"...and my blood boiled when asked me, "what do u want from me"... The hilarious part of all this is that she was genuinely surprised when my fiance and I got up and left stating we were going to find a new vet. Why? Why is it funny because I have never seen a person so I'll suited for a position that they have spent such time and money attaining. The problem is the joke was on me and a member of my family. I would and will continue to advise everybody I know with an animal to stay clear of this vet hospital and dr. Caine specifically.

We just moved to the area, so we were looking for a new veterinarian. Every employee I encountered, from calling to make my initial appointment to the moment they helped me put my golden retriever back in my car, was friendly, professional, and personal. They didn't push any unwanted vaccines or tests on me and took the time to make sure my dog was healthy. It didn't smell like animal in there and it was very clean and bright. They looked inside my dogs ear because it had been bothering him and showed me how to flush it. They're open on the weekends and have a military discount. I highly recommend this place!!

Don't waste your time going there afterhours (I went on a Sunday). Take your pet to the ER vet. I took my dog there hoping to find out why she was acting funny. They couldn't find anything for sure wrong with her. She died the next morning, and she suffered before finally being put down. The staff were nice enough, but that doesn't replace my family member.

I've owned five dogs and fostered sixteen (so far), so I've spent plenty of time at various veterinary practices (and emergency vets). Anyone who knows me knows I am an animal advocate and also that I am extremely particular about who cares for my dogs (who are essentially my children). I do not tolerate anything less than the best. The vet must know their stuff inside and out and be able to problem solve and consider and prepare for all possible outcomes to give me the best advice possible. The staff must be friendly, accommodating, and show sincere concern for my animals and help make them feel comfortable at all times. The administration and communication needs to be top notch so the records are kept straight and follow up is diligently performed. You will find ALL of these attributes at The Animal Hospital of North Charleston. I even pay out of my own pocket to take my fosters here, even though the rescue I work with has discounts at other vets and it wouldn't cost me anything to take them there instead. I live 45 minutes from The Animal Hospital of North Charleston, so there are about 15 other vet offices that are closer and more convenient, but I choose to make the drive to go here. Because it is just that important to have a veterinary practice you can trust completely with your pets' care.

I had the chance to utilize The Animal Hospital of North Charleston this past weekend and was nothing but pleased. I have a vet already that I absolutely LOVE and had actually followed him when he left his nearby practice to start his own practice about 40 minutes away and have continued to use him for years. However, this past weekend one of my dogs (which is a diabetic) became very sick, my vet has brief hours on Saturday (which most vets do) and I could not wait until Monday for him to be seen. Luckily I called The Animal Hospital and learned they had full weekend hours. Although they could not get Romeo in immediately on Saturday, they gave me some guidance over the phone and gave me an apt for first thing Sunday morning even though they had never saw us before. When we arrived Sunday every person in the office was very friendly, genuinely concerned and helpful. Vet Tech Katt assisted us during our visit and was very friendly and took the time to make sure we knew what was going on every step of the way and the cost of each thing they did along the way before they proceeded with anything. Dr. Ingram was our vet that day and she was wonderful. She could have opted to run all kind of tests but she opted to take a conservative approach for time being which I certainly appreciated. So many other vets will not do that. Their office has since called to check on Romeo to make sure he was feeling better and to see if we needed anything else. They are open 7 days a week and at what does not appear to be at a higher rate for that convenience, which is very helpful and unusual in this day and age. I would recommend Dr. Ingram and the staff for your pet care needs.

The worst experience ever! First off this so called dr. Caine told me my dog had a small bowel obstruction and surgery was necessary. Of course I said do whatever you need to, to make my boy feel better. When I got there to pick him up I was told he had massive amounts of diarrhea prior to surgery yet she still cut a 12 inch incision along his abdomen. Guess what she found nothing in his bowel. Of course not when he just shit prior to surgery. I was so upset that she did this. I ended up paying well over a thousand dollars for my boy to suffer for weeks after she cut him. This money can be replaced but my boy suffered for 2 weeks after this. I feel like Caine did this to him for the money and that's it. There was never anything obstructing his bowel. I would strongly suggest find another vet and if not stay with your fur baby and question everything. I wish I would've.

A wonderful hospital staffed with professional, caring staff. The doctors are outstanding professionals. They have taken care of 4 of our pets over the period of their lives and are now caring for Ellie, our new kitten. The techs are loving and caring. They truly do love their jobs and care greatly for your pet. The administrative staff is professional, courteous, and capable. I recommend The Animal Hospital to everyone with a pet, especially in the Oakbrook, Coosaw, Dorchester Road area. The hospital is so convenient.

THE STAFF at The Animal Hospital of North Charleston are wonderful! My dog Jake DOES NOT LIKE SMALL DOGS! They whisked him in to a treatment room, so that the smaller dogs could come in to the waiting area. I'm sure he could feel the tension from my stress & fear of the aggression & made him more tense. The did a fantastic job of keeping him as calm as possible & reassuring me that it was ok. They didn't treat him like, he is a " bad dog " or ME like, I am a bad MOM, because I couldn't keep the 93 lbs of raw muscle, GIANT licky-face sweetheart from dragging me around the room.... So thankful, that I was pretty much teary the entire time....I HIGHLY recommend the AHNC!

The staff at The Animal Hospital of North Charleston are great and they are very friendly. The only reason I put satisfied instead of very satisfied is that I want to wait and see how her treatment turns out. They really did an excellent job. I had no idea she had fleas because if there is a flea within a mile, it will usually find me and I had had no flea bites. They got Abby started on flea and heartworm protection so we will see how that turns out. In fact, I think I'll change my review here to VERY SATISFIED. I know Abby is going to turn out great after her visit there. Thanks to you all for your hard work and friendly attitudes.
UPDATE UPDATE: Abby turned out to be fine. The flea and heartworm medicine works fine. We have taken another of our dogs there. The staff treats your pet as if it is their own. I'm changing my review to VERY SATISFIED. AHNC is the best.

I had an emergency situation with my cat, Riley, and when I called to make an appointment they were able to work me in the same day. The staff were professional and courteous but also very friendly and understanding. Although we were new to the clinic, we felt like family. Turns out that Riley was indeed quite sick and just hadn't shown any visible signs. They were able to treat him and get him back on his feet quickly while still taking the time to get to know him. They also followed up with his condition and gave me a take home test kit to make sure everything cleared up for him. I was very happy with my visit and would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for personalized care in this world of bureaucratic health management. So glad I called 😸

From my initial contact by phone, to our first visit and visits since; I have been treated with respect and my boys have been showered with the upmost love and attention by all of the staff and Dr. Cain. No question goes unanswered and they spend the time needed to ensure I'm comfortable with the care being provided to my boys. Additionally, their website is incredibly easy to use as well as the on line pharmacy to secure all my pet med needs. They even assisted me in finding grooming and boarding for my boys!! Dr. Cain and all the wonderful techs, especially Megan, Sara and Katt are so amazing. They consistently go above and beyond with my Buddy. They genuinely care and love him, and it means so much to see that in every visit, and every procedure. When he had surgery they saw him just about every Saturday for over a month doing cold laser treatments and wound care. Sara gave him so much love on these visits! I recommend them to every person I know that has a pet. You can tell that they are actually happy to be there and work and care for your pet and address your concerns. I cannot say enough good things about these folks.

Imagine taking your son to the doctor for a broken arm and having the the doctor REPEATEDLY wrenching the arm back and forth not from a diagnostic problem solving perspective but from an Atta Boy cheer up heavy handed attempt rapport. Dr. Caine did just that not to my son rather to my dog Mauser when we brought him in for an extreme allergic reaction that manifest in a hot spot. So bad was it that the dog started the day cowering in pain with his coat crawling...hence the trip to the doctor right? Well dr. Caine's bedside manner is as subtle as a Louisville slugger exemplified by her repeatedly grinding her talons into the very area that was the most problematic. This of course caused Mauser to welp again and again and prompted him to cower. She was so receptive to her patient that she went back and do the SAME thing THREE times. And all of this just trying to get his heart rate. It was at that point the the esteemed dr. caine rotated around and said, "I think he has a hot spot"...and my blood boiled when asked me, "what do u want from me"... The hilarious part of all this is that she was genuinely surprised when my fiance and I got up and left stating we were going to find a new vet. Why? Why is it funny because I have never seen a person so I'll suited for a position that they have spent such time and money attaining. The problem is the joke was on me and a member of my family. I would and will continue to advise everybody I know with an animal to stay clear of this vet hospital and dr. Caine specifically.

We just moved to the area, so we were looking for a new veterinarian. Every employee I encountered, from calling to make my initial appointment to the moment they helped me put my golden retriever back in my car, was friendly, professional, and personal. They didn't push any unwanted vaccines or tests on me and took the time to make sure my dog was healthy. It didn't smell like animal in there and it was very clean and bright. They looked inside my dogs ear because it had been bothering him and showed me how to flush it. They're open on the weekends and have a military discount. I highly recommend this place!!

Don't waste your time going there afterhours (I went on a Sunday). Take your pet to the ER vet. I took my dog there hoping to find out why she was acting funny. They couldn't find anything for sure wrong with her. She died the next morning, and she suffered before finally being put down. The staff were nice enough, but that doesn't replace my family member.

I've owned five dogs and fostered sixteen (so far), so I've spent plenty of time at various veterinary practices (and emergency vets). Anyone who knows me knows I am an animal advocate and also that I am extremely particular about who cares for my dogs (who are essentially my children). I do not tolerate anything less than the best. The vet must know their stuff inside and out and be able to problem solve and consider and prepare for all possible outcomes to give me the best advice possible. The staff must be friendly, accommodating, and show sincere concern for my animals and help make them feel comfortable at all times. The administration and communication needs to be top notch so the records are kept straight and follow up is diligently performed. You will find ALL of these attributes at The Animal Hospital of North Charleston. I even pay out of my own pocket to take my fosters here, even though the rescue I work with has discounts at other vets and it wouldn't cost me anything to take them there instead. I live 45 minutes from The Animal Hospital of North Charleston, so there are about 15 other vet offices that are closer and more convenient, but I choose to make the drive to go here. Because it is just that important to have a veterinary practice you can trust completely with your pets' care.

I had the chance to utilize The Animal Hospital of North Charleston this past weekend and was nothing but pleased. I have a vet already that I absolutely LOVE and had actually followed him when he left his nearby practice to start his own practice about 40 minutes away and have continued to use him for years. However, this past weekend one of my dogs (which is a diabetic) became very sick, my vet has brief hours on Saturday (which most vets do) and I could not wait until Monday for him to be seen. Luckily I called The Animal Hospital and learned they had full weekend hours. Although they could not get Romeo in immediately on Saturday, they gave me some guidance over the phone and gave me an apt for first thing Sunday morning even though they had never saw us before. When we arrived Sunday every person in the office was very friendly, genuinely concerned and helpful. Vet Tech Katt assisted us during our visit and was very friendly and took the time to make sure we knew what was going on every step of the way and the cost of each thing they did along the way before they proceeded with anything. Dr. Ingram was our vet that day and she was wonderful. She could have opted to run all kind of tests but she opted to take a conservative approach for time being which I certainly appreciated. So many other vets will not do that. Their office has since called to check on Romeo to make sure he was feeling better and to see if we needed anything else. They are open 7 days a week and at what does not appear to be at a higher rate for that convenience, which is very helpful and unusual in this day and age. I would recommend Dr. Ingram and the staff for your pet care needs.

The worst experience ever! First off this so called dr. Caine told me my dog had a small bowel obstruction and surgery was necessary. Of course I said do whatever you need to, to make my boy feel better. When I got there to pick him up I was told he had massive amounts of diarrhea prior to surgery yet she still cut a 12 inch incision along his abdomen. Guess what she found nothing in his bowel. Of course not when he just shit prior to surgery. I was so upset that she did this. I ended up paying well over a thousand dollars for my boy to suffer for weeks after she cut him. This money can be replaced but my boy suffered for 2 weeks after this. I feel like Caine did this to him for the money and that's it. There was never anything obstructing his bowel. I would strongly suggest find another vet and if not stay with your fur baby and question everything. I wish I would've.

A wonderful hospital staffed with professional, caring staff. The doctors are outstanding professionals. They have taken care of 4 of our pets over the period of their lives and are now caring for Ellie, our new kitten. The techs are loving and caring. They truly do love their jobs and care greatly for your pet. The administrative staff is professional, courteous, and capable. I recommend The Animal Hospital to everyone with a pet, especially in the Oakbrook, Coosaw, Dorchester Road area. The hospital is so convenient.

THE STAFF at The Animal Hospital of North Charleston are wonderful! My dog Jake DOES NOT LIKE SMALL DOGS! They whisked him in to a treatment room, so that the smaller dogs could come in to the waiting area. I'm sure he could feel the tension from my stress & fear of the aggression & made him more tense. The did a fantastic job of keeping him as calm as possible & reassuring me that it was ok. They didn't treat him like, he is a " bad dog " or ME like, I am a bad MOM, because I couldn't keep the 93 lbs of raw muscle, GIANT licky-face sweetheart from dragging me around the room.... So thankful, that I was pretty much teary the entire time....I HIGHLY recommend the AHNC!

The staff at The Animal Hospital of North Charleston are great and they are very friendly. The only reason I put satisfied instead of very satisfied is that I want to wait and see how her treatment turns out. They really did an excellent job. I had no idea she had fleas because if there is a flea within a mile, it will usually find me and I had had no flea bites. They got Abby started on flea and heartworm protection so we will see how that turns out. In fact, I think I'll change my review here to VERY SATISFIED. I know Abby is going to turn out great after her visit there. Thanks to you all for your hard work and friendly attitudes.
UPDATE UPDATE: Abby turned out to be fine. The flea and heartworm medicine works fine. We have taken another of our dogs there. The staff treats your pet as if it is their own. I'm changing my review to VERY SATISFIED. AHNC is the best.
